DORMANT? BURIED TALENTS? THE TURNING POINT…

WE BELIEVE THERE IS A GREATER THAN AMONG US THAT CAN ENLARGE OUR POTENTIAL AND ABILITIES BEYOND THE REACH OF OUR HUMAN, FINITE REACH.
DORMANT: not doing anything at this time, not active, asleep, sluggish…
POTENTIAL: EXISTING IN POSSIBILITY, capable of development, a chance that something will happen, the possibility to make something better, capable, skill to do something well.
ABLE: to have enough power to do something,
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG) I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
LET ME ASK US A QUESTION? WHAT ARE YOU LEARNING? WHAT IS GOD TRYING TO TEACH US? WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING?

*I would do more if … __________________________________?
*I would be happier if… ________________________________?
GOD KNOWS HIS CHILDREN. GOD KNOWS YOUR NAME AND HE KNOWS YOU ABILITIES, YOUR STRENGTHS AND YOUR WEAKNESSES!
God invest in people. God gives talents according to our ability.
NO SADDER WORDS OF PEN OR TONGUE THAN THE WORDS WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN!
Matthew 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Why did God give 5, 2 and 1? God never expects what you cannot do? If God asked you to do something, He will give you the ability to perform the assigned task.
The 5 talent doubled to 10?
The 2 talent gained 2 more? Again he doubled? God never expected what he could not deliver.
Matthew 25:18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
THE SERVANTS KNEW THE MASTER WAS LEAVING AND TRUSTING THEM WITH THE TALENTS HE INVESTED IN THEM? WHAT WILL SERVANTS DO WHILE THE MASTER IS AWAY WILL REVEAL THE SERVANTS HEART?
WHAT DO WE DO WHILE WE ARE WAITING? WHY DOES THE MASTER LEAVE AND MAKE THEM WAIT A LONG TIME?
This could have a double meaning:
1. This could be to give a greater opportunity TO DO MORE?
2. This could be a testing of attitudes?
Matthew 25:19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
Why do two men hear: WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT AND THE OTHER MAN HEARS SOME SAD WORDS?
Matthew 25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
OUR ENEMY IS THE FATHER OF LIES! OUR ENEMY’S TARGET IS OUR MIND. HOW DOES THE ENEMY TARGET OUR MINDS? HE USES LYING ATTITUDES AND ½ TRUTHS. SO WE NEED TO KNOW THE TRUTH OF GOD’S WORDS TO EXPOSE …
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Our emotions and feelings will lie and distort the truth. Our sin is birthed in lies. The enemy desires us to fall in a mud puddle and stay there. You can get up any time you so desire?
*THE LIES OF THE ENEMY!
*1. I KNEW? LIE, IF HE KNEW WHY DIDN’T HE DO SOMETHING?
*2. YOU ARE A HARD MAN? LIE, THE MASTER WAS VERY FAIR.
*3. REAPING WHERE YOU HAVE NOT SOWN? LIE, THE MASTER SOWED SEED IN THIS MAN.
*4. FEAR! LIE, FEAR AND WORRY ARE TOOLS IN THE ENEMY’S TOOL BOX.
*5 THE OFFERING WAS EXCUSES. THE PERSON THAT OFFERED THE EXCUSES BELIEVES HIS OWN EXCUSES?
THERE IS A LYING SPIRIT THAT ACTUALLY ACCUSES GOD FOR OUR LAZINESS.
THE PERSON THAT DOES NOT REACH THEIR POTENTIAL IS CONSIDERED UNPROFITABLE AND WILL BECOME A CAST AWAY!
THERE HAS TO BE MORE FOR GOD’S PLAN FOR US. THE ENEMY WANTS US BURIED IN REGRET AND SHAME. AM I PAYING? LIVING AND DYING WITH THE CHOICES I’VE MADE:
George Jones: I’ve had choices since the day I was born. There were voices that told me right from wrong. If I had . NO, I had listened , no, I wouldn’t be here today, living and dying with the choices I’ve made.
