INTRODUCTION: I am told that many animals use their whiskers, antenae,
or feelers to help them.
THE WHISKERS ON A DOG OR CAT ARE IMPORTANT. They use them to measure
and determine their ability to crawl through places by feeling with their whiskers.
An animal with no whiskers is at a great disadvantage...
IT CAN'T SENSE PROPERLY...
WE TOO HAVE SENSORS THAT HELP US NAVIGATE PROPERLY...
A. G-MAIL: From God and the Holy Spirit...
E-mail: From family and friends...
D-MAIL: from the devil to depress, discourage, despair, down...
Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them,
Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Mark 12:24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not
therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the
power of God?
B. YOU CAN NOT ALLOW THE PAST TO DICTATE OR DEFINE YOUR
PRESENT OR YOUR FUTURE.
II. HAVE WE HEARD: LET YOUR CONSCIENCE BE YOUR GUIDE?
A. CONSCIENCE:
MORAL SENSE OF RIGHT AND WRONG...
B. Conscience is the faculty of the mind... the sense of right and wrong we carry from
birth.
C. The conscience is the MORAL CHARACTER OF HUMAN CONDUCT...
D. ALL MEN CARRY FAULTY FACULTIES DO TO THE FALL FROM GRACE.
1 Tim. 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
E. Our GOAL in life has become: FEEL GOOD...
MAN HAS A GREAT TENDANCY TO JUSTIFY HIMSELF.
Life is a theater ...
F. SITUATION ETHICS define our behavior...
I had to do this...
G. Our words, our behavior patterns, our hobbies, OUR LOVE, our INTEREST DEFINE
WHO WE ARE?
H. What is truth? Is there a standard of truth?
Shall we compromise and sear our consciences to ACCEPT the current flowing
down stream?
III. FACTS ARE ALWAYS BEFORE US... VALID OR INVALID...
IT IS OUR ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOR REGARDING THE FACTS THAT WILL
CAUSE US TO INTERPRET AND DRAW CONCLUSIONS REGARDING THE
FACTS...
A. Fact: 2+2=4
So what? I don't care? Why?
B. Let us look at a statement...
My PRESENCE can make a difference...
Is that true or false... ?
How can your PRESENCE MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
C. If that statement is VALID, is this statement valid...
My PRESENCE can make a difference...
MY ABSENCE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE...
D. LIFE IS MORE THAN STATEMENTS BEING VALID OR INVALID...
LIFE IS HOW I APPHREND, PERCEIVE, AND INTERPET THE STATEMENTS
THAT I HEAR...
E. THEN HOW WILL I APPLY MYSELF TO THE INTERPETATION OF THE FACTS...
IV. LET US DEFINE SOME TERMS...

Thing that is known to have occurred, to exist, or to be true...
Reality
B. APHREHEND:
To seize, arrest, to understand
Anticipate with uneasiness... or fear
C. PERCEIVE:
Apprehend through sight, sound, feeling
Apprehend with the mind...
D. PERCEPTION:
The intuitive recognition of a truth,
Aesthetic quality, realization, feeling, insight, notion
E. PERCEPTIVE:
Capable of being sensitive, discerning, OBSERVANT....
Alert, attentive,
F. INTERPRET:
Explain the meaning, clarify
To bring out the meaning of...
To understand and explain...
V. HUMAN NATURE IS A DRIVING FORCE IN ANY LIVIN
IS OUR FOCUS ON EARTHLY, NATURUAL, FLESHLY DESIRES, CARNALITY...
A. TODAY THERE ARE MANY PARASITE THRIVING WITHIN THE FAMILY, THE CHURCH
AND THE FAMILY.
IT WOULD BE A GREAT STUDY TO IDENTIFY AND PERCEIVE WHAT THE
PARASITES ARE THAT CAUSE LEADERS TO BE ANEMIC...
B. PARASITE:
Organism living in or on another and BENEFITING AT THE EXPENSE OF THE HOST.
C. ANEMIC:
PALE, LACKING VITALITY, no power, little to no strength,
NOT HAVING ENOUGH RED BLOOD CELLS...
Philip. 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and
whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
D. PETER --- ONE OF THE HAND CHOSEN SEEM TO FIND HIS HEART
SPENDING TIME IN AREAS OF NO SPIRITUAL PROFIT.
Matthew 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me,
Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that
be of God, but those that be of men.
VI. WE MUST ACCEPT THAT THERE IS AN ETERNAL PART OF MAN...
THE SPIRIT PERSON IS OF FAR MORE VALUE THAN THE FLESH'S
CARNALITY...
2 Cor. 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish,
yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
[17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more
exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
[18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are
not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are
not seen are eternal.

ENTERTAINMENT? THE WASTING OF TIME...

DON'T REMOVE THE ANCIENT LANDMARKS...
Proverbs 22:28 Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
B. How will we understand or aphrehend?
How shall we APPLY THIS LESSON?
C. ROME WAS THE MOST POWERFUL GOVERNMENT OF IT'S DAY...
Rome had no enemy that could DEFEAT IT...
D. Rome started DEBASING THE MONEY... Money's real value slowly faded to have
NO VALUE...
E. THE CRY FOR ENTERTAINMENNT IS A KILLER PARASITE DESIGNED BY
OUR ENEMY. The cry for entertainment is THE POWERFUL LESSON OF
WASTING PRECIOUS, LIMITED TIME... IN NON-PRODUCTIVE VALUES...
A society that seeks ENTERTAINMENT as a GOAL and ACCEPTS WASTING
F. TIME AS A NORM WILL ALSO FIND ITSELF RUNNING, HIDING AND
ESCAPING FROM MANKIND'S MORAL NEEDS...
VIII. PROCRASTINATION --- A LACKING OF ETERNAL VALUES --- WILL BUILD
MANY ALTARS TO THE GOD OF ENTERTAINMENT...
A. One of our greatest sins of this age is THINKING WE HAVE PLENTY OF TIME...
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and
all these things shall be added unto you.
[34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought
for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
B. Check out what our SCHOOL SYSTEMS place as IMPORTANT...
C. We are gradually walking away from the MORAL VALUE SYSTEM that made this
nation great.
D. The god of entertainment has altars all around the USA.
70,000 people to a basketball game?
110,000 to a football game in freezing snow?
E. The gods of entertainment have become BELLY GODS --- FEEL GOOD...
If this is wrong --- I DON'T WANT TO BE RIGHT?
F. HAS THE CHURCH BECOME FEEL GOOD THEATERS?
Today we have grown our hearts and minds to be 1,000 miles wide and a 1/8
of an inch deep.
IX. THERE IS A BETTER WAY...
1 Tim. 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a
good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
1 Tim. 1:19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away
concerning faith have made shipwreck:
A. We have the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IN 3 CLASSES:
1. INWARD: Love, joy, peace ...
2. OUTWARD: Longsuffering, gentleness, goodness ...
3. GODWARD: FAITHFULNESS, MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE ...
B. LET US READ THE MAIL... God has a plan and a purpose...
Know the WORD... DO THE WORD...
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your
own selves.
[23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man
beholding his natural face in a glass:
