STUPID BREEDS STUPID...AS A PERSON THINKS

While the USA has the highest standard of living in the world, seems WE DO NOT HAVE THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF THINKING?
Do we realize: IT IS WHAT YOU THINK THAT BECOMES WHO YOU ARE.
THINK: To have an opinion, to have a thought in your mind, to believe that something is true, that a particular situation exist, that something will happen,
MAN HAS THE GREAT ABILITY OF BELIEVING WHAT HE THINKS?
I had an old friend that believed in SPONTANOUS LIFE...
If a horses hair fell into a creek, it would turn into a SNAKE? He really believed that and nothing you could say could change his mind... THIS WAS REALITY TO HIM! He saw a horse tail hair in the creek and a few days later he was back at the creek and there was a snake the same size of the hair --- THUS SPONTANEOUS.
MANY YEARS AGO PEOPLE THOUGHT AND TAUGHT THAT FLIES WERE MADE OUT OF ROTTEN MEAT ... You could not get people to change their THINKING PATTERNS. This was what had always been taught. INVALID CONCLUSIONS ARE DRAWN FROM IMPROPER THINKING...
NOW WITH SO MUCH CALCULATING AND THINKING BEING DONE BY COMPUTERS, WHY DON'T WE INVENT A WORRY MACHING TO WORRY FOR US?
Proverbs 23:7 (KJV) For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
I had a friend and as we were stand in a yard, he bent down and pulled a four leaf clover. He got out his billfold and opened it and showed me 10 or 15 four leaf clovers he had harvested. I was amazed at all of them.
He asked me how many four leaf clovers did I have? I TOLD HIM NONE. I DID NOT HAVE ONE? So he gave me one of his? he told me he looked in clover all the time?
I pondered why did he have a collection of them at home and in his billfold and I did not? The answer was clear? I HAD NEVER LOOKED FOR A FOUR LEAF CLOVER. Clove has little interest to me. I do not believe a four leaf clover is any more special that a three leaf?
I guess you find what you are looking for... ???
I have never carried a RABBITS FOOT for good luck. In my opinion the rabbit must not be very lucky to have such a bad limp, walking with 3 feet?

COULD I BE THINKING WRONG? INVALID CONCLUSIONS? THERE WAS A LITTLE GIRL THAT LIVED BEHIND THE CHURCH WHERE WE PASTORED. THEIR FAMILY ATTEND A CHURCH UP THE HOLLOW.
I was watching the little girl play. It had just rained very hard and puddles were all around. The little girl would run up to a big puddle and look in... She ran away in GREAT FEAR. She would carefully walk to another puddle, and in a few seconds she RAN AWAY IN GREAT FEAR? This behavior caught my attention.
After watching her several times, I wondered what could be causing such great fear. So I walked over and I asked the young girl what was causing her such great fear?
She was crying in fear. She went on to explained to me: THERE ARE DEVILS AND DEMONS IN THOSE PUDDLES. One of those demons might just grab me? I asked her what made her think there was demons in the puddles of water. She told me she saw them!
I hugged her and prayed and as I held her hand I walked her to the puddle and explained to her, THAT IS NOT A DEVIL, LOOK IT IS JUST YOUR REFLECTION. As we walked from puddle to puddle I said: SEE THE PRETTY GIRL IN THERE? THAT IS YOUR REFLECTION! That is not the demons.
Later I talked to the young mother. The young mother told me that there were devils and demons everywhere. They had been studying devils and demons at church, and she was learning to see the devils and they were everywhere.
I tried my best to tell her THAT JESUS WAS ALL POWERFUL AND JESUS IS OMNI-PRESENT. We do not have to worry about devils in puddles. The mom had seen them in there and taught her daughter to FEAR them. My heart broke... I GUESS YOU FIND WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING TO SEE...
WANT TO DISCUSS STUPID? IF YOU KEEP DOING THE SAME THINGS AND EXPECT DIFFERENT OUTCOMES, YOU MIGHT NEED TO CHANGE YOUR THINKING PATTERNS.
We had a dear friend in the 1970's that weighed 400+ pounds. She was killing herself by thinking wrong.
She had very expensive surgery and almost died. She was in the hospital several months.
She lost 270 pounds, she got down to 130 pounds, we were all amazed...
The doctor said you have to change your eating patterns and exercise daily.
SHE NEVER CHANGED HER THINKING PATTERNS...
THE LAST I HEARD FROM HER WAS NEAR 500 POUNDS AND COULD NO LONGER WALK AND WAS IN THE BED 24/7.
ARE YOU RIGHT IN YOUR OWN EYES? WHAT ABOUT GOD'S EYES?
SOME PEOPLE ARE SO PESSIMISTIC AND NEGATIVE, ALL THEY CAN SEE IS THE BAD...
SEEMS WE WANT TO FOCUS ON OUR FAILURES... GOD SAYS: FOCUS ON YOUR THE BATTLE --- YOU CAN WIN... FAILURE MIGHT BE ABOUT WHO YOU TALK TO...

