“Worry implies that we don’t quite trust that God is big enough, powerful enough, or loving enough to take care of what’s happening in our lives.”
Proverbs 12:25 (AV) — 25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
- Fear is poisonous.
- Especially when it drives our decisions
- This will slowly destroy us
- If we make moves that are against God’s will
- The antidote to fear is complete reliance on God, and His work through the Spirit
Paul's Troubles
2 Corinthians 1:8–9 (AV) — 8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant (uninformed) of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength (We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure), insomuch that we despaired even of life: 9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves (we felt we had received the sentence of death), that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

- With faith we are freed from the flimsy enclosures of life that fear allows to entrap us.
