This is part two, quick review of points 1 & 2.
I. QUE SERA SERA... WHATEVER WILL BE WILL BE... THE FUTURE IS NOT OURS TO SEE...
IT IS EASY TO DEVELOP A THEORY OF LIFE THAT THIS HAPPENED TO ME AND I HAD
NOTHING TO DO WITH IT...
A. QUE SERA SERA IS NOT FROM ANY REAL LANGUAGE, BUT WE SPEAK IT AS
A ROMANTIC LANGUAGE...

When I was just a little girl, I asked my mother, "What will I be?
Will I be pretty? Will I be rich?" Here's what she said to me:

When I was just a child in school, I asked my teacher, "What will I try?
Should I paint pictures" Should I sing songs?" This was her wise reply:

When I grew up and fell in love. I asked my sweetheart, "What lies ahead?
Will we have rainbows Day after day?" Here's what my sweetheart said:
"Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be; The future's not ours to see.

Now I have Children of my own. They ask their mother, "What will I be?"
Will I be handsome? Will I be rich?" I tell them tenderly:
"Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be; The future's not ours to see.

C. Language in title and lyrics The song became so popular throughout the world that speakers
of many languages adopted its title phrase, "Que será, será", into their speech, or at least came
to recognize it and understand its meaning separately from the music. In spite of the fact that the
phrase is not grammatical in any language, the song inspired a sense of ownership in many speakers
of different Romance languages, such that they came to feel that the phrase was an altered form of their
own respective native languages.

THIS JUST HAPPENED... MY DESIRES BECAME ADDICTIONS AND THEY TOOK OVER MY
BEHAVIOR... THIS IS A CURRENT THEORY OF LIVING...
A. Did you happen to see the news on August 1, 2013 from a court room in Cleveland, Ohio.
ARIEL CASTRO is 53 years old and drove a SCHOOL BUS, father of daughter and son.
B. AMANDA BERRY, GINA DEJESUS, MICHELLE KNIGHT... THREE IMPRISONED WOMEN
FOR 11 YEARS.
C. ARIEL CASTRO... was discussing HIS PERSONAL BEHAVIOR...
He said: I AM NOT A MONSTER... I WAS NOT VIOLENT.
I WAS NOT HAPPY.
I WENT TO CHURCH EVERY SUNDAY.
HE SPOKE OF SELF PITY AND BLAMED OTHERS FOR WHAT HE HAD BECOME.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBILE FOR WHAT I HAVE DONE.
I HAVE AN ADDICTION IT IS NOT MY FAULT.
I AM SICK, I AM A SICK MAN... LIKE AN ALCOHOLIC IS A SICK PERSON.
I AM SICK... I HAD NO INTENTIONS OF PREYING ON PEOPLE.
MOST OF THE STUFF THAT WENT ON IN THE HOUSE WAS CONSENSUAL...
CASTRO WENT ON TO SAY: I AM A VICTEM!
AS A CHILD HE HAD BEEN ABUSED, AND WAS PLAGUED WITH ANADDICTED TO
PORN... HE SAID: I LIVED A NORMAL LIFE.
CASTRO SAID: I AM MISUNDERSTOOD.
HE SAID: EVERYTHING WAS GOOD FOR ME, BUT I WAS PLAGUED BY AN ADDICTION
TO PORN.
CASTRO SAID: THERE WAS A LOT OF HARMONY IN THIS HOUSE.
CASTRO HAD TO SIGN OVER HIS PROPERTY AND HOUSE AS PART OF THE PLEA.
AS HE SIGN THE PAPERS TO DESTROY HIS HOME,
HE WAS SAD AND SAID: THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF HAPPY TIMES THERE.
I BELIEVE I "MAY HAVE BEEN ADDICTED TO PORN"....
I NEVER HAVE HAD ANY RECORD. I HAD A GOOD HISTORY OF WORKING AND
PROVIDING. THE ADDICTION TOOK ME OVER...
THE LAWYERS SAID CASTRO WAS A VERY GOOD LIAR.
HE USED RUSTY CHAINS AND FEED THEM VERY LITTLE.
THE PLEA WAS LIFE IN PRISON PLUS 1,000 YEARS.
III. SYRIA WAS A PROBLEM THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DEALT WITH IN
MOSES AND JOSHUA'S TIME... DID NOT DESTROY...
THERE MUST BE MORE THAN WHAT WILL BE WILL BE...
I AM NOT A PRISONER OF THE WIND... MY ATTITUDES, MY TRUSTING GOD
CAN MAKE ME A VICTOR... MORE THAN A CONQUERER...
2 Kings 13:14 Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel
came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel,
and the horsemen thereof.
A. Today's Bible lesson is about 2 characters...
1. ELISHA one of the Bible's greatest prophets.
2. JOASH, THE NEW KID ON THE BLOCK. Joash was the new king of Israel.
B. JOASH CAN STRENGHTEN HIS POWER AND RULE BY CONNECTING WITH THE
OLD MAN OF GOD.
C. Joash is not real interested in the OLD MAN OF GOD... attitude???

