Life is about choices, daily menial choices.
A consider ACTION? But often we are driven not by action but by REACTION.
I read a study of successful people.
1. 3/4 of all successful people came from severe poverty and many from broken
homes and sad lives.
2. Many of these successful people knew terrible psychological scars.
3. 1/2 of the individuals had serious handicaps to overcome.(Cripple, deaf, blind, etc.)
One way to SEE how tall you really are is to JUST JUMP IN OVER YOUR HEAD?

RIGHT NOW! WE DEMAND THE SUDDEN MOVE OF GOD FOR US TO PRAY,
SNAP OUR FINGERS, AND SUDDENLY THE ROAD IS SMOOTH AND EASY.
MAY GOD HAS A BETTER PLAN. MAY GOD REFUSES TO WORK ON HIS
TIME-TABLE... GOD IS GOD...
GOD IS LOVE, LOVE IS PATIENT... SUFFER PEOPLE... GOD DOES...
LOVE IS PATIENT!
DEFINE PATIENT, PATIENCE:
Able to remain calm and not become annoyed when waiting for a long time
or when dealing with problems or difficult people.
Done in a careful way over a long period of time without hurrying.
Bearing pains and trials calmly without complaint,
Forbearance under provocation or strain,
STEADFAST DESPITE OPPOSITION, DIFFICULTY, OR ADVERSITY.
Able or willing to bear, LONGSUFFERING
A person that has to wait: PATIENT
LOVE IS PATIENT!
THE SUDDEN, NOT SO SUDDEN MOVE OF GOD REQUIRES LOVE AND PATIENCE.
THE BATTLE IS THE FLESH AND THE SPIRIT ---
I CAN'T WAIT, I WILL HELP GOD...
Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and
from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great;
and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that
curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
THERE IS A WONDERFUL PROMISE OF GOD TO ABRAM AND HIS WIFE SARAI.
They believe the promise and ACCEPT THE PROMISE AS PERSONAL.
SO THEY RENTED A U-HAUL TRAILER AND OBEYED GOD...
THEY LOADED UP THE TRUCK AND THEY MOVED TO BEVERLY, HILLS THAT IS...
NOW ABRAHAM AND SARAH ALLOW SELF-DOUBT TO GET THEM TO
MOVE IN THE REALM OF THE FLESH AND RE-DEFINE WHAT GOD SAID ---
INTO WHAT GOD REALLY MEANT...
So Sarah has a bright idea.
GOD MUST HAVE MESSED UP WAITING SO LONG... WE ARE TOO OLD...
HERE IS PRETTY WOMAN HAGAR...
ABRAHAM WAS MORE THAN READY TO ACCEPT THIS NEW YOUNG WOMAN...
THE FLESH IS LOOKING FOR LOVE IN THE SUDDEN MOVE OF GOD...
LOVE IS NOT ALWAYS SUDDEN AS MAN SEES SUDDEN...
ISHMAEL IS NOT THE SPIRIT'S SUDDEN MOVE OF GOD...
ISHMAEL IS THE FLESH ANSWER TO NOT WAITING FOR THE SUDDEN MOVE
OF A HOLY GOD.
ALMOST IMMEDIATELY SARAH SAW: BOY, WE HAVE MESSED UP NOT WAITING
ON GOD'S NOT SO SUDDEN MOVE...
LOVE IS PATIENT! ATER ALL THE MESS THAT IMPATIENCE MADE ---
GOD HAS A SUDDEN, NOT SO SUDDEN MOVE AND THE SPIRIT REALM REIGNS...
GEN. 21: 1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as
he had spoken. 2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set
time of which God had spoken to him. 3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was
born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac. 4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac
being eight days old, as God had commanded him. 5 And Abraham was an hundred years
old, when his son Isaac was born unto him. 6 And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh,
so that all that hear will laugh with me. 7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham,
that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.
JUST LIKE GOD PROMISED... ABRAHAM AND SARAH HAD A SON...
Can you image a 100 year old man walking in Wal-Mart and buying pampers?
