In the following verse, Babylon, meaning "confusion" is symbolic of religiously confused people who would live at the end of time when Jesus returns.
Revelation 18:4

And there appeared a wonder in heaven; there was war in heaven:, Michael and his angels fought against the devil the devils angels fought, and there were no place found for them. I beheld Satan fall from heaven like lightning, his tail drew a third part of the angels with him.
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, She brought forth a Son, The dragon stood before her ready to devour her Child as soon as He was born.
rejoice, ye heavens Now is come salvation, the strength, the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ – he was foreordained before the foundation of world, to save those who are lost. when he had purged our sins, He sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
God sent not his Son into the world not to condemn the but that the world through Him might be saved.
As he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him, saying, Tell us, what is the sign of thy coming, and the end of the world?
Jesus said, take heed that no man deceive you. Many false prophets shall rise, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these things are the beginning of sorrows, but the end is not yet. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and persecuted for my name's sake.
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, stand in the holy place, making war with the saints through miracles and lying wonders Blaspheming God, know that the end is near, even at the door. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? We casted out devils and we did in thy name – and we did many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:(no relationship) depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But watch thou in all things, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry and endure afflictions Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in the kingdom of heaven. When ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. But the end it not yet.
Rev : I saw angels fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: Babylon is fallen, is fallen, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
And after these things I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: Let us be glad and rejoice, give honour to him: for the marriage supper of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous. There were seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
And the angels, poured out their vials upon the earth; and And the kingdom of the beast gnawed their tongues for pain, and they repented not to give him glory. blasphemed the name of God
And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightning's; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
And the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you So shall it be at the end of the world
And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. Behold, I make all things new. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let Surely I come quickly..
And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. And lo im with you always
the LORD shall rise that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act. For many are called, but few are chosen.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are the and pure in heart they shall see God. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
