I. WHAT DO YOU WANT? CAN YOU FEEL A PARADIGM SHIFT?
I WILL FEAR NO EVIL? I WILL FEAR NO EVIL!
A. DO WE UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ROD? THE STAFF?
B. Do we understand the difference in a FIDDLE and a VIOLIN?
The difference? There is no difference in the VIOLIN and the FIDDLE.
They are the same instrument. They are tuned the same way. They both use a BOW.
Then what is the difference? It is easy.
The way you play the instrument determines if it is a FIDDLE or a VIOLIN.
1. If you play MOZART #5 or classical music, it is a VIOLIN.
2. If you play BOIL THE CABBAGE DOWN, bluegrass --- it is a FIDDLE.
Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
C. THE ROD vs. THE STAFF?
1. The ROD is for correction and to keep you straight.
2. The STAFF is for comfort, safety, to draw you closer.
D. The Holy Spirit can bring bright light when all around is DARK.
Your behavior, your attitude, your actions will determine whether you will
face the ROD? or the STAFF.
E. You can be calm and in peace... EVEN WHEN THE WORLD TEDDERS BACK AND FORTH.
YOU NEVER NEED TO FEAR EVIL... THE GOOD SHEPHERD HAS A PLAN.
F. God does not abdicate HIS THRONE when the sun goes down...
Sin, religious backslidding, indifference, apathy, darkness can never DIM THE LIGHT and EYES
OF BELIIEVERS.
Death is as a man wrapping himself in a blanket and laying down to rest.
GOD DECLARES WE MUST NOT FEAR EVIL.
II. WHAT DO YOU WANT, MY FRIEND? CAN YOU FEEL THE WIND IS BLOWOING?
WILL WE HEAR THE CRY? REVIVAL WINDS? CHANGE IS COMING?
YOU EVER DREAM: I KNOW THERE IS MORE? THANK GOD FOR THIS, BUT THERE
IS A SOUND OF A RUSHING MIGHTY WIND --- NOT EVERYONE CAN HEAR THE
STILL SMALL VOICE OR THE WIND BLOWING IN THE TOP OF THE TREES?
A. DO YOU KNOW TODAY HOW WE IDENTIFY A BLIND PERSON?
Today, if we see a WHITE, RED CANE, we understand that person is LEGALLY BLIND!
Mark 10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great
number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
B. In Jesus' day the BLINDNESS SIGNAL was different. A blind person learns to depend on their other
senses. They can hear better? They pay attention more.
A BLIND PERSON wore a DISTICTIVE COAT, one could see the coat at a distance and
IDENTIFY the person wearing the COAT AS BLIND.
C. THIS BLIND MAN WAS KNOWN AROUND JERICHO. For many years he daily begged for his food,
and depended on the kindness of others. Blind people were considered OUTCAST. He could not
go into the church?
D. BLIND BARTIMAEUS CAN YOU FEEL IT? THERE IS A MIRACLE COMING...
Occasionally this blind man must have heard the BUZZ of a GROUP of people coming by?
He heard a lot of noise? He must have heard someone speak of THE SON OF GOD, JESUS.
E. WHAT? DID YOU SAY JESUS IS COMING DOWN THE ROAD? JESUS?
IT IS MY TIME!
Luke 10: 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou
Son of David, have mercy on me.
III. THE RELIGIOUS POSTURE IS FOLD YOUR ARMS AND BE QUIET!
BE QUIET! BE QUIET BLIND MAN --- I REFUSE TO BE QUIET, TODAY IS THE DAY OF MY MIRACLE.
DO NOT BE CRUEL AND TELL OTHERS CALM DOWN...
A. The earth around the Blind man is SHAKING, MY MIRACLE IS COMING...
B. BARTIMAEUS SAYS: I WILL BE LOUD! I am going to GET THE ATTENTION OF THE SON
OF GOD... HE GROWS LOUDER.
Luke 10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried
the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
C. I KNOW JESUS IS COMING NEAR, I WILL, I WILL GET HIS MY MIRACLE TODAY!
IV. SURELY JESUS WILL COME TO ME?
NO! IT IS EASIER FOR JESUS TO COME TO ME? WHAT DO YOU MEAN COME TO YOU?
I DO NOT KNOW WHERE YOU ARE? JESUS DEMANDED AN EFFORT TO RELEASE
THE MIRACLE.
A. Hey Blind man, JESUS SEES YOU...
B. Jesus is CALLING YOU!
Luke 10:49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man,
saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
V. BLIND BARTIMAEUS SENDS A FAITH SIGNAL, HE SAYS I AM TIRED OF WHERE I AM,
YOU CAN TAKE THIS COAT --- MY MIRACLE IS COMING, I WILL NEVER NEED THIS AGAIN.
A. Do we recognize we are standing on HOLY GROUND?
B. While the religious crowd says: SHUT UP ---
WE HAVE COME TO THE POINT OF CHANGE... I am tired of the LIMITATIONS of my
past and my HANDICAPPS.
Luke 10: 50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
VI. JESUS ASKS THE DUMBEST QUESTION? BLIND MAN, WHAT DO YOU WANT?
BARREN? DRY? RELIGION CAN KEEP YOU TRAPPED? GIVE JESUS A CHANCE!
A. Jesus came this way, by JERICHO, TO BRING ABOUT A CHANGE ---
B. What do you want? Well, I would like a MONTHLY CHECK?
Luke 10:51 Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The
blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. 52 And Jesus said unto him,
Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately
he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
VII. WANT TO DISCUSS OPPORTUNITY?
GOD IS LOOKING FOR THE OPPORTUNITY AND THE PLACE AND THE PERSON TO
SHOW WHAT HE CAN DO!
DO WE REALLY BELIEVE THIS?
A. Have you heard? Do you know GOD HAS A PLAN and a PURPOSE beyond your
FAITH'S LIMITATIONS?
2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew
himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done
foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
B. A PUMMET, PLUMB LINE --- STARTING POINT OF A MIRACLE.
Zechariah 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and
shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the
LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
MY FRIEND GOD NEEDS YOU TO STEP UP AND BECOME A MIRACLE FOR SOMEONE
THAT IS CRUSHED, HURT, BITTER ---
1. JESUS I HEARD YOU WERE HUNGRY, MY MOM PACKED A MIRACLE
IN THIS BROWN LUNCH BAG... IT LOOKS LIKE 5 BISCUITS AND 2 FISH...
BLESS IT LORD...
2. A great, valiant soldier name NAAMAN WAS HOPELESS ---
A little girl was a slave, a captive said to HER MISTRESS ---
There a GOD IN ISRAEL, AND A PREACHER...
The little girl brought the MASTER SOLDIER A HEALING BY OBEDIENCE
TO DIP 7 TIMES...
3. JESUS WAS IN BETHANY, A BAD WOMAN CAME IN THE ROOM...
IF JESUS JUST KNEW... THE ROOM OPENS A MIRACLE WITH HER TEARS,
HER HAIR AND HER ALABASTER BOX --- SHE ANNOINTS THE SON OF GOD
FOR HIS BURIAL.
2 Kings 4:3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty
vessels; borrow not a few.
4. YOU CONTROL THE SIZE OF THE MIRACLE --- BORROW NOT A FEW...
The size of your miracle will depend on how many BVESSELS YOU BRING TO BE
FILLED.
PURPOSE YOUR MIRACLE...
2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly,
or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
CONCLUSION: The EYES of a HOLY GOD are passing by here? Where is here?
Here is where ever there is a need and FAITH That will override the comfort zone and
reach for more.
