TAKING THE LIMITS OFF OF GOD
NUMBER 23:19
Many are not able to achieve success and greatness in all of life endeavors because of the
several barriers before them. People talk about breakthroughs showing that there are forces and
things limiting them, so they want the mighty power of God to break the limiting barriers before
them. The truth is that most of the barriers are manmade. They are invisible walls that we
through negative thoughts have built in our minds that limit and stop us from taking positive and
powerful steps that will bring success and accomplishments. Negative thoughts build barriers
that limit the thinker. You cannot go higher than your thoughts will permit you. You cannot be
greater than what you think and believe you can. Jesus taught that all things are possible to him
that believes that it is possible.
Mark 9:23
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. KJV
This shows that man is always limited by his thoughts. If a man will not believe a thing is
possible, it means he can’t do it or attain it. If you will not believe you will be healed, it doesn’t
matter who prays for you, you won’t be healed. If you don’t believe the money you are looking
for will come by God’s intervention, it won’t come. If you do not believe that the project you are
handling will be completed according to the original plan simply because there is a shortage of
funds, it will be as you think. If you do not believe you can come out of lack and poverty, you
will remain in that condition. If you do not believe you can be great though you came from a
poor family and no one in your family has ever made it to the top or attained greatness, you will
remain small, insignificant, poor, and a non-achiever. If you do not believe you can forgive the
one who has hurt you and move on with your life, you will continue to be tormented by the
experience. If you do not believe you can overcome depression and enjoy your life, you will
remain depressed all your life. If you do not believe that you will be promoted and continue to
climb the ladder of success, you will remain on that spot. The truth is that every man is limited
by his thoughts and beliefs. That is why is it is important that all have their minds renewed
through the words of God and believe what it says and teaches.
Your thoughts limit the resources that will be made available to you. Your thoughts limit the
grace of God in your life. Your thoughts limit what the anointing of God can do in your life no
matter who ministers to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Your thoughts limit what God
can do for you or with you. God responds to our thoughts and He judges us by what He finds us
thinking. Your thoughts prove faith or unbelief, and God responds only to faith. If your thoughts
are positive, God will definitely bless and keep His promises in your life.
Prov 23:7
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…KJV
Heb 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he
is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.KJV
CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE TO LIFE AND SITUATIONS
Attitude is the way a man thinks. It is a man’s mental disposition. Attitudes are formed based on
the interpretations we give to the things we see, hear, smell, taste and feel. A man’s attitude
determines his fate in life. Attitude is more important than facts whether the facts are in one’s
favor or not. The Winning attitude is the best any man, anywhere should adopt. To reach your
dream, you must climb a ladder on which there are four rungs. Mark them well. They are
Determination, Dedication, Discipline, and Attitude.
Attitude is more important than all other three qualities taken together, because attitude deals
with how a person thinks and believes. And before anyone can be determined, dedicated, and
disciplined, he must make a mental and spiritual commitment to the goal. He must continue to
think positively about it all the way to its attainment.
A positive attitude enables a man to break new and higher grounds and position himself where he
wants to be. A negative attitude makes one to rot in a place with the spirit of complaining and
despair rule.
Prov 23:7
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not
with thee.
KJV
Prov 27:19
19 For as in water face answers to face, so the mind of man reflects the man.
RSV
Joshua was encouraged by God to be positive and be filled with courage and get ready for
challenges that will come his way as he leads the people of Israel into the Promised Land. It
takes a courageous heart to face challenges and have victory without being shattered by it. You
can never win with a negative and defeatist mindset. You need a positive and winning attitude to
face challenges and win. Believe nothing is impossible with God and with one who believes, and
that you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. God spoke to Joshua this way to
prepare his mind and not to place limitation on his own path and make it difficult for God to
support him and give him victory and success.
Josh 1:1-9
1:1 After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, the LORD said to Joshua son of Nun,
Moses' aide: 2 "Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them-to the Israelites. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. 4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates-all the Hittite country-to the Great Sea on the west. 5 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with
Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. 6 "Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." NIV
You can change your condition too if you can break all mental barriers you have in you.
