#2 CAN GOD FIND INTERCEDERS?

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh,
shall he find faith on the earth?
DEFINE:
INTERCEDE, INTERCESSION
To be situated between things, To find away to get over or through difficulties.
To intervene on behave of another, to plead, prayer.
Mediate, to produce agreement or RECONCILIATION.
I. INTERCESSORY PRAYER IS NOT OPTIONAL IT IS AN IMPERATIVE COMMAND...
INTERCESSORY PRAYER WILL ALWAYS BRING BENEFITS... IT IS PREVALENT...
A. WE ARE ALL ON A MISSSION... AN ERRAND OF AN HOLY GOD...
THIS ERRAND IS PRAYER AND INTERCESSION...
Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to
faint;
B. EMPTY HANDS? EMPTY HEARTS? EMPTY PRAYERS...
THE VEIL IS GONE...
THE DOOR OF MERCY AND GRACE IS OPENED TO PRAYER AND INTERCESSION...
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
C. Intercessory prayer is a sweet incense in the GOLD CENSER on God's altar.
II. WILL WE CAST IN OUR MITE OF INTERCESSORY PRAYER ON THE ALTAR OF GOD...
A. ARE WE EVER WITHOUT LOST, SICK, HURTING???
B. LAY YOUR PETITION OF THE THRONE ... ASK AND GOD GIVES...
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened
unto you:
Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall
be opened unto you.
C. ASK BIG... ASK BOLD... CHURCH ASK WHAT WE WILL...
UNPRAYED PRAYERS WILL NEVER BE ANSWERED...
III. BUT I GIVE MYSELF TO PRAYER... THERE ARE DIRECT BENEFITS... TO PRAYER...
A. WHAT LESSONS DID DAVID LEARN AND TEACH?
WHAT IS A BENEFIT?
Favorable, helpful, bring or receive advantage, gain.
Psalm 103:2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
B. DAVID LEARNED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE POWER HE HAD...
Psalm 109:4 For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.
C. THROUGH PRAYER AND THE WORD THERE WAS HEALING AND DELIVERANCE.
Psalm 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
IV. OUR ENEMY FEARS ANY SAINT THAT PRAYS FAITHFULLY... SATANIC ORDERS ARE
KEEP THEM FROM PRAYER.
SIN KEEPS US FROM PRAYER --- PRAYER KEEPS US FROM SIN...
Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
A. WE HAVE NOT FOR 2 REASONS:
1. WE DON'T ASK
2. WE ASK AMISS
James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye
have not, because ye ask not.
[3] Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
B. WE CAN NOT ALLOW OUR FAMILIES TO BECOME WAR ZONES...
1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife,
as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
V. MORDECAI WAS AN INTERCEDER... HE TAUGHT ESTHER HOW TO INTERCEDE...
CAN WE HEAR THE MORDECAI CALL?
A. Mordecai was the Uncle to Esther...
B. Mordecai was sensitive to the Spirit of God and what was going on around him.
Esther 4:1 When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth
with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;
C. If Mordecai had not been a prayer warrior he, his family, Esther would have died...
D. HAMAN'S PLOT WOULD HAVE WIPED OUT THE JEWS NATION AND THE SEED OF JESUS.
E. WHAT COULD THE INTERCESSION AND PRAYERS AND FASTING OF GOD'S PEOPLE DO TODAY?
VI. INTERCESSION CAN HELP GOD'S PEOPLE GROW IN GRACE AND WISDOM...
A. We can not stay the same... we must GROW... we must VALUE MORE...
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory
both now and for ever. Amen.
B. IF WE LACK CREATIVE ABILIITY --- GOD HAS IT... GOD CAN GIVE IT...
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and
upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
C. WILL WE ASK FOR GOD'S GIFTS AND WISDOM?
D. WILL WE ASK BOLDLY...
VII. PRAY, INTERCEDE FOR JERUSALEM... WE NEED TO PRAY FOR ISRAEL...
SHE HAS BEEN IN A DROUGHT... PALESTINES AND MOSLEM PEOPLE HATE HER...
THIS INTERCESSION HAS A PROMISE ATTACHED TO IN...
Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
IX. GOD DOES NOT CALL ALL TO THE MISSIONS FIELD! BUT GOD DOES CALL ALL TO THE
MISSION OF THE LOST SOULS...
CAN WE HEAR THE CALL? THE MISSIONS CALL?
A. There are millions going to hell...
IF EACH WON ONE...
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
B. WE DO NOT SEE TRACTS NOR DO WE HEAR OF SOUL WINNING...
Acts 16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and
prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
X. WE NEED INTERCESSION AND INTERCESSORS TO BE AFLAME OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as
we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
[27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh
intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
A. WE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PRAY...
B. MAKE PETITIONS, REQUESTS, BEG EARNESTLY... ASK
LOOK FOR AN ANSWER...
1 Tim. 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks,
be made for all men;
XI. TAKE GOOD COURAGE THAT JESUS HAS PRAYED FOR US... AND THAT HE NEVER CEASES
TO MAKE INTERCESSION FOR US. GRACE AND MERCY WILL OUT RUN JUDGMENT...
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is
even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
A. RIGHT HAND MAKING INTERCESSION...
Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen
thy brethren.
B. JESUS IS WITH US ALWAYS... EVEN TO THE END OF THE WORLD...
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am
with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
XII. THE LOORD WANTS TO BLESS HIS PEOPLE...
THERE ARE ANGELS ALL AROUND... HANG ON AND INTERCEDE.
2 Chron. 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself
strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly:
therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
Psalm 34:7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
Psalm 41:2 The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth:
and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
