SANITIZE SIN?

I. WE MUST COME TO REALIZE WHEN MANKIND APPROACHES THE TROPIC
OF SIN... ALL PPEOPLE HAVE THE TENDANCY TO MAKE LIGHT SIN AND SIN'S
CONSEQUENCES...
A. COULD THESE THREE TYPES OF EXCUSES LEAD TO THE TENDANCY OF SIN?
Matthew 22:1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
[2] The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
[3] And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and
they would not come.
[4] Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold,
I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are
ready: come unto the marriage.
[5] But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm,
another to his merchandise:
B. COULD THESE THREE TYPES OF EXCUSES LEAD TO THE TENDANCY OF SIN?
1. MATERIALISM:
The tendency of people to prefer material possessions and physical comfort MORE THAN
SPIRITUAL VALUES...
A humanistic theory that nothing exist but matter and its movement
2. SELF WILLED --- FOCUS ON SELF...
3. GREED
4. APATHY AND INDIFFERENCE
5. WRONGFUL PRIORITIES
6. SCHEDULING EVENTS
7. RELATIONSHIPS
8. DESPISE THE GOOD
9. BUSINESS
10. TOTALLY MISSING THE DIVINE PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR FLESHLY DESIRES...
II. IS SIN A MIRAGE? IS SIN THE OBJECT OF SOME RELIGIOUS FRUIT CAKE?
IS SIN AN ILLUSION?
MIRAGE:
A. Optical illusion, I do a few things that are optical illusions to illustrate how
you senses can play games with your brain...
B. ILLUSION:
Deception, delusion
Misapprehension of the true state of affairs
Invalid or faulty perception of external or internal issues
FIGMENT OF IMAGINATION
C. I never know how to handle when a person is out of reality.
Therefore if there is no safety issues I often just play their game.
D. Lee told me today: Who owns that truck?
I said: I don't know?
He then said he had noticed that the air conditioning belt was broken
on that truck out there.
I just said: LEE, I WILL CHECK IN ON THAT AND TRY TO GET HIM TO
CORRECT THE PROBLEM.
Lee laid his head back on the pillow and went back to sleep.
E. I was visiting this old lady that often saw things not exactly as they really
were...
We were sitting at her kitchen table.
She raised her voice very loud and said: THERE IS A BIG BUG!
I said: WHERE?
She said: THERE IS A BIG BUG RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TABLE!
I just took my hand, I hit in the middle of the table real hard.
I said: THERE I KILLED IT, IT IS SQUASHED DEAD.
She jumped up from the table screaming to the top of her voice:
PREACHER, YOU DID IT NOW!
I said: I killed it!
She said: YES, YOU LILLED IT, BUT WHEN YOU SQUASHED THE BUG A
MILLION BABY BUGS CAME RUNNING OUT OF HER AND NOW THEY ARE
ALL OVER THE KITCHEN!
I thought I was so smart? I enlarged the problem?
III. THE WORLD HAS BECOME CHURCHIE... AND THE CHURCH HAS BECOME
WORLDLY... WE CAN TEND TO ALLOW SIN TO BECOME A JOKE THAT DAVID
LETTERMAN, JAY LENO, AND SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE MOCK AND MAKE FUN OF...
SIN IS MORE THAN RELIGIOUS FANATICS PLAYING WORD GAMES...
A. SANITIZE:
To change the conditions and tire to remove the dirt, infection, or the bad.
Make sanitary, disinfect,
Render more acceptable by removing improper or disturbing information
To clean up,
B. JUSTIFY:
To show as right,
To demonstrate reasons or grounds
C. RATIONALIZE:
A rational but specious explanation of behavior or attitude...
To make excuses
D. PALLIATE:
To alleviate pain or disease without curing it...
To excuse, EXTENUATE
E. EXTENUATE:
To try to lessen the seeming seriousness of
Not accept guilt or shame...
IV. SIN HAS A BAIT THAT LURES THE INDIVIDUAL, BUT NEVER FORGET
BEHIND SIN'S BAIT IS A SERIOUS HOOK...
A. WAGES vs GIFT
WAGE: fixed payment, return, recompense, earn
GIFT:
Something given, not earned...
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
B. There are some that recognize SIN ---
but they REFUSE TO SEE THE CONSEQUENCES...
C. MOSES GAVE PHAROAH THE OPTION...
Pharoah are you tired of the FROGS?
Moses gives Pharoah the option: WHEN DO YOU WANT THE FROGS REMOVED?
For some reason Pharoah opted for ONE MORE NIGHT WITH THE FROGS?
This is beyond my reasoning?
D. SIN HAS A THREE FOLD EFFECT ON THOSE THAT PLAY SPIRITUAL GAMES...
1. SIN WILL ALWAYS TAKE YOU FARTHER THAN YOU PLANNED ON GOING...
2. SIN WILL ALWAYS KEEP YOU LONGER THAN YOU PLANNED ON STAYING...
3. SIN WILL ALWAYS COST YOU MORE THAN YOU PLANNED ON PAYING...
V. SIN BRINGS DEATH, MORE THAN ONE DEATH...
A. SIN BRINGS PHYSICAL DEATH... Death was not part of the Garden until sin
enters...
B. SIN SEPERATES BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT...
C. SIN SEPERATES MAN FROM GOD AND GOD FROM MAN... SPIRITUAL DEATH.
D. SIN SEPERATES MAN FROM MAN... war, strife, division, fussing,
E. SIN, UNREPENTED SIN WILL BRING AN ETERNAL SEPERATION FROM MAN,
GOD, AND GOD'S PLAN FOR YOU.
VI. SIN HAS A CURE...
THERE IS MORE TO THE VICTORY OVER SIN THAN TURNING OVER A NEW LEAF.
Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign
through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
A. Water can not wash your sins away...
B. Good words can not justify a man...
C. We don't need to clean up the OLD MAN, we need a NEW MAN...
D. THE CROSS IS THE CURE...
Satan is not alive and well... he has a terminal disease...
CONCLUSION:
THERE IS GREAT DANGER IN NOT SEEING THE DANGERS OF SIN.
Adam and Eve never repented?
Let us acknowledge our sin, repent and bring forth fruit...
Matthew 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:
repent ye, and believe the gospel.