TODAY THERE IS A WORLD WIDE BATTLE GOING ON:
THE SEED OF THE FLESH- ISHMAEL ARE WARRING WITH---
THE SEED OF THE PROMISE ---
THE BATTLE IS HOT AND HEAVY, THE MOSLEM, ISIS, THE FLESH
ARE BATTLING THE JEWS AND THE CHRISTIANS BECAUSE PEOPLE
INSERTED THE FLESH OVER THE SPIRIT REALM.
LOVE IS PATIENT! WHAT A SPECIAL GIFT --- GROWTH AND MATURITY CAN BE!
ALL OF A SUDDEN, YET NOT SUDDENLY ---
HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THE CENTURY PLANT?
There grows a plant in the USA's desert called the CENTURY PLANT.
AGAVE AMERICANA.
This plant thrives in the desert areas that are rocky and mountainous.
The Century Plant has large leaves that are about a foot wide.
It can grow to be 12 feet in diameter.
This plant knows difficult living conditions.
It has a very long REPRODUCTION CYCLE.
For 20 to 30 years the plant puts out no flowers and it's height stays the same.
THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN (and it is not suddenly) A NEW BUD COMES FORTH.
This plant that has not grown an inch in 20 to 30 years:
HAS A SUDDEN BURST OF GROWTH.
The plant looks like an ASPARAGUS SPEAR THE SIZE OF A TREE TRUNK.
SUDDENLY THE PLANT BEGINS NEW GROWTH AT ABOUT THE RATE OF
7 INCHES A DAY. THIS GROWTH WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE PLANT
REACHES FROM 20 TO 40 FEET IN HEIGHT.
As the new growth slows, at the top of the new growth, will be several
golden blossoms the may last three weeks.
FOR 20 TO 30 YEARS THE LIFE CYCLE SEES NOT GROWTH AT ALL.
WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN SUPER GROWTH OCCURS.
THE GROWTH OCCURS AFTER A WAITING SPAN OF 20 TO 30 YEARS...
TO SEE THE GROWTH TAKES PATIENCE...
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap,
if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men,
especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

WE LIVE IN A GET RICH QUICK, FAST PACED, HURRY UP, INSTANT, QUICK,
DEMANDING SOCIETY.
We are always in a rush... FASTER CARS AND PLANES ---
We have automatic washers, dyers, dishwashers, color TV's,
no more dial phones --- we have speed dial, high speed Internet...
Seems that many feet run fast to chase sin... HASTE MAKES WASTE...
It is better to measure twice and saw once --- than to measure once and saw twice?
IN HASTE AN ANIMAL REFUSES TO SEE THE TRAP BEFORE THEM...
PETER WAS OFTEN IN A HURRY, hurry up prayer meetings --- sleep.
HURRY TO GET OUT OF THE BOAT --- quick to sink?

LIVE TEACHES PATIENCE!
I read a story of a farm that had been in the family for generations.
On this farm they raised crops for the family and they made their cash money
by traveling to a near by city and selling their surplus produce.
The family had done this for years. They had an old ox drawn cart and several
times a year the father and his son would pick the vegetables and load them
on the cart and travel to the city and sell their fresh veggies.
SEEMS THE SON HAD A DIFFERENT ATTITUDE AND HIS VALUE SYSTEM WAS
MUCH DIFFERENT THAN HIS FATHER. The son loved to travel and he was always
in a hurry --- HE WAS A GO GETTER. His Dad had learned with the years to
TAKE IT EASY AND ENJOY THE DAY.
The Father and his son had worked so very hard and the harvest was ripping.
So they gathered they crop and loaded it onto the cart and left for the big city.
The young man could not wait to see the bright lights of the city. As they began
the journey the OLD OX WAS TOO SLOW... The son took a stick and would
whip the old ox to go faster. The Father said: SON, THE OX IS OLD AND WILL
TRAVEL AT IT'S PACE.
The young man suggested LET US TRAVEL ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT
AND WE WILL GET THERE SOONER and we will MAKE ALOT OF MONEY.
The father said: TAKE IT EASY SON as he pulled the ox cart to the side and
laid down to get a good nights rest and allow the OLD OX TO REST.
