WORDS CAN NEVER CONVEY THE POWER OF YOUR ATTITUDES AND WORDS
IN YOUR DAILY LIFE. THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION YOU MAKE MIGHT
HAVE TO BE ABOUT YOUR CHOICE OF ATTITUDES YOU WILL MAKE...
The times had been hard and dark. The people had been crying a lot.
The Preacher calls the people around him and warns them:
QUIT CRYING --- CELEBRATE LIFE --- GIVE AND FIND JOY...
Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and
send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord:
neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
Facts and circumstances are cold and hard. You might not be able to change the
whole world but YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR ATTITUDES AND WORDS.
You can BOUNCE with your attitudes or you can be angry and allow your attitudes
to handicap you.
CAN WE UNDERSTAND CLEARLY WE CAN SUPPRESS AND OVERCOME BAD
ATTITUDES OR WE CAN CAVE IN AND LIVE IN GLOOM, DESPAIR AND AGONY
ON END...
We had a friend that demanded her way all her childhood.
Her mom and dad did whatever she demanded.
She controlled her parents by pouting and temper fits.
She stayed up all night and refused to go to bed.
She refused to get up and go to school, the parents got in trouble.
As a teenager she would pitch a fit and they would buckle under her orders.
They did not SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE of the monster they were creating.
She turned 16 and found her first job at WENDY'S, a hamburger joint.
Her job was simple, clean the tables off when people left and pick up anything
laying around.
Her first day at work some of her friends came in and she stood over one hour
talking and laughing with her friends.
HER BOSS CAME OVER TO HER AND TOLD HER THERE WERE MANY
TABLES THAT NEEDED ATTENTION.
The young teenager threw down her rags and spray bottle and screamed at the
boss: WHO ARE YOU? WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO?
She was FIRED on the spot.
This was but the beginning of A TERRIBLE JOURNEY OF LOST JOBS AND IT IS
ALWAYS THE OTHER PERSONS FAULT.
As an adult she got an apartment, she was EVICTED IN A SHORT TIME.
The neighbors were idiots?
She found a young fellow with much the same attitudes of entitlement and
YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO... the whole world is mean.
Today she is has been married several times and has several kids, by several men.
The social services have taken the kids several times, and suggested
ANGER MANGEMENT CLASS... Who are they to tell her what to do?
CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES HAVE TAKEN THE CHILDREN AND SHE IS
LOOKING FOR A FREE LAWYER TO GET HER KIDS BACK. SHE CAN NOT
DRAW A CHECK OR GET FREE RENT WITHOUT THE KIDS.
DOES THE BIBLE TEACH US ABOUT AN ATTITUDE IN GETTING UP?
I SUPPLY THE FUEL THAT STARTS THE ENGINE... DO I GIVE HOPE OR DOES
MY ATTITUDES TRAP ME IN A CYCLE OF ALLOWING THE CIRCUMSTANCES
TO DEFINE MY THOUGHT PROCESS...
WHAT DO I TEACH MY FAMILY? MY FRIENDS?
WHAT DO YOU TEACH YOUR KIDS ABOUT MONDAY MORNINGS?
SURE, WE TEACH OUR CHILDREN TO GET UP IN THE MORNING ---
BUT HAVE YOU EVER THERE IS MORE THAN TEACHING THEM ABOUT GETTING
UP? THERE MIGHT BE A LESSON IN HOW TO GET UP?
Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
GREET GOD EACH MORNING WITH A SMILE --- AND A RIGHT ATTITUDE:
NO COMPLAINING, NO GRIPING --- SMILE AND REJOICE...
THE BATTLE OF LIFE IS ABOUT ATTITUDES.
WILL WE TAKE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE IN A NEGATIVE SOCIETY?
I DESERVE THIS:
WE WANT WHAT WE WANT --- RIGHT NOW...
WE HAVE A SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT...
What do we think about entitlement?
The condition that I have the right to have this, do this, or get this...
THE FEELING OR BELIEF THAT YOU DESERVE TO BE GIVEN SOMETHING...
Governmental help to benefits...
I DEMAND MY RIGHT THAT I DESERVE THESE THINGS WITH NO EFFORT
WHAT IF I GET UP SICK? BIG SHOT? SO WHAT ATTITUDE?
THE VIP MUST LEARN A LESSON... GOD'S WAY OR THE HIGHWAY...
GOD WILL NOT CAVE IN TO THE DEMANDS AND WHIMES OF PEOPLE...
NOTI THOUGHT THE PREACHER SHOULD DO AS I THOUGHT HE SHOULD DO?
NAAMAN WAS A VIP, A VERY IMPORTANT PERSON... a mighty man in valor.
Naaman gave the orders every one jumped...
2 Kings 5:8 And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had
rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let
him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
NAAMAN WAS A SICK & ANGRY MAN...
HE THOUGHT HE COULD MANIPULATE GOD'S MAN...
2 Kings 5:11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will
surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike
his hand over the place, and recover the leper. 12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of
Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean?
So he turned and went away in a rage.
NAAMAN WANTED A CIRCUS LIKE ATMOSPHERE --- TENT REVIVAL...
I EXPECTED A SHOW ---
WE HAVE BETTER RIVERS THAN THE DIRTY JORDAN?
THE TALL TEMPER FIT ENDED IN A RAGE...
WE NEED AN ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT...
NAAMAN THE LESSON IS REAL SUBMIT --- BURY THE PRIDE AND EXPECTATIONS.
SOME LITTLE DUDE HAD ENOUGH SENSE TO SEE GOD'S HAND IN THE PLAN...
2 Kings 5:13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the
prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather
then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
WHAT ARE YOU GROWING?
FEW HONESTLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THE BOTTOM LINE OF A TEMPER FIT AND
POUTING REALLY CAN BE ---