SHIMEI KNEW DAVID'S FAILURES, HE HEARD THE RUMORS AND HE SPREAD THEM...
DAVID WRITES PSALMS 51... THE GREATEST CHAPTER IN THE BIBLE ON REPENTANCE.
DAVID PENS THE WORDS: THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD...
DON'T LISTEN TO SHIMEI?
LET US ASK GOD ABOUT DAVID?

GOD SAYS: I KNOW DAVID AS A FRIEND! DAVID KNEW HOW TO FALL FORWARD.
I WOULD LOVE TO TEACH MY SONS AND MY FRIENDS:
SONS, FAIL FORWARD... FAILURE CAN BE A GREAT TEACHER.
Study failure. Great people have failed. Virtually nothing is done perfect the first time.

FAILURE IS THE FINGERPRINT OF EFFORT...
EFFORT AND FAILURE ARE TEAM MATES.

PEOPLE MAY PERCEIVE ME AS IGNORANT AND UNLEARNED, BUT MY FAILURE LANDED ME AT JESUS' FEET. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DENY MY SAVIOR.
IT IS TIME, HIGH TIME, DUE SEASON THAT WE SEE THE ENEMY THROWS UP OUR FAILURES... BUT OUR FAILURES ARE OPPORTUNITIES TO BURN OFF PRIDE AND EXCESS...
There are 3 young men, not perfect but trying. They fall down. Everyone sees them fall...
Daniel 3:23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
The three Hebrew boys may have fallen down in the fire...

The only fall burn of the things which bound the men. They never smelled like smoke...
It has been suggested they were walking around to stay warm...

THE SECRET OOF THE FALL WAS JESUS WAS IN THE FIRE WITH THEM.
3 WALK OUT... JESUS IS STILL IN THE FIRE FOR WHEN WE FALL.

LOOK AT A BORN LOSER IN DUE TIME?
There was a boy born in a poverty area to a poor family. At 14 he dropped out of school? He got a job on a farm and hated it. At 16 he wanted to "get out of there." So he lied about his age and joined the army. He hated it. He never stayed in the army. He got a job in a black smith shop? He hated it and quit. At 18 he got a girl pregnant so he married her. AT 65 HE WAS A FAILURE...FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE HE HAD A DEPENDABLE CHECK COMING IN... HE RECEIVED $105.00 A MONTH SOCIAL SERCUITY...WHEN MOST WOULD HAVE QUIT, HE WAS JUST STARTING... HE OPENED A LITTLE PLACE ON US 25 AND STARTED COOKING FRIED CHICKEN. ONE DAY A LIMOUSINE PULLED UP OUTSIDE. A MILLIONAIRE NAMED JOHN Y. BROWN CAME IN TO EAT THE CHICKEN. YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY. COLONEL HARLAN SANDERS AND KFC... FINGER LICKING GOOD... KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN.
CONCLUSION: NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER QUIT, TRY AGAIN.
CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK...
WILL WE LEARN TO WALK BY FAITH? DO WE REALLY TRUST GOD? WHEN THE STORMS ARE RAGING HIGH? WHEN THE DOCTORS TELL US WHAT WE FEAR? CAN WE SEE BEYOND THE PILL BOTTLE?
2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
CAN A BLIND MAN DENY THAT THE MOON EXIST? JUST BECAUSE THE BLIND CAN NOT SEE THE MOON? HE CAN NOT FEEL THE MOON? BUT MY FRIEND, KNOW THIS --- WHILE THE BLIND MAN CAN NOT SEE THE MOON--- DOES NOT AT ALL KEEP THE MOON FROM SHINING?
Conclusion:
You can lead a horse to the water but you can't make him drink is a false statement. You can buy a salt block and place it in the field, and I promise you --- the horse will take a drink. We need to be the light and salt of this world.
Sin, divorce, drug addiction, heaviness, crime all start with the mind. If you think wrong, you will do wrong.
You are not allergic to thinking. Try it you might like it. If you think too little your tongue is probably shooting off like a rocket. Dream small, think small and you will limit God's plan for you. Start thinking of eternity's values and stop just thinking of yourself.
The people that think they know it all and are busy telling others how to do things?
I read 5% of people think.
10% of people think they think?
85% of people would rather die than think. They never think!
It is the 5% of people that think change things in the world and in the church.
Change your thinking and you will change the world! Choose to think on the 8 thinks the Bible teaches us to think on....
Why not ask God to open the eyes of our heart and to birth in us new creative thought that place the priority of the family back in the church?
