DIVINE APPOINTMENTS

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

I CHALLENGE YOU: Go into any store that sells lottery tickets. Look into their garbage cans. You will find hundreds of losing tickets… Money, big money just garbage. I saw a lady spend $21.00 on tickets. She threw them all away except one, SHE HAD A WINNING TICKET. I heard a lady bragging she won $3.00. Wait a minute? I saw her cash the ticket in and she purchased $3.00 worth of tickets that she threw into the garbage can. I heard her as she going out the door, she told a friend she won $3.00. That $3.00 cost her $24.00.
ARE WE CHASING RAINBOWS AND BUTTERFLIES? PHYSICALLY ALIVE BUT, SPIRITUALLY DEAD…

ARE WE SEARCHING FOR THE POT OF GOLD AT THE END OF THE RAINBOW? I heard an interview with GARTH BROOKS the famous country singer. The interviewer asked GARTH: HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE MADE IT TO THE BIG TIMES? YOU HAVE FOUND OZ! Garth said: OZ IS ONLY OZ, TO THOSE THAT DON’T LIVE IN OZ. He went on to explain Nashville is just like any other city, the dream may drive you but the achievement of the dream can be so ELUSIVE. If you are not happy here, what makes you think you will be happy OVER THERE?
WE HAVE SO MANY SPIRITUAL ZOMBIES--- THEY APPEAR ALIVE, BUT THEY ARE WALKING DEAD…
1 Timothy 5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.
Life is about perspective and mental thinking patterns. Life is much more than REACTION… Some never think and ACT BY FAITH, they are like a dead fish flowing down stream.

