I HAVE A CROSS AND THREE NAILS BEFORE THE CROWD...
I HAVE 8 PIECES OF WOOD WITH THE 8 THINGS PAINTED ON THEM...
THE CRUCIFIXION...
Type of punishment in ancient times.
Deut. 21:23 His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise
bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled,
which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
BEFORE THE CROSS OR CRUCIFIXION CAME A CONDEMNATION, THEN A SCOURGING...
The tradition was to mix vinegar (acid) and gall (bitterness) ... TO NUMB...
Matthew 27:34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would
not drink.
JESUS REFUSED...

THERE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ENEMIES OF THE CROSS... WITHOUT & WITHIN
Philip. 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are
the enemies of the cross of Christ:
I have heard several debate the THREE RUSTY NAILS... through the flesh was what
kept Jesus on the cross those hours until HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD ...
HEBREW FOR NAIL: YATHED...
PEG, NAIL FOR PIERCING...
Col. 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened
together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

THERE WERE 3 CRUCIFIED THAT DAY:
1. ONE DIED IN SIN
2. ONE DIED TO SIN
3. ONE DIED FOR SIN...
DID 3 BIG, RUSTY NAILS HOLD JESUS TO THE CROSS?
THERE WAS MUCH MORE THAN NAILS HOLDING HIM...
1. THERE WAS A ROPE OF THE PROMISE OF GOD... FORE ORDAINED PLAN...
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;
it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Genesis 12:3 I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all
families of the earth be blessed.
2. THERE WAS A ROPE OF GOD THE FATHER'S WILL...

4. THERE IS THE ROPE OF SUBSTITUTION... NOT A HIRELING BUT A REAL SHEPHERD...
2 Cor. 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him.
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
John 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
5. THE ROPE THAT HELD JESUS TO THE CROSS TOOK THE STINGER OUT OF DEATH,
TOOK OUT THE VICTORY OF THE GRAVE...
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed
upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance
of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
1 Cor. 15:55-56 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

6. THERE WAS A ROPE THAT JESUS HUNG THE DEVIL WITH... JESUS TOOK THE KEYS BACK...
Matthew 16:19 I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on
earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

keys of hell and of death.
7. THERE IS A ROPE THAT HELD JESUS TO THE CROSS TO BRING SINS DOMINION...
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

place for you.
[3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where
I am, there ye may be also.
JESUS COULD HAVE CALLED AT ANY TIME AND HIS FATHER WOULD HAVE SAID THAT WAS
ENOUGH. THOUUSANDS OOF ANGELS WOULD HAVE CRUSHED ROMAN...
IT WAS NOT THE NAILS --- THE ROPES --- IT WAS GOD'S PLAN AND PURPOSE...