SOME PEOPLE HAVE THE GIFT OF MANIPULATION?

To gain control to do what you want to do...
To take the power...
To move or control, to play upon artful, unfair, or insidious means to take advantage of the situation.
1 Kings 21:7 And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel?

Jezreelite.
YOUR ATTITUDES? GOD CONTROLS THE VOLUME BUTTON ---
GOD WILL GET YOUR ATTENTION---
GOD DOES NOT APPROVE OF A CONTROLLING SPIRIT AND THE ATTITUDE OF
ANGER THAT PLAYS THE HAND OF ENTITLEMENT AND MANIPULATION...
1 Kings 21:19 And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou killed,
and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD,
In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.
1 Kings 21:23 And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the
wall of Jezreel.

I read a story of a man that had been pretty sick. After many trips to the doctors and the
hospital ORVILLE KELLY WAS INFORMED HE HAD TERMINAL CANCER.
He and his wife started CRYING, and they went home TO START THE DYING PROCESS?
They did not know what to do? Do we tell our family and friends, or do we keep it a secret?
They started PRAYING WHAT TO DO?
God heard their prayers and their answer was clear: PLAY IT! PLAY ABOUT IT!
So they decided to throw a BIG PARTY and invite all their friends.
So everyone was enjoying the party and ORVILLE RAISED HIS HAND AND SAID:
I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE: YOU MAY WONDER WHY WE INVITED EVERYONE
OVER TONIGHT: WELL, THIS IS A CANCER PARTY. I HAVE BEEN TOLD I HAVE TERMINAL
CANCER. MY WIFE AND I DECIDED TO HAVE A TERMINAL PARTY SINCE EVERY PERSON
HERE IS TERMINAL --- SO WE HAVE DECIDED TO START A NEW ACTIVITY AMONG OUR
FRIENDS AND FAMILY... M.T.C. MAKE TODAY COUNT... EVERY ONE HERE IS A CHARTER
MEMBER.
Orville is traveling around to people, he has been too busy to die.
Orville keeps telling people: M.T.C. --- MAKE TODAY COUNT... Don't worry and cry all the
time, don't complain about death --- CELEBRATE LIFE, SING, LOVE, GIVE, INVEST ---
DON'T GIVE DEATH ONE MINUTE IN BAD ATTITUDES JESUS HAS PEACE AND JOY TO GIVE...
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto
you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
CONCLUSION: DO WE HONESTLY EVALUATE OUR ATTITUDES WHEN WE GET UP
IN THE MORNING? BEFORE WE SPEAK? Are you wearing a MASK to hide the truth?
