BE A MIRACLE FOR HURTING PERSON ...
HANDS FULL ON PURPOSE TURNS INTO A MIRACLE ---
By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com
There was a circle of young boys gathered around a cute little puppy dog. One by
one they were talking. The deal was whoever could tell the biggest lie won the dog
to be their pet. The boys told their stories.
A preacher came up and asked what the boys were doing?
They told the preacher they were having a LYER'S CONTEST!
The Preacher told the boys what a shame. The preacher said all I ever tell is the truth.
I never lie. I never lied when I was a young boy, shame on you all.
The boys voted on who's lie was the best?
The PREACHER WALKED AWAY WITH A CUTE, NEW PUPPY IN HIS ARMS.
I. HAVE YOU EVER LEARNED THAT LIFE CAN HURT AND LEAVE US VERY BITTER?
SOME SEEM TO THINK A CHRISTIAN LIFE SHOULD BE EASY, A ROSE GARDEN OF
BEAUTY. THE WISE UNDERSTAND ROSES COME WITH THORNS.
Ruth 1:1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the
land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his
wife, and his two sons.
A. THE NATION OF ISREAL HAD BEEN FLOWING WITH GREAT BLESSINGS.
Sin gradually sneaks into the camp and the people of God BACKSLIDE.
B. DROUGHT comes as a matter of judgment.
Hard, difficult days turn into weeks, into months and a Godly family has to find RELIEF.
C. ELIMELECH makes a decision and tells his wife: NAOMI ---
We have nothing else we can do but PACK our essentials and MOVE TO MOAB.
D. ELIMELECH and NAOMI packed the U-Haul truck and took their two sons:
MAHLON and CHILION and left Israel for MOAB.
HARD TIMES FORCED THEM ---
E. MOAB was LOT"S oldest son. ABRAHAM was Moab's UNCLE.
MOAB was east of the Jordan River and the DEAD SEA.
FROM THE TOP OF MOUNT PISGAH SEVERAL PROPHETS PEERED INTO THE
PROMISE LAND.
II. MIRACLES? MIRACLES CAN COME THROUGH PEOPLE...
SOMETIMES LIFE GOES FROM DIFFICULT AND HARD TO WORSE AND TROUBLE
BECOMES OVERWHELMING. WHY GOD? WHY?
Ruth 1:3 And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.
A. Death visits and leaves NAOMI a widow with two sons, and no insurance and no
Social Sercuity.
B. The two sons grow up and marry two MOABITE GIRLS...
They were making it...
C. THE TWIST TRAIL OF HARD LIFE LEADS TO UNCHARTED WATERS.
ONE SON DIES. THE OTHER SON DIES.
NOW WHAT CAN WE DO? The drought has passed and NAOMI makes the decision to
GO HOME.
III. FEAR AND DOUBT CRUSH NAOMI, which means the LOVABLE, DELIGHT---
GOD HAS A PLAN AND GOD USES A MOABITE'S KINDNESS TO REACH DOWN...
GOD TOUCHES PEOPLE THROUGH PEOPLE...
A. There are many of God's people around during NAOMI'S DARK DAYS...
B. GOD USES WHO HE CHOSES...
IF NOT YOU? THEN WHO!
IF NOT HERE? THEN WHERE
IF NOT NOW? THEN WHEN
Ruth 1:16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee:
for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my
people, and thy God my God:
IV. LIFE HAS BEEN MEAN TO ME, NEVER CALL ME A DELIGHT AGAIN! I AM NOT
LOVABLE? I AM CRUSHED AND CRUSHED AGAIN --- I CAN NOT NOT SEE GOD'S
LIGHT IN THIS DARK DAY.
A. This is so bad, I will never laugh again.
Ruth 1:20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath
dealt very bitterly with me.
B. Just call me HURT, BITTER, WASHED UP...
V. IF THE LORD IS WITH YOU --- YOU CAN BE A MIRACLE.
GOD HAS A PLAN, IT IS CALLED A KINS-MAN REDEEMER...
IT MAY LOOK DARK TODAY BUT LADY --- GOD HAS ALREADY MADE A WAY AND
DIVINE FAVOR AND BLESSING WILL REIGN AGAIN.