WE SERVE A TRIUNE GOD: the Father, the Son, Pthe Holy Spirit. WE ARE TRIUNE CREATURES… ASKED ANY WHERE AND YOU WILL BE TOLD BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT… WE PUT IN FIRST PLACE THE BODY… NOT SO IN THE WORD OF GOD, GOD LIST SPIRIT AS FIRST… LIFE IS ABOUT CHOICES AND APPOINTMENTS.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
ABRAHAM HAS AN APPOINTMENT, LEAVE HERE. Can you imagine Abe going to the local U-Haul to rent a truck? SARAH makes a mess, yet there is an appointment IN THE DELIVERY ROOM, 20 YEARS LATER. Genesis 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
NOAH WAS 500 YEARS OLD… NOAH’S NAME MEANS REST… NOAH HAD AND APPOINTMENT WITH GOD…
HE LIVED TO BE 950, HE LIVED 350 YEARS AFTER THE FLOOD…
Genesis 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
There is debate over how long it took to build the ark. Some say 95 years, others say 120…
Genesis 6:18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
One thing we know Noah had an appointment and he knew God.
JOSEPH WAS ON OF 12 SONS. JOSPEH HAD AN APPOINTMENT… 17 YEARS OF BAD STUFF…
Genesis 37:4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. 5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
JOSEPH DREAMED OF SHEAVES IN THE FIELD… they all bowed to him, the 11th sheave… not in Israel?
Another dream? The sun, moon, 11 stars: all bow? NEVER?
Joseph had some bad attitudes BUT HE HAD A DIVINE APPOINTMENT.
1st appointment was with a WELL!
2nd appointment was THERE JUST HAPPENED TO BE SOME CAMELS AND PEOPLE DRIVING BY?
3rd appointment was at a SLAVE MARKET, BUT GOD MY DREAM?
4TH appointment a slave sell, just happens to have POTIPHAR that that day looking for a good slave.
CAN IT GET ANY WORSE? WHERE IS THE DREAM NOW?
5TH appointment is in a bedroom, JOSEPH knew God and ran away.
6th YES, IT CAN GET WORSE… PRISON…
7TH appointment is to be locked up with BUTCHER AND THE BAKER.
8th appointment is to be promised and forgotten laying in a prison.
9th appointment to be remembered.
10th appointment is to clean up and GO MET PHAROAH…
Years later 10 brothers come knocking on his door. 17 long years.
GOD’S APPOINTMENT TAKES TIME.
MOSES MESSED UP HIS LIFE KILLING AN EGYPTIAN. MOSES SPENDS TIME IN THE BACK SIDE OF THE DESERT. MOSES, GOD HAS AN APPOINTMENT TODAY TO FOREVER CHANGE YOU AND HISTORY…
Moses gets up like every other morning. He eats breakfast and Sister Moses packs his brown bag lunch for the day. Moses kisses his wife and walks out the screen door… HE WILL NOT RETURN THE SAME WAY HE CAME.
Exodus 3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
MOSES SPENT 40 YEARS THINKING HE WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL IN THE PALACE…
MOSES SPENT 40 YEARS ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE DESERT AND FELT LIKE HE WAS A NOBODY.
THE APPOINTMENT WAS MADE BECAUSE MOSES LEARN HIS LAST 40 YEARS THAT GOD WAS EVERYTHING.
There was a divine appointment when Moses met God and life was forever changed.
OFTEN IN OUR DAILY MENIAL PROBLEMS WE FIND THE APPOINMENT OF DIVINE DESTINY AND DIVININE APPOINTMENTS…
1 Samuel 9:3 And the donkeys of Kish Saul's father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the donkeys.
THERE WAS AN APPOINTMENT MADE FOR A REAL TALL YOUNG MAN… SAUL WENT OFF ON A WILD GOOSE CHASE
SAUL SAID: LET’S TURN AROUND AND GO HOME AFTER DAYS SEARCHING FOR STUPID DONKEYS.
THERE IS A MAN OF GOD, LET US FIND HIM. JUST BY ACCIDENT THE PREACHER SAMUEL WAS HOME? GOD HAD AN APPOINTMENT MADE.
1 Samuel 9:6 ( And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go.
GOD IS WORKING ON BOTH SIDES…
1 Samuel 9:15-16 Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying, 16 To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.
SAUL CAME CHASING DONKEY’S HE LEFT AS THE FIRST KING OF ISREAL?
BOY, YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT, DON’T WORRY, EVERY SEES A SHEPHERD BOY, BE FAITHFUL IN THE LITTLE THINGS… DAVID LEFT THE HOUSE THAT MORNING TO CARE FOR THE SHEEP. HE WAS LEFT OUT OF THE PARTY WHEN THE PREACHER CAME…
1 Samuel 16:11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
1 Samuel 16:12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
EVERYONE, FATHER, BROTHERS THEY ALL SAW DAVID AS THE SHEPHERD BOY, GOD SAW THE LAD IN THE FIELD AND GOD SAW BEYOND TODAY… Young man you almost missed your appointment, but GOD SEES THE KING AFTER HIS OWN HEART.
THE GOOD OLD BOYS ARE WALKING WITH JESUS. JESUS TAKES A DIRECTIONAL CHANGE. WE ARE GOING TO SAMARIA?
WHY? JESUS YOU KNOW BETER? JESUS HAD AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN FAILURE IN LIFE… THE WAS A LITTLE WOMAN…
JESUS HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO RESCUE HER.
John 4:4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
There came was a woman in Sychar, Samaria
John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
GOD HAS AN APPOINTMENT SET FOR YOU… THE APPOINTMENT MAY BE ONE OF TWO WAYS. THE DEATH ANGEL OR MAY WE WILL BE LEAVING IN THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH.
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
LORD STAMP ETERNITY ON MY EYE LIDS, HELP ME FEEL A SERMON I COULD NEVER PREACH…
MAY I SEE THE HURTING THE LOST, THE DYING--- RACING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED TOWARD ETERNITY…
Matthew 24:44 herefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
CONCLUSION: There were 10 virgins. All 10 were virgins… 5 were wise, 5 foolish. SO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? ARE YOU READY? READY FOR WHAT? READY FOR ANYTHING? There is an eternal problem: DEAD PEOPLE CAN’T NOT MAKE THINGS RIGHT. Are you a spiritual zombie, spiritually lukewarm or cold? Do you have a current, today relationship with the LIVING SAVIOR? You are writing a book. Change the page. Start a new chapter. ARISE MY LOVE, REACH HIGHER!
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