V. WILL THE KING BE SATISFIED WITH WHAT WILL BE?
JOASH HAS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY BEFORE HIM... TOTAL VICTORY IS POSSIBLE...
LISTEN TO THE PREACHER FOR TOTAL VICTORY...
A. KING JOASH CAN STRENGTHEN HIS KINGDOM AND HIS RULE... JUST LISTEN AND DO...
2 Kings 13:15 And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows.
B. FOR MANY YEARS ISRAEL HAS HAD A TERRIBLE TIME WITH ONE OF HER
ENEMIES... SYRIA IS A THORN TO ISRAEL'S VICTORY...
C. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A TOTAL VICTORY, SYRIA GETS DEFEATED...
THEN SYRIA RETURNS TO HAUNT ISRAEL...
D. DO WHAT THE PREACHER SAYS...
V. JOASH COME INTO THE POWER OF AGREEMENT WITH ME...
WHAT ARE YOU BUILDING... OR IS THIS QUE SERA SERA?
2 Kings 13:16 And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his
hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king's hands.
A. THE IS A WONDERFUL THING WHEN WE TOUCH AND AGREE TOGETHER...
B. Any two or three agreeing...
VI. WHAT WILL BE WILL BE HAS DAMNED MANY PEOPLE TO A PARTIAL VICTORY.
MORE THAN IT APPEARS? DELIVERANCE IS OFTEN HIDDEN...
JOASH STANDS WITH THE BOW AND ARROW IN HIS HAND...
HE MUST FEEL PRETTY STUPID IN THE PREACHER'S BED ROOM WITH A BOW/ARROW?
A. THERE ARE MANY SEEMINGLY STUPID MENIAL CHORES THAT ARE REALLY MUCH
MORE THAN WHAT THEY APPEAR TO THE EYES...
B. OPEN THE WINDOW... SO WHAT?
2 Kings 13:17 And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot.
And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the Lord's deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from
Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.
C. NOW, THE WINDOW IS OPEN TOWARD SYRIA, SHOOT THE ARROW...
D. JOASH CAN NOT SEE THAT DELIVERANCE IS AVAILABLE...
WE ACCEPT THE THORN AS A WAY OF LIFE.
VII. IS LIFE QUE SERA SERA... ???
THERE IS A TIME WHERE THE RUBBER MUST MEET THE ROAD...
MY ATTITUDES AND MY ACTIONS IN AGREEMENT?
A. HALF HEARTEDNESS KILLS TOTAL VICTORY...
B. WHERE IS THE JOY AND THE ZEAL...
2 Kings 13:18 And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of
Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.
VII. JOASH YOU MISSED IT... KING YOU BLEW THE OPPORTUNITY THAT GOD
WAS GIVING... QUE SERA SERA... WHAT WILL BE WILL BE?
2 Kings 13:19 And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten
five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou
shalt smite Syria but thrice.
IX. WE LIVE IN A DAY THAT BAD ATTITUDES (B. A.) IS ACCEPTED AND IF WE ARE NOT
CAREFUL B. A.'S CAN BECOME AN ACCEPTABLE NORM.

A. It is easy to fall into a trap and make the ruts so deep it is hard to accept.
B. Any one can fall in love... BUT TO STAY IN LOVE IS A CHORE...
C. CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE... prisoners of the wind?
On January 13, 1997 STEVE FOSSETT CLIMBED INTO A COCKPIT OF A HOT AIR BALLOON
in St. Louis, Missouri. Steve wanted to become the FIRST HOT AIR BALLOONIST to fly around the
world. Steve was flying at 25,000 feet and was doing well.
There was one nation: LIBYA THAT REFUSED TO ALLOW STEVE TO USE THEIR AIR SCAPE...
You know it?
The winds WERE HEADING STEVE RIGHT OVER LIBYIAN AIR SPACE.
The world expected LIBYA to fire a missile and destroy STEVE.
Steve knew sometimes you could drop your ALTITUDE AND FIND A CROSS WIND.
D. Steve dropped his hot air balloon to 6,300 FEET looking to catch a different wind.
Steve keep pulling up and AT ABOUT 10,000 FEET HE CAUGHT AN EASTERLY WIND
AND HE FLEW AROUND THE NATION OF LIBYA.
E. STEVE FOSSETT DID NOT REACH HIS GOAL BUT HE SET NEW WORLD RECORDS...
1. He flew 10, 360 miles when he landed in India.
2. He flew 6 days, 2 hours and 44 minutes.
F. BY CHANGING HIS ALTITUDE STEVE CHANGED HIS DIRECTION.
HE WAS A PRISONER OF THE WIND... THE CIRCUMSTANCES?
SURE, CAN NOT NOT CONTROL THE WINDS... YOU ARE A PRISONER OF THE WINDS
BUT YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR ALTITUDE AND ATTITUDES AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE...
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A PRISONER TRAPPED IN WHATEVER?
X. WHAT CAN I DO WHEN THE WINDS ARE CONTRARY?
I CAN NOT CONTROL THE WIND BUT I CAN CHANGE MY SAILS...
Mark 6:48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the
fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed
by them.
A. Once before the air craft and flight, much of world travel was by ship.
Once a famous preacher was traveling by ship around the CAPE OF SOUTH AFRICA.
At that time in Africa there were many CANIBALISTIC AREAS OF AFRICA.
IT WAS CLEAR TO THE THE CAPTAIN THE WINDS WERE CRAZY AND DRIVING
THE SHIP TO DOOM AND THE CANABALS A FREE MEAL.
B. IN GREAT CONCERN THE CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP WENT TO THE FAMOUS PREACHER'S
ROOM AND BEGGED HIM TO PRAY FOR THE WINDS TO CHANGE...
THE PREACHER SAID: IF YOU WILL CHANGE THE SAILS, I WILL PRAY.
HE ADDED: THERE IS NO REASON TO SAIL UNLESS YOU CHANGE THE SAILS...
C. IF YOU CAN NOT CHANGE THE WINDS, ROW... ROW... ROW... YOUR BOAT.
CONCLUSION: IS LIFE'S CIRCUMSTANCES DRIVING YOU?
To this day Israel is having trouble with SYRIA... THING WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN...
SET YOUR SAILS... KEEP A TOTAL VICTORY ATTITUDE.