They got up the next morning and the son was in a hurry and hitched the ox
to the cart and wanted to HURRY UP.
They traveled a lot that day and as the day was tuning to shade, the old man
said: MY BROTHER, YOUR UNCLE LIVES OVER THERE, LETS STOP AND
SPEND THE NIGHT WITH HIM. WE CAN SEE HOW THE FAMILY IS DOING?
The young man was so angry: HE COULD CARE LESS ABOUT HIS FAMILY,
HE DEMANDED THEY TRAVEL AND SKIP THE FAMILY TIME!
The night the family laughed and cried as they remember the past.
The next morning the son hooked up the cart and wanted to leave at day light.
The old man said: LET'S EAT BREAKFAST WITH THE FAMILY, we don't
know when we will get here again, so they ate breakfast and away they went.
THE BOY WAS SO ANGRY, HE FELT WE WILL NEVER GET THERE.
About half way to the big city the ROAD FORKED.
The son said, DAD WHICH FORK DO WE TAKE?
The Dad said: THE FORK TO THE LEFT IS THE QUICKEST, BUT THE ROAD
TO THE RIGHT IS SO BEAUTIFUL --- WE WILL REALLY ENJOY THE SIGHTS
WE WILL SEE.
As they traveled the old man told his sons many wonderful stories of the past
and he told him the history of the family and the area.
in great anger the lad said: DAD, NEXT YEAR YOU ARE STAYING HOME.
YOU ARE MORE INTERESTED IN THE FLOWERS AND THE FAMILY THAN
YOU ARE ABOUT SPENDING TIME IN THE CITY AND MAKING THE MONEY!
The Dad said: Well son, that is nice what you said to me as they laid their
heads down and studied the stars.
The son said: Tomorrow if we travel hard we will make it into the big city
and we will sell our stuff and enjoy several days in the city.
As they were traveling they came across a total stranger, his ox and cart
slipped of the road and he was hopelessly stuck.
The old man climbed down off the cart and he and his son pulled the cart
out of the ditch.
The son was so angry and said we will lose more time.
The father said: SON, RELAX, MAYBE SOMEDAY WE WILL BE STUCK
IN A DITCH AND WE MIGHT NEED HELP?
ABOUT THAT TIME THERE WAS A HUGE SOUND BEYOND THUNDER?
THERE WAS A GREAT FLASH OF LIGHT... TOWARD THE CITY THERE
WAS A GREAT CLOUD OF DUST AND SMOKE... IT GOT VERY DARK.
THE SON SAID: SEE NOW DAD, IT IS GOING TO RAIN AND DELAY US
EVEN LONGER!
LATE THAT AFTERNOON THE OX CART AND THE TWO MEN TOPPED
MOUNTAIN AND THEY COULD SEE THE BIG CITY.
AS THE TWO MEN PEERED OVER THE CITY, NEITHER ONE OF THEM
SAID A WORD --- IT WAS TERRIBLE THE DESTRUCTION OF THAT
CITY --- THE CITY OF HIROSHIMA...
AS THEY STOOD LOOKING OVER THE DESTRUCTION THE SON TURNED
TO HIS FATHER AND SAID: "I SEE WHAT YOU MEAN, TAKE IT EASY AND
ENJOY LIFE!"
The two of them turned the cart around and headed home.
SEE WHAT SEEMED TO BE A DELAY WAS GOD WATCHING OVER THEM.
At 8:15 am, August 6, 1945 the ENOLA GAY dropped a bomb called:
"LITTLE BOY" an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. 70,000 people died
instantly, 70,000 more died as a result --- 2/3 of the city of Hiroshima was
destroyed. The city was demolished.
CONCLUSION: LOVE IS PATIENT... PATIENCE IS A DIRTY WORD TO
US TODAY. FOR WE KNOW PATIENCE AND TRIBULATION ARE KISSING
COUSINS. You do not have to pray for patience. If you live long enough
patience will be one of your great lessons. God is your FATHER.
GOD IS LOVE. LOVE IS PATIENT. TO UNDERSTAND LOVE WE MUST
SUBMIT TO GOD'S PLAN AND TRUST HIM.
