LASER? CONSIDER STUPIDITY AS A LACK OF FOCUS?

I use 3 items at the close of this lesson...
1. A CANDLE
2. A FLASHLIGHT
3. A LASER
HAVE WE EVER CONSIDERED WHAT WE ARE BUILDING? AND HOW WE ARE
BUILDING?
Use to lady's would sew dresses and clothes.
SPIEGLE PATTERNS were paper outlines. A sewer would cut the paper, pin it to the material
and cut and sew the dress together.
Titus 2:7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness,

ANY GOOD BUILDER WOULD NOT EVEN DIG A FOOTER FOR THE FOUNDATION WITHOUT
A DETAILED BLUE-PRINT.
1 Corinthians 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise
masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man
take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
SPIRITUALLY WE BUILD QUE SERA, SERA --- WHAT WILL BE WILL BE... ???
What are you going to do this summer? What will you do this school year?
What will you do with this week? Today?
TAKE HEED HOW YOU BUILD...???
Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost,
whether he have sufficient to finish it? 29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able
to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, 30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not
able to finish.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW CAN KILL YOU?
This man was driving down the road at a high rate of speed.
His blinker was on and blinking.
So the driver of the big rig assumed since the blinker was on the man would be turning.
The trucker pulled out since he was turning.
The man in the car hit the TRUCK and was dead within minutes?
Apparently the man did not know his blinker was on... He was not turning?
A simple mistake became fatal?
ARE WE DOING THE THINGS WE DO WELL? YOU CAN NOT PLAN ANY CHANGE FROM A
GRAVE YARD? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WINNING AND LOSING?
Pastor Lorie Vannucci told me many time while we would be driving down the road:
IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU WIN OR LOSE, UNTIL YOU LOSE. I have pondered those words
many times.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NLT) Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work

doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes
go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead
successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time. 12 People can
never predict when hard times might come. Like fish in a net or birds in a trap, people are caught by
sudden tragedy.
WE SHOULD NEVER USE THE TERM FOOL TO LIGHTLY ---
WHAT WOULD YOU THINK OF A DIVINE FOOL?
Common sense is not too common any more?
lacking in preparation, stupid, silly, not good judgment, no understanding, refuse to listen.
Luke 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose
shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
WANT TO COME AN REASON WITH ME ABOUT STUPIDY?
HISTORY IS FULL OF PEOPLE THAT SEEMED TO LACK PRACTICE IN WISDOM...
ONE SUCH MAN MAY BE COLONEL GEORGE ARMSTRONG CUSTARD...
1. Colonel George A. Custer was a military leader with the US Army, 7th Cavalry...
Custer was the Colonel over 700 men...
2. CUSTER was very concerned he had a PHOTOGRAPHER and TWO REPORTS assigned
to follow him and make public reports... CUSTER WANTED TO IMPRESS THEM...
Several arose from the military to become Senators and Presidents.
HE WAS LOOKING FOR POPULARITY... He was full of pride/arrogance.
3. CUSTER OVER ESTIMATE THE POWER, SUPERIORITY, TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT
OF HIS ARMY.
Custer had paid Indian scouts, 4 from the CROW TRIBE, 2 from the PAWNEE TRIBE.
BLOODY KNIFE was one of the must trust scouts of the day.
BLOODY KNIFE ADVISED CUSTER TO WAIT, REST AND LET THEM SCOUT THE ENEMY,
CUSTER LAUGHED AND THE WARNINGS WERE UNHEEDED.
4. CUSTER UNDER-ESTIMATED HIS ENEMY ---
THE ARMY THOUGHT THE INDIANS WERE WEAK, LAZY, AND STUPID...
SO THE ARMY DIVIDED IT'S FORCES IN 3 GROUPS... THEY WERE DIVIDED ---
CUSTER WORKED ON THE INCORRECT ASSUMPTION THERE WERE ONLY 800,
The Indians WERE UNITED ---
A. THE NORTHERN CHEYENNE
B. THE ARAPAHO SITTING BULL & CRAZY HORSE---LEADERS
C. THE LAKOTA
D. SIOUX
5. THE US ARMY WAS APPROACHING THIS HALF-HEARTED ---
THE 4 UNITED GROUPS HAD JUST COME OUT OF A RELIGIOUS SEASON CALLED
SUNDANCE... THEY WERE RENEWED, REFRESHED AND READY...
SITTING BULL had a VISION he shared: HE SAW THE US ARMY DEFEATED AND FALLING
LIKE GRASSHOPPERS BEFORE THEM.
THE 7TH CALAVARY WAS WEARY, TIRED... THE ENEMY WAS NOTHING...
6. CUSTER HAD AVAILABLE TO HIM MANY GATLIN GUNS... High powered, fast machine
guns... Custer said they were to hard & slow to move, BESIDES WE DO NOT NEED THEM...
There was 150 wagons of supplies, but we can't wait.
SO ON JUNE 25-26, 1876 IN THE MONTANA TERRITORY NEAR THE LITTLE BIG HORN
RIVER --- WE COME TO WHAT WE CALL: CUSTARD'S LAST STAND...
ONE SOLDIER SAW THE BATTLE WAS TERRIBLE, A MAN NAMED CROOK TOLD HIS
MEN, THERE IS NO HOPE, FOLLOW ME AND WE WILL RETREAT AND PULL BACK
TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY...
CUSTER AND 5 COMPANIES OF SOLDIERS WERE ON A HILL, ALL THAT REMAINED
DIED...
268 MEN DIE ON ONE HILL...
CUSTER REALIZED TOO LATE --- IT WAS TOO LATE ---
IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS ---
268 MEN DIED... 55 SEVERLY WOUNDED... 6 WOULD DIE LATER...
CUSTER THIS DID NOT HAVE TO BE "THE LAST STAND!"
CUSTER WAS WOUNDED IN THE CHEST AND A HEAD WOUND?
WHY? WHY?
I HAVE IN MY HAND A CANDLE, A FLASH LIGHT AND A LASER LIGHT...
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you.
LET US REASON AND CONSIDER WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE...
Sure all 3 are tools... they give off light and heat...
The candle gives itself for the light... PHOTONS A LAUNCHED, decaying photons...
The flashlight is very nice to have in a dark night.
THE LIGHT MOLECULES OPERATE INDEPENDENT, PHOTONS OCCASSIONALY HITTING
EACH OTHER --- WASTED POWER... WASTED A CHANCE TO WORK TOGETHER...
each doing their own thing?
THE LASER SPEAKS OF UNITY AND FOCUS...
THE LASER IS EXCITED MOLECULES WITH A MIRROR...
THERE BECOMES SUCH AN EXCITEMENT THAT THE PHOTONS UNITEAND STEP
AT 186,000 MPH A SECOND.
THE LASER IS FOCUSED IN UNITY, A MIGHTY ARMY IN A TIGHT FORMATION...
CONCLUSION: Ever thing about the power of UNITY. 2 or 3 agreeing?
What can happen in a couple, a family? a church? If we were patient, excited, and pulling
together? Will we be a laser for Jesus?
