THE AURA OF REJECTION, ( LORD HELP ME UNDERSTAND ME?)

TEXT: Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
We live in a world that LOVES TO WIN, and if you lose something is wrong with the coach. FIRE THE COACH! Then what? You still lose?
I read a study of a losing football team in an upscale neighborhood. They fired the coach? The new coach came with great promise. They fired him after another losing season. A new coach came on board, guess what? They lost the first 3 games. The players when on “STRIKE.” They got their mom’s to go to the school board meetings and fuss and complain?
The players made signs and said the new coach called them lazy and was trying to make them do pushups, run, eat properly, and lift weights. The players thought this was mean and cruel and their mommy’s agreed. They had the TV station come out with the camera and record their losing attitudes.
I felt so sorry for the coaches. They were good, capable men and this hurt the fired coaches and set them and their families back. The rejected coaches just could not get the school system to see the bigger picture. Let us reject the coaches and REFUSE TO SEE, 4 BAD COACHES IN A ROW? Maybe the rejection of the parents and the team had more to do with losing?
WE CAN DEVELOP A LOSING ATTITUDE AND IGNORE THE REAL ISSUES. THERE IS GREAT POWER IN REJECTING AUTHORITY. REJECTION TENDS TO BLAME OTHERS FOR “WHERE WE ARE?” By the way where are you? How did we get here?
3 WORDS TO CONSIDER…
*AURA (OR-a)
An energy field that is held to emanate (come out of) from a living being.
A subtle sense,
The feeling that seems to come from a person, place or thing.
*FEAR:
An unpleasant emotion caused by being aware of danger. To be afraid of something or someone.
To expect, or worry about. Alarm.
*REJECT, REJECTION:
To refuse to believe, accept or consider. To decide not to do. To refuse to allow.
Disapprove, negative, withhold. Something that is not GOOD ENOUGH.
To throw away, to throw out.
THERE IS POWER IN FEAR…
RUMINATE: PONDER DO WE THINK WITH OUR HEART OR OUR HEAD?
I think maybe both?
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
FEAR IS A POISON THAT BREEDS AN AURA OF ANGER AND NEGATIVITY THAT WE CARRY HIDDEN DEEP WITH THE HEAD AND THE HEART.
This lesson I want us to RUMINATE ON THE POWER OF THE FEAR OF REJECTION.
WE MUST LLET THE HOLY SPIRIT OPEN THE EYES OF OUR HEART AND REVEAL TO US THE THINGS WHICH OUR ENEMY HAD BURIED IN OUR HEARTS.
HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE.
REJECTED PEOPLE REJECT PEOPLE.
These are the facts of daily life. The fear of rejection is killing good people.
DO WE KNOW THAT THE POWER OF REJECTION IS TERRIBLE? WOUNDED AND DYING???
BUT LET US RUMINATE THE FACTS THAT THE FEAR OF REJECTION IS CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT THAT IS WE CAN ACCEPT AS THE NORM.
Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
Proverbs 29:25 (MSG) The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in GOD protects you from that.
We are triune: --- SPIRIT--- SOUL--- BODY
We are 1. Physical 2. Mental 3. Emotional 4. SPIRITUAL.
We tend to focus on the TEMPORAL. GOD DESIRES US TO FOCUS ON THE ETERNAL.
ALL HUMANS GREAT AND SMALL FEAR REJECTION… WE NEVER DESIRE TO LOSE FACE? REJECTED?
Remember when the beautiful lady danced before the King? She sought her BITTER MOTHER’S OPINION on what to ask of the King? She could have had anything up to ½ the Kingdom.
Mark 6:25 And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist. 26 And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.
It appears the King wanted to SAVE FACE in front of his court and his girlfriend than to be rejected in front of people?
If he rejected the girls request, he FEARED REJECTION?
I HAVE ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT TO EXPOSE WHY WE EMIT THE AURA OF REJECTION?
Recently, I was visiting a man that is very sick and terminal. I decided prior to my visit to LISTEN. This man has several distinguished degrees and is in the WHO’s WHO? The conversation developed and the man started crying. This man has accomplished success in many areas. His accomplishments have been noted in the White House. It was an honor to visit with him. As the tears started flowing I saw him hesitate and then he opened up to me. THERE IS ONE THING I HAVE ALWAYS DESIRED THAT I NEVER ACCOMPLISHED, AND THIS MAKES ME FEEL LIKE A FAILURE? MY SUCCESSES ARE ALMOST MEANINGLESS, I HAVE NEVER ACHIEVED MY GOAL?