A. The WELFARE SYSTEM of that day was called GLEANING...
LEAVE THE CORNERS ...
B. BY ACCIDENT? Happenstance RUTH BECOMES A MIRACLE TO NAOMI...
AND RUTH AND NAOMI RECEIVE A MIRACLE IN RETURN...
WILL YOU BE SOMEONES MIRACLE TODAY?
C. THE MIRACLE IS THE LORD IS WITH YOU...
Ruth 2:4 And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be
with you. And they answered him, The LORD bless thee.
5 Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this?
6 And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel
that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab:
7 And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so
she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the
house. 8 Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another
field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:
9 Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the
young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and
drink of that which the young men have drawn.
VI. STAY FAITHFUL, GOOD COMES OUT OF BAD.
THE LORD KEEPS GOOD RECORDS --- THERE IS A PAYDAY AHEAD ---
IT IS CALLED RECOMPENSE
A. Hey, BITTER-HURT WOMAN GOD KNOWS YOU --- NAOMI YOU WILL LAUGH AGAIN...
YOU ARE A DELIGHT TO GOD... LOVABLE
Ruth 2:11 And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast
done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and
thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not
heretofore. 12 The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of
Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust. 13 Then she said, Let me find favour in thy sight,
my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid,
though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens.
VII. GOD'S RECORDS RECORDED NAOMI'S PAIN AND GOD HONORED HER WITH RUTH
AND GOD HONORED RUTH WITH A MAN NAMED BOAZ...
GOD'S MIRACLE COMES THROUGH HANDS ON ANOTHER PERSON ---
COULD YOU BE SOMEONE'S MIRACLE TODAY?
A. BOAZ THE GIVER GIVES A MIRACLE AND RECEIVES A MIRACLE...
Ruth 2:16 And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may
glean them, and rebuke her not.
B. NO ACT OF KINDNESS GOES HIDDEN FROM A HOLY MIRACLE WORKING GOD.
VIII. HURT, CRUSHED MARA IS RESTORED... A MIRACLE WORKED THROUGH THE
HANDS OF A MOABITE DAUGHTER IN LAW THROUGH THE HANDS OF A KINSMAN-
REDEEMER. GOD IS LOOKING FOR FAITHFUL PEOPLE TO HONOR HIS WORK.
Ruth 4:14 And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, which hath not left thee this
day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.
15 And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy
daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.
16 And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.
17 And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they
called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
GOD HAS BEEN BETTER THAN 7 SONS TO YOU...
This miracle action carries them into the new Testament
Matthew 1:5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and
Obed begat Jesse;
CONCLUSION:
MY FRIEND GOD NEEDS YOU TO STEP UP AND BECOME A MIRACLE FOR SOMEONE
THAT IS CRUSHED, HURT, BITTER ---
1. JESUS I HEARD YOU WERE HUNGRY, MY MOM PACKED A MIRACLE
IN THIS BROWN LUNCH BAG... IT LOOKS LIKE 5 BISCUITS AND 2 FISH...
BLESS IT LORD...
2. A great, valiant soldier name NAAMAN WAS HOPELESS ---
A little girl was a slave, a captive said to HER MISTRESS ---
There a GOD IN ISRAEL, AND A PREACHER...
The little girl brought the MASTER SOLDIER A HEALING BY OBEDIENCE
TO DIP 7 TIMES...
3. JESUS WAS IN BETHANY, A BAD WOMAN CAME IN THE ROOM...
IF JESUS JUST KNEW... THE ROOM OPENS A MIRACLE WITH HER TEARS,
HER HAIR AND HER ALABASTER BOX --- SHE ANNOINTS THE SON OF GOD
FOR HIS BURIAL.
2 Kings 4:3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty
vessels; borrow not a few.
4. YOU CONTROL THE SIZE OF THE MIRACLE --- BORROW NOT A FEW...
The size of your miracle will depend on how many BVESSELS YOU BRING TO BE
FILLED.
PURPOSE YOUR MIRACLE...
2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly,
or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
