in Lynch, Harlan County Kentucky.
4. There is a huge Memorial to Abraham Lincoln, in Springfield, Illinois.
They temporarily buried Lincoln under the hill, and kidnappers tried to steal his body
and sell it for a ransom. When The Memorial was finished Lincoln's family asked for him
to be buried under 10 feet of concrete.

soldier died the arm throws a shadow...
II. THE MEMORIAL TO JESUS TAKES A DIFFERENT FORM THAN ANY MEMORIAL EVER...

THE WAY THAT YOU APPROACH THE TABLE ... YOUR ATTITUDES... YOUR DAILY BEHAVIOR...

1 Cor. 11:17 Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better,
but for the worse.
[18] For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I
partly believe it.
[19] For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest
among you.
[20] When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.
[21] For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
[22] What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them
that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
[23] For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same
night in which he was betrayed took bread:
[24] And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for
you: this do in remembrance of me.
[25] After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament
in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
[26] For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
[27] Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of
the body and blood of the Lord. [28] But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and
drink of that cup.
[29] For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the
Lord's body. [30] For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
[31] For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

1 Cor. 11:17 In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good.
[18] In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and
to some extent I believe it.
[19] No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval.
[20] When you come together, it is not the Lord's Supper you eat,
[21] for as you eat, each of you goes ahead without waiting for anybody else. One remains hungry,
another gets drunk.
[22] Don't you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those
who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? Certainly not!
[23] For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was
betrayed, took bread,
[24] and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in
remembrance of me."
[25] In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood;
do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
[26] For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
[27] Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty
of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
[28] A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.
[29] For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment
on himself.
[30] That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
[31] But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment.

III. THIS MEMORIAL DEMANDS THAT YOU LOOK AROUND YOU...

V. PART OF THE COMMUNION MEMORIAL IS THAT LOOK FORWARD...
WE MUST HAVE HOPE AGAINST HOPE... PEACE THAT PASSES UNDERSTAND...
TODAY IS NOT THE FINAL PRODUCT...

VII. JESUS ONLY TAKES THREE CUPS WITH THE BOYS...
REMEMBER JESUS' DEATH... MORE THAN LIFE...

that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
[30] And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
A. THE FOURTH CUP WAS NOT FORGOTTEN... THE FOURTH CUP WAS DELAYED
Mark 14:25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that
I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
[26] And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
B. WHEN WE GET TO HEAVEN THE 4TH CUP IS WAITING...
