Proverbs 4:18-19~ THE PATH OF THE JUST-- THE WAY OF THE WICKED~ 10-19-13
Today Lord willing we're going to talk for a few minutes on the two types of people that are in the world, there are many different nationality's of people, but out of all the different nationalities of people there are really only two types,
And they are the saved and the people that are not saved, there's the saved and there is the lost.
God is not partial to any certain nationality when it comes to saving people, Jesus Christ died for all people, every person in the world has had their sin debt paid for by Jesus as He died on the cross, but the majority of mankind will not receive Him as their Savior, so the majority will die in their sin.

19The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

Many people have the idea that if they live a good clean moral life that some how God will allow that a place in heaven.
>Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
~ We see in this verse that it says "ways" meaning plural.
Notice, this verse says in a nut shell, "some folks seem to think that their way is the right way, but just because it might seem to be the right way, does not make it so, if people are to be saved they'll have to be saved the bible way.
* Jesus said in;
>John 7: 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
~ John 14: 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
~ We see here that Jesus declared that, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
~ That is what the SAVIOUR said, are we going to believe what He said or not? -- only He and He only saves sinners, that was is mission when He come into the world, Jesus didn't come to work miracles, He didn't come to raise the dead although He did both, He came to save sinners.

>Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
~ He come the first time to be the Savior of the world, but when He comes back the next time He'll be coming as Judge.
~ So once again, there are only two classes of people, the saved and the lost, those that believe in the Lord Jesus, and those that don't believe in Him.
~ The only way a person can be a child of God is by believing in and placing our faith in Him.
> Gal. 3: 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
~ But the sad fact is most are not going to believe in Him.

~ Jesus told the Jews in;
>John 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
>Acts 28:24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
~ It has always been that way and it will continue to be that way.

19The way of the wicked ---

~ The Righteous are in the minority; and the Wicked are in the majority.
Just because it appears that most people seem to be unconcerned about their eternal destiny does not mean that it must be alright.
~The Lord Jesus spoke of the broad and the narrow ways.
>Matt. 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

~ Throughout the history of the world it's been that way, the majority of people choose the direction the world is going, and it's not going to change.

I remember back when I was about 14 or 15 years old, Mister Luther Gilstrap would get me to help him plow his crops, we went too the barn to get the mules, he had a white mule and a black mule, they were in the pasture, mister Gilstrap told me that we would drive the white mule into the barn and the black one would follow it, and sure enough that's what happened.
I've said all that to say this, the black mule would follow the white one no matter what, he didn't know that in doing so he'd have to plow in the field till almost dark.

~ The people in Noah's day must have thought that Noah and his family must have lost their mind, here they were building an ark, this Hugh boat, and it never had rained a drop.
>Gen. 2:5-- the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, --
> 1st. Peter 3:20 -- the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
~ Only eight were saved, the majority drown in the flood.
They worked building the ark 120 years -- 3 x 40, 40 the number of judgment--the people saw it every day, they grew tired of hearing about the ark, they were like the majority of people today, the warning has been proclaimed for over 2000 years, judgment is coming, repent, be saved, but most folks are not interested, the same was true in Noah's day, but guess what, one day after Noah had all the animals in side the ark, God told Noah and his family to come inside, showing that God was already inside the ark, then God shut the door of the ark and soon it started raining, no one could get out or in the ark.

>Gen.7:1And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
>Gen. 7:16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.
~ And that is the way it will be when Jesus calls His True church out of here, no one else will be added to the True church. -- God knows the very number that will make up the Lords church, He's God.
>Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

~The same was true in the case of wicked Sodom when only a few escaped God's judgment. -- Lot and his two daughters were all that escaped.
>Gen.19:23-25 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
25And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

* Jesus said in;
>Matt.20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
Many have heard the gospel but few receive it and are saved.

~ What Jesus meant by "the last shall be first, and the first last" was, there would be people saved late in their lives, and have not worked for Jesus as long as others, but because of their faithfulness in what they did for Him they would be counted among the first in His Kingdom.

~ The reason saved people are in the light is because we have believed in and put our faith in Jesus, who is the LIGHT.
> John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
> Colossians 1:12-13 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13Who hath deliver-ed us from the power of darkness,
* The lost sinner is in spiritual darkness, he can't see the ways of God.
>2nd Cor.4:3-4 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4In whom the god of this world *(age) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
~What does that mean?
~ It means that the devil has been busy in the affairs of the lost in such a way that their not even aware of it, he's keeping people entertained with the filth on the air ways. -- Satan don't care how much religion people have, just don't be saved.
~~ lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them, -- Satan's goal is to damn as many souls to hell as he can, he knows if they can't hear or understand the things of God, that hell is where they'll go, and finally too the lake of fire.
~ Satan is also busy in any and all world governments as well, that's obvious as we look to what kind of ungodly leadership is over our country, but let me remind us that it was ignorant people that voted them in office to start with, with promises of hand outs.
~ We have a Muslim sitting in the white house that is tearing this nation too pieces, you can not name one single thing that Obama has done for the betterment of our country, he has appointed over 100 homosexuals to important government positions. -- He has made the month of June too be HOMOSEXUAL month. -- He said that he was going to change this country and he has. -- I don't see how this nation can survive the remainder of his time.
~~ LISTEN, God can not bless our nation because of all the ungodliness that has taken over, and it's going to get worse.
>Psalm 9: 17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
>Psalm 50: 22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
>Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

~ Every person on earth is traveling one of these two ways, the path of the just, or the way of the wicked.
~ Every person listening to this broadcast is traveling on one of these by-ways.
~On which road are you traveling? -- The road that has a glorious prospect, or the road that has a terrible prospect?

> Prov.4:18-- the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
~ The longer the just are on this path too glory the light becomes brighter and brighter, it's because as we become more grounded in the things of God, we see and understand God's word better with each passing day, we have not allowed Satan to blind us too the things of God, we are aware of his devices, as we journey on in this Christian walk we become more spiritually mature, and when our Christian life comes to the end we will finally arrive at "the perfect day".
~ What is this "perfect day"?
>John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
~ To be with Jesus is the goal that every saved person longs for.

~But for the lost, they continue on in their journey of darkness, called "wicked" in our text, and they'll forever be in darkness.
>Matt. 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

~The reason saved people are referred to as "the just" is because we have been JUSTFIED, now that we're saved we're as JUST as Jesus is in the eyes of God the Father, now when God looks on His children He sees nothing that will condemn them.
>Rom. 8:1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, --
~We've been justified by the JUSTFIER.
> 1 Peter 3: 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
>Rom. 5: 1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: --
>2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