There was a pause and then the man declared: ALL I EVER DESIRED IN LIFE WAS TO PLEASE MY DADDY! I JUST WANTED DAD TO HUG ME? I JUST WANTED DAD TO SAY HE WAS PROUD OF ME? HOW I HAVE LONGED FOR DAD TO SAY: SON, I LOVE YOU AND I AM PROUD OF YOU! I JUST WANTED TO SIT ON DAD’S LAP AND HIM HUG ME TIGHTLY?
While everyone sees this individual and admires him, HE SEES HIMSELF REJECTED. He went on to tell me he desired two words on his tombstone: I’VE FAILED?
I tried to assure my friend, this is not true!!! He could not receive me?
NO! THIS IS NOT CHILDISH! THIS IS REAL REJECTION AT IT’S ROOTS.
REJECTION CAN BE REAL OR IT CAN BE IMAGINED?
FEAR BREEDS FEAR! REJECTION CAN DICTATE AND GROW FEAR THAT WILL HINDER OUR EMOTIONS AND SPIIRITUAL GROWTH.
What you fear must be FACED straight on…

SOMETHING IS HINDERING THEIR WORK? FEAR?
FEAR OF LIONS? LIONS NEVER ROAMED THE STREETS OF JERUSALEM?
Proverbs 22:13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.
Proverbs 26:13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.
YET, THIS EXCUSE IS REAL FEAR --- I WILL BE KILLED…
THIS ATTITUDE WAS NOT REAL EXCEPT TO THE ONE THAT WALKED THERE-IN.
FEAR! FEAR THAT NO BODY LOVES ME CAN CONTROL YOUR FAITH AND KEEP YOU WEAK.
Fear listens to THE GIANT’s message 40 days, 2 times a day.
WE MUST BE SET FREE, LIBERATED FROM THE FEAR OF REJECTION!
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
RUMINATE: WE HAVE BEEN SET FREE, YET WE COME IN BONDAGE AGAIN… WE FREE BEING REJECTED.
I CAN’T LOVE BECAUSE I HAVE NOT BEEN LOVED… IS NOT TRUE.
Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Romans 8:15 (MSG) This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It's adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike "What's next, Papa?"
SOME WILL HEAR THIS MESAAGE AND BE BLINDED BY THE LIGHT.
My parents were drunk. They fussed all the time. I went to bed in fear and woke up feeling REJECTED.
Early childhood SCARS CRIPPLE OUR FAITH AND THE FEELING OF WORTHINESS is hindered by the fear of rejection.
At school you wore hand-me clothes? Others knew and whispered about you behind your back?
YOU HAVE LIVED WITH A WOUNDED, HURT REJECTION? THAT IN TURN GAVE BIRTH TO AN ISOLATED SPIRIT?
YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO LOVE YOU?
MANY YOUNG PEOPLE OPT TO YOUNG MARRAIGES? LOOKING TO OVERCOME THE FEELINGS OF REJECTION?
DIVORCE IS FERTILE SOIL FOR REJECTION?
The husband feels rejected? The wife feels rejected?
We are raising thousands of children from divorced or broken homes STRAVING FOR AFFECTION and a show of emotion?
Mom does not love me? SHE SAYS I AM AN ACCIDENT?
CONCLUSION: WE FEEL UNWANTED? NO ONE DESIRES ME? WE LASH OUT IN ANGER AND DISRESPECT? We have REJECTION COMPLEXES THAT HAVE HAUNTED US MORE DAYS THAN WE WOULD BE WILLING TO ADMIT. We are oozing an AURA OF REJECTION. As we reach out, come out of our shell, we grab someone just like us REJECTED. Then we ruminate on WHY? WHY ALL THIS COLDNESS? LIFE IS A MIRROR? WE SEE OURSELVES AS DESPISED AND REJECTED?
OUR REJECTION AND HURT CAUSES US TO PULL BACK INTO THE SHELL OF REJECTION.
Psalm 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23 (MSG) Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I'm about; 24 See for yourself whether I've done anything wrong— then guide me on the road to eternal life.
Come sweet Holy Spirit and expose how the FEAR OF REJECTION is killing our potential! Hold someone near to you! Why fear saying I love you? Could the fear of rejection be killing the works of our faith?