The negative mind concentrates and sees only:
1. One’s weaknesses
2. One's Lack of education
3. One's Previous mistakes
4. One's Present circumstances
5. One's Fear
A man with such a mentality can never accomplish greatness or break new grounds. A man with
negative mentality is a prisoner of his own thoughts and will always be limited by them except
he decides to change his mental disposition and become positive minded.
You need to break loose from negative mentality, and you will break forth into new experiences
that are richly rewarding.
You need to break loose from your negative mentality and you will shine like God meant you to shine.
Take off the limits now.
As long as you see with the eyes of God you will be what he wants you to be. Fill your mind
with positive words from the word of God. Accept what the Bible says of you. Believe you are
who God says you are. Believe you have what he says you have. Believe you can do what he
says you can do.
CONCLUSION
Be an optimist a person with a positive outlook on life.
Expect the best all the time.
When you meet with an obstacle, never believe you have come to a dead end. Always believe you will get out of every tight corner with God’s help. Do not limit yourself anymore through negative thinking. Focus on God and His promises and not on the negative circumstances that you find yourself in. No condition is permanent. After every night season, there will be daylight. You can be successful and great. Believe you can change your adverse circumstance to something better and exciting. Think and believe you can be anything you want to be, and you can change anything you don’t want in your life any more.
Never limit God in your life. Never limit yourself through negative thinking. Be always positive
in thoughts, words and actions. That is how life is supposed to be lived. Let your thoughts and
faith be in God and in who you are in Him. Do not allow inferiority complex or low self esteem
to have a hold on you. Have a proper understanding of who you are from the Bible. Carry
yourself the way God has described you and you will reign in life and not be limited any more.
Take off the limit and never limit yourself again for with God all things are possible. Don’t
forget that all things are possible only to those who believe it is possible. Live a limitless life in
Jesus Christ.
Remember what Numbers 23:19 (Quote It)
I End With These Four Assurances of God's Integrity
1. He cannot lie like man. Hebrews 6:17-19 (17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;)
a. Limitations of God.( He has some bounderies that confines His word.. elaborate.)
2. He cannot repent like man, that is, He does not change His promises under pressure, even when it is more convenient or advantageous. The repenting which God cannot do is that of changing His mind concerning promises made to the righteous. He will not and cannot fail to meet His obligations to them; He cannot say " no" to one and " yes" to another who claims His promises, if both are righteous and meet the terms of His covenants. He is not partial in His dealings with men; He treats all men alike.
3. What He says, He will do. He will fulfill His obligations in all covenant promises, whether to bless or curse. He is as zealous to fulfill His word one way as another.
God cannot allow any man to sin without cursing, or to obey without blessing.
4. What He has spoken, He will make good. This is the same as point 3, above, being doubly expressed to confirm God's faithfulness. Note that God emphasized this truth here, for Balak was hoping something would result in a curse on Israel. Balaam needed this message as well, for he had a secret longing for the reward should Israel be cursed. God told Balaam and Balak, and all men in general, that His callings, promises, and covenants with Israel had already gone out of His mouth, and that:
a. He would not lie.
b. He would not change His mind.
c.He would do it.
d. He would make it good.
e. He had given commandment to bless ( Num. 23: 20 say's Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.)
f. He had blessed and could not reverse it, because there was no iniquity in Jacob, or perverseness in Israel-- and He was their God.
( Num. 23: 21- 24 )
21 He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel:the Lord his God is with him,and the shout of a king is among them.
22 God brought them out of Egypt;he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
24 Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
I saw this Motivational Poster of a Penguin walking with his/her wings spread that had this quote on it: LIMITATIONS - Until you spread your wings, you'll have no idea how far you can walk. LOOK AT YOUR NEIGHBOR AND TELL THEM: YOU NEED TO TAKE THE LIMITATIONS OFF OF GOD!
