CHRONIC FRUSTRATION

I. DO WE UNDERSTAND THE WORK OF PROPAGANDA?
15 LONG YEARS ON NEGATIVE HINDERANCES BY PROFESSIONAL...
CAN WE SEE THE ENEMY'S AGENDA...
A. FRUSTRATION:
TO BE DISCOURAGED, ANGRY, OR UPSET...
BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO SOMETHING,
To block or hinder, DEFEATED IN AN ENDEAVOR, To make in-effectual,
A feeling of anger or annoyance by being unable to do something,
To prevent success,
A deep chronic sense or state of insecurity and dissatisfaction,
Unresolved problems, AGGRAVATION,
Ezra 4:5 (KJV) And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the
days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.
B. MANY OF US NEEDED NO HIRED HELP TO FRUSTRATE US...
WE ARE HABITUALLY ---GENERATIONALLY FRUSTRATED...
Ezra 4:5 (NLT) They bribed agents to work against them and to frustrate their plans.
This went on during the entire reign of King Cyrus of Persia and lasted until King Darius
of Persia took the throne.
C. DO WE UNDERSTAND THE DANGER OF A LEACH OR A TAPWORM ---
CONSTANTLY SAPPING OUR POWER, HOPE, PEACE...
Ezra 4:5 (MSG) They even hired propagandists to sap their resolve. They kept this up for
about fifteen years, throughout the lifetime of Cyrus king of Persia and on into the reign
of Darius king of Persia.
II. FRUSTRATION IS ONE ISSUE...
IT IS COMPLICATED BY HABITUAL AND CHRONIC ISSUES...
1 Samuel 17:16 And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.
A. CHRONIC:
CONTINUING OR OCCURING AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN,
Happening or occurring frequently or most of the time,
A mark of long duration, suffering encountered --- To weaken, To VEX, to trouble.
B. GOLIATH wore down the children of Israel not by one message ---
But by The negative message 2X'S a day...
RUNNING TO THE TENT IN FEAR AND CRYING ALL NIGHT...
2X'S A DAY FOR 40 DAYS...
C. GOD HAS TO BRING IN A SET OF EARS THAT HAD NOT HEARD AND BECAME
DESENSITIZED TO A SOLUTION... ENLARGE THE PROBLEM...
MAKE THE GIANT BIGGER.
D. GOD HAS PREPARED ME, I CAN HANDLE THIS:
1. FOUGHT A BEAR
2. FOUGHT A LION ========= I AM A WINNER...
III. WANT TO DISCUSS WEAK AND DESENITIZED FROM FRUSTRATION...
LONG TERM ILLINESS...
A. Have you ever became frustrated, the doctor can seem to hear you?
B. Now the Doctor accept insurance, Medicare and CASH! ???
It is ALL GONE---
C. 12 YEARS FULL OF HOPE?
DO I STILL EXERCISE CONFIDENCE?
Ever feel like you are hitting your head on a METAL COATED CONCRETE WALL?
Mark 5:25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had,
and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
D. 12 YEARS OF DOCTORS PAYMENTS...
12 years loosing blood: PHYSICALLY WEAK...
12 YEARS DEFILED, NOT IN CHURCH --- SPIRITUAL WEAK...
Mark 5:25 (NLT) A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding.
26 She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent
everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse.
27 She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched
his robe.
IV. NOT EVEN A MINNOW?
WANT TO HEAR FRUSTRATION? I HAVE TOILED ALL NIGHT---
LOOK ALL WE HAVE ARE EMPTY NETS? EMPTY NETS?
NOTHING...
A. YOU ARE A CARPENTER!
LEAVE THE FISHING TO ME?
Luke 5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have
taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
B. NOT EVEN A MINNOW...
Luke 5:5 (MSG) Simon said, "Master, we've been fishing hard all night and haven't caught even
a minnow. But if you say so, I'll let out the nets."
C. NEVER-THE-LESS AT YOUR WORD...
V. WHAT DO YOU WANT?
PEOPLE TRY TO BYPASS GOD... JUST WAITING?
I AM FRUSTRATED WAITING...
HAS LIFE TAUGHT US TO DEFINE FRUSTRATION FAR BEYOND THE WORDS
OF A DICTIONARY... I HAVE TRIED TO FIX THIS PROBLEM ---
SOMEONE ELSE GETS MY BLESSING...
A. IT IS NOT MY FAULT...
I DO NOT HAVE ANYONE...
B. JESUS KNEW THIS WAS A CHRONIC FRUSTRATION CASE....
John 5:2-9 (KJV) Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called
in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the
moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water:
whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever
disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith
unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me
into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same
day was the sabbath.
C. SOMEONE ELSE BEATS ME TO MY BLESSING...
John 5:6 (KJV) When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in
that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
D. WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Do you want to GET WELL?
John 5:6 (MSG) When Jesus saw him stretched out by the pool and knew how long he
had been there, he said, "Do you want to get well?"
E. JESUS IS THE ANSWER...
VI. CHRONIC FRUSTRATION CAN TAKE MANY FORMS... LIFE CAN BE FULL OF
BITTER POISON...
A. GALL is a product of the LIVER/gall bladder... very bitter...
a poison...
B. A BITTER CUP OF AGONY GIVEN TO JESUS TO CLOUD HIS MIND...
Acts 8:23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
Hebrews 12:15 (KJV) Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any
root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
VII. CHRONIC FRUSTRATION
Have you heard the story of a majestic eagle that lived in the safety of the high cliffs,
and often flew to great lofty heights. He could dive at great speeds.
HE OFTEN FELT HE WAS INVINCABLE, NOTHING COULD TAKE HIM DOWN.
A hunter studied the eagle day after day, and prepared himself for the hunt.
The man was very patient and waited for just the right moment.
One day the hunter stepped out of the snare, he had the perfect opportunity,
he drew back his bow and shot the beautiful, strong eagle and his arrow buried
in the eagles chest.
The eagle fell to the ground, he realized he was morality shot.
To his dismay, when he raised his head, he saw the tip of the arrow's shaft.
There glued to the straight shaft was the eagle's own feathers...
HIS FEATHERS HAD GUIDED THE ARROW THAT WAS SNUFFING OUT HIS LIFE...
How sad he thought he was invincible and his OWN FEATHERS HELPED
BRING HIM DOWN...
CHRONIC FRUSTRATION WILL BRING DOWN THE INVINCIBLE---
OUR ENEMY HAS NO EFFECTIVE METHOD OR WEAPON OF DESTROYING
YOU --- UNLESS YOU GIVE HIM THE AMMUNITION...
VIII. THIS CHRONIC FRUSTRATION HAS A SOLUTION---
LET US SEARCH FOR A DIAGNOSIS? Identify the real problem...
SEARCH FOR THE PROGNOSIS...??? Recovery process...
WE CAN OVERCOME... what do you desire?