George goes on to say: I GUESS I’M PAYIN’ FOR THE THINGS THAT I HAVE DONE. IF I COULD GO BACK … OH, LORD KNOWS I WOULD RUN. BUT I AM STILL LOSIN’. THIS GAME THAT I PLAY, LIVING AND DYING WITH THE CHOICES I MADE.
Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
THE BIBLE IS FULL OF PEOPLE THE CHANGE THEIR LIFESTYLES AND ATTITUDES TO FIND THE “GOD OF THE MORE.”
CONSIDER THIS: GOD’S PLANS FOR ME MIGHT BE GREATER THAN MY BOLDEST DREAMS?
IT MAY BE POSSIBLE THAT THERE IS MORE IN YOU THAN YOU HAVE EVER DREAMED?
Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
God has a plan and He knows His plan for you. The trouble might be we feel TRAPPED and DOOMED because we allow the PAST to define our FUTURE... Refuse to accept the LIES of our enemy.
It may be possible that God’s plan is larger than what your Mom and Dad ever dreamed you could do?
Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Could God’s plans be greater than what your school teachers saw as your potential?
Maybe God desires more than what your fellow peers think could be possible?
Could it be God’s plan is to release greater gifts than what your mind understands and what you know from your book learning?
Have you ever thought that God can reach down beyond what your enemies and ex’s think you can possess?
Could it be that God has a plan greater than what your spouse thinks it could be?
Maybe God has much more potential and kinetic energy than your boss and peers can see in your abilities?
It is possible that you could develop and be more than what you think and do?
It is possible that God’s plan is greater than your visual fields and your thinking patterns?
Perhaps God has buried talents hidden within you that a little more effort could release.
Buried talents? BURIED TALENTS ARE WASTING OUR POTENTIAL. Ever think that God could be waiting on you to submit and release miracles…
It is possible that GOD’S PLAN HAS GREATER THAN you are … God has invest so much in us…
MAYBE GOD HAS MORE FOR YOU THAN ANY ONE INCLUDING YOURSELF HAS THOUGHT IS POSSIBLE
MAY GOD WOULD LIKE US TO ARISE AND RELEASE GOD’S GREATNESS AND NOT OUR FINITE LIMITATIONS…
HAVE WE EVER CONSIDERED THAT IS WHY THE ENEMY IS FIGHTING US SO HARD… MAYBE WE NEED TO SEE AND CLAIM THE GOD POTENTIAL THAT IS BURIED AND HIDDEN IN OUR EXCUSES AND NEGATIVE WORDS…
BE HONEST HAS GOD GREATER THINGS IN STORE FOR US?
GREATER THAN WE HAVE EVER ASKED OR THOUGHT?
WE PAY DEARLY FOR WRONG CHOICES! WHY NOT APPROACH GOD’S THRONE AND TRUST HIS PLAN THAT IS GREATER THAN OUR ABILITY! GREATER THAN SYNERGY, OUR ABILITIES COMBINED!
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33 (MSG) Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.
WHILE WE HAVE DEVELOPED THE WRONG PRIORITIES AND PLAYED SPIRITUAL PEEK A BOO THAT GOD’S CALL IS BEING EXTENDED… HIS SPIRIT WILL NOT ALWAYS STRIFE WITH US…
WE RUN AWAY, WE BURY OUR HEADS IN THE SAND AND IGNORE THE POTENTIAL OF THE BURIED TALENT?
COULD IT BE GOD IS WAITING ON US TO LAUNCH OUT INTO THE DEEP?
GOD CAN GIVE US THE DESIRES OF OUR HEARTS… TROUBLE IS WE TEND TO DESIRE THE “THINGS” AND “I DESERVE TO BE HAPPY?” ALL I WANT IS TO BE HAPPY? CAN WE FIND REAL PEACE AND JOY OUT OF THE CENTER OF GOD’S WILL?
CONCLUSION: There is a GREAT THAN AMONG US… There is a greater than Abraham! Greater than Issac! Jacob! Greater than John the Baptist! Greater than the Queen of Sheba! Greater than Solomon! THE GREATER AMONG US IS EXPECTING A GREATER EFFORT AND GREATER WORKS! Get out of the dig. REACH HIGHER! Dream bigger!
