15 ~Blood of Christ~ BIBLE DOCTRINE 10-20-12
Today we'll continue with our study to do with Bible Doctrine, and our thought will be about the "BLOOD OF CHRIST."
We have already talked some about the doctrine of Atonement, and that certainly is though His Blood, but I want to bring to our attention the importance and the power that only His Blood has.

Blood was recognized in and outside the Bible as the seat of physical life, that's what we read in -
>>Leviticus 17: 11For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Listen; Lev.17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood:--
Also in;
>> Gen 9:4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, --

With this O.T. meaning in mind let us realize that all the O.T. sacrifices was laying the ground work for the True Sacrifice that was yet too come, The Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus Christ that was to give His life a ransom for all sinners, he died for all, but all sinners will not receive Him, but many will.
>> 1 Timothy 2: 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, --
>> Matthew 20: 28 -- and to give his life a ransom for many.
>>Mark 10:45 -- and to give his life a ransom for many.
(Remember, life is in the Blood)

The population of the world is said to be about 7.045 billion by the United States Census Bureau, and the biggest part of that number do not believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savoir, although most of these do have some form of religion, but there's a big difference in religion and Salvation.
And even some the world over that claims to be Christians are not.
Many want nothing to do with this bloody religion; there are even some church song books that have no mention of Blood.
* The Blood of Jesus Christ is the key to our salvation, to refuse to recognize His Blood is a sure ticket too hell, His Blood and His Life are synonymous; they are in separable as far as our salvation is concerned.

* In the Bible blood stand as an expression for life, listen as I read the account of the time that Jonathan declared to his father Saul that David was innocent.
>>1 Samuel 19:4-5 4And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good: 5For he did put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great salvation for all Israel: thou sawest it, and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David
We see here that to sin against innocent blood is identical to taking an innocent man's life. -- We're reading these to show us that in the Bible "life and blood" means the same.

>> Psalm 94:21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
* Notice, they condemn the righteous to death.
>> Ezek. 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
* So again we see that blood is the same as life in the O.T.
* And it's the same in the N.T. as well.

>> Matt. 27:24 Pilate said;
24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
To sin against innocent blood in this passage is identical to taking an innocent man's life.

>> Luke 11: 50-51 Jesus said -- That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; 51From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

* When Judas saw that Jesus had been captured, he repented of his betrayal and brought back the money, saying,
>>Matt. 27: 4 -- I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood.
== meaning an innocent life.

>> Matt. 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
* Notice, Jesus said, -- and to give his life a ransom

* Paul tells us this in;
>> Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, --

* Peter says this in;
>> I Peter 1:18 -- 19 18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Peter points out that Jesus was as a Lamb, a Sacrificial Lamb.
We read here that we have redemption through his blood.

But back up in Matt. 20:28 that we just read it says,
to give his life a ransom for many.
* So we're told in one place it's by His life, in the other it's by His blood, so it's evident that the one means exactly the same as the other.
The blood of Jesus means the same as His life which was sacrificed in death.

In the Old Testament the atonement primarily was meant as a "cleansing from sin," until next year, while in the New Testament "atonement" is understood as an act by which sinful man is placed in a right relation to God, the word "atonement" is found only one time in the N.T., Rom. 5:11. -- Meaning, "reconciliation".

Christ was in reality, The true High Priest and by the sacrifice of himself; He purifies sinners by his blood from all their sins, and will at the appointed time present them holy and righteous before God, without blemish or wrinkle.

>> Jude 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,--

* The Blood of Jesus is what saves every person that's ever been saved, from Adam unto the last one saved in the Tribulation. -- We're told about the great multitude that some how manage to make it through the tribulation alive.
>>Revelation 7: 13--14 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, (John) What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest.
And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
* Listen; as I read verses 15-17, these lived through the tribulation.
15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. -- They endured all of these things during the Tribulation.
This is not telling about the Church, it left this world back in chapter 4:1-2.

17For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, (NOT THE Church) and shall lead them **unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. **

* This slaughter house religion as some refer too it, is the only way we can be saved. -- As the old song goes;
[What can wash away my sin? -- Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again? -- Nothing but the blood of Jesus.]

The last day Laodicean Church of Rev. 3: is right now here on earth mingled with the True Church, they say they have need of nothing, Jesus said in that account that they are "poor, blind, and naked".
Their spiritually poor, their spiritual blind, and their naked, their without the righteousness of Jesus Christ, these will be spewed out when the True Church is called out, these may sing, "I'll meet you in the morning" but will they?
If the pretenders, "the Laodiceans" or any other religion deny the Blood of Jesus Christ their lost. --
Baptist that shun the Blood of Jesus Christ, are just as lost as any one can be, being a Baptist don't save any body, a person may be baptized so many times that his fingers and toes are completely wringed all out of shape, joining a Baptist church or any church won't save you.
[What can wash away my sin? -- Nothing but the blood of Jesus. ]

Listen dear heart, the devil don't mind you having religion, in fact he wants you to have religion, just don't get saved.

* Listen as I read you this account in Revelation 5: 7-9, this is the Church just after we've been caught out of the world, listen.
7-9 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. (Jehovah)
8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; --

We're plainly told here that the way we were redeemed is by His Blood.

* Let's be sure that we see and understand what this verse says, -- listen carefully once more as I read it again.
ƒÞ for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; --

This verse declares, that all people that will be present when this takes place, {it's just after the rapture} were REDEEMED BY JESUS BLOOD, that's what it says, so if any one goes too heaven it will be because of the Blood of Jesus, no other way or means. -- Religion will not save anyone, and this world is full of religions, religion minus the Blood of Christ means a religion that leads too hell.
