# 28~ FIFTY~ & 1776, the year of the Declaration of Independence~ 5-12-12
BIBLE NUMBER MEANINGS
FIFTY is the number connected with the Holy Spirit and His work. FIFTY is found in our KJ Bible 179 times.
The Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost which was FIFTY days after the resurrection of Christ.
In Leviticus 23:9 -11& 15-16 there is a beautiful and enlightening Picture of Christ and the coming of the Spirit FIFTY days after His resurrection.
9And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 10Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. -- This is a picture of the resurrection of Christ, which took place on the FIRST DAY of the week, or the morrow after the Sabbath.

Matthew 28:1-2 In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
5-6-- Then the angel said to the women, Fear not ye: for I know ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen.

I Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Therefore, the waving of the FIRSTFRUITS of the harvest on the day after (our Sunday) the Sabbath (Our Saturday) was a picture of the Resurrection of Christ.
Also in the passage in Leviticus 23:15 -16 we have the outpouring of the Holy Spirit typified.
15And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, (Sunday) from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths (49) shall be complete: 16Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath (that is, the FIRST day of the week, Sunday) shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
This point to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit Who came on Pentecost, FIFTY days after Christ arose from the dead.
There were FIFTY taches of gold connected with the linen curtains in the Tabernacle of the Old Testament.
There were TEN linen curtains, fastened together, FIVE in one group, and FIVE in another group.
These TWO groups of FIVE each were coupled together with the FIFTY taches, as we’re told in Exodus 26:1-6.
The taches came over the veil in Exodus 26:33. This represents the crucifixion of Christ. Hebrew 10:19-20 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; -- This connects the work of the Holy Spirit with the work of the Cross, and with the GRACE of God, represented with the number FIVE.
We’re told in Exodus 26:12-13 -- That the court of the Tabernacle was FIFTY cubits wide.
In the west end there were TEN pillars. Between these TEN pillars there were NINE spaces in the hanging that was FIFTY cubits long.
Listen, NINE represents the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT. The FRUIT of the SPIRIT (9) comes through the work of the HOLY SPIRIT (FIFTY), even as the NINE spaces are found in the curtain of FIFTY cubits length.

The number FIFTY is also connected with Israel’s return and restoration to their land which God gave them.
The FIFTIETH year was a year of Jubilee unto the people of Israel. It was a year when every man returned and repossessed any land that he may have had to sell because of debts. This way the land always remained within the tribe it was assigned to.
Leviticus 25:10 And ye shall hallow *(keep -- proclaim) the FIFTIETH year, and proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the land unto the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a JUBILEE unto you: and ye shall return every man to his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
The final and complete return of the Israelites unto their land is connected with their receiving the Holy Spirit.
Ezekiel 39:25-29 Therefore, thus saith the Lord God: Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the WHOLE house of Israel (all twelve tribes), and will be jealous for my holy name; after they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses against ME, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; then shall they (other nations) know that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their OWN LAND, and have left NONE of them ANY MORE there. Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have POURED OUT MY SPIRIT upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.
This teaches a return of the Israelites to their own land and will not leave any of them in the Gentile countries.
Here God speaks about a time when He will not leave any of them in any foreign land.
This will take the last living Jew out of the GENTILE countries and put them in their own land again. And they shall not ANY MORE be scattered among the Gentile countries.
This plainly teaches us that, as long as one Jew still walks the streets of Gentile countries that prophecy is yet to be fulfilled. So this is to happen in the future.
Then the Lord will pour out His Holy Spirit upon them when they shall have all been regathered.
The 28th verse says, -- but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
* As of 2008, the population of Jews in New York (as stated on Wikipedia) has 2,051,000 living in New York, notice that was several years ago, only Tel-Aviv Israel has more, but there’s coming a day when there’ll be none there for they’ll have all gone back too Israel.

The FIFTIETH year, a year of JUBILEE, when every man returned to his possession, was a picture of the time when all Israel will have returned to their possessions: the land God gave to that people. And the Holy SPIRIT (FIFTY) will be poured out upon them. For Israel that will be a time of JUBILEE of GREAT JOY.
Isaiah 35:10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion (their promised land) with songs and everlasting joy (Jubilee) upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
This teaching of the HOLY SPIRIT is revealed again in Numbers 4: Read the 3rd, 23rd, 30th, 35th, 39th, and 43rd verses in Numbers 4:

The work age of the priest to serve in the Tabernacle was between the ages of THIRTY and FIFTY. Some of the priests were to administer at the altar the blood sacrifice for the REDEMPTION of sins.
TWENTY is the number for REDEMPTION. THIRTY is the number of the BLOOD OF CHRIST which was typified in the altar sacrifices and which was to be offered by the Priest. FIFTY - points to the HOLY SPIRIT which comes as the result of the BLOOD OF CHRIST being offered upon the altar.
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you * (profitable for you) that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Jesus said the HOLY SPIRIT could not come until He returned to the Father and there to act as our mediator or HIGH PRIEST, and as He placed HIS BLOOD (30) on the altar for the atonement (20) for our sins, then the HOLY SPIRIT (50) would come to bring COM-FORT & REST (15) to the hearts of the believers in Christ, therefore on the FIFTIETH day the Holy Spirit came to take up His office work during these days of GRACE.

THE NUMBER 1776, the year of the Declaration of Independence
I want to pass this along to you, I’ve had this information for quite some time, so I don’t remember where I got it or how I come into possession of it, but it is certainly interesting, and since we’ve been talking about Bible number meanings I thought you might find this interesting as well although it has nothing to do with the Bible.
In our study of "Bible number meanings" we have learned that certain numbers and often names as well, acquire significance because of what they represent.
For instance; "ISRAEL" means, (the prince that prevails with God) -- "DANIEL" means, (judgment of God) --- "JESUS" means, (saviour). So most names, especially Bible names have a particular meaning.
Listen; the number 1776 is such a number, as we point out several different other numbers that are linked to this number, "1776" I want us to realize how they all are tied to the year of our independence.
In the number "1776" we can plainly see THREE SEVENS.
1-7-7-6, by adding the first number, 1 & the last number 6 together, then we have 7- 7- 7.
1776 is the year of the Declaration of Independence, a memorable event to every patriotic American and we celebrate it every year.
So those who are interested in Numerics as well as in history might try and think of a reason that the year was 1776 and not 1775 or 1777 or any other year, listen, was this just a coincidence that our independence was this particular year,1776? -- consider this, no other year could have mathematically worked the way 1776 does as we get into these facts.
* Listen closely as I go through several different numbers, and think on their connection with the year 1776.
The number 1776 has two 7’s in it. But by adding ** the first and the last figures together (1 + 6) the result is a third 7. 777.
LISTEN, when we subtract ** 777 from 1776 we find the remainder is 999. When we think about these numbers, "777 and 999" in connection with 1776, they seem to look mysterious and significant.
* As we ponder over the number 1776 we find that it is the multiply ** of 4 x 444 = 1776.
Therefore 444, 777, 999 are all concealed in the number 1776 -- Independence Day is the 4th of July, notice, the 4th, July is also the 7th month.
This accounts for the 4. -- LISTEN, 4 is made up of the numbers 1 + 3.
Now we notice that THE NUMBER 1 AND THE NUMBER 3 are the numbers that compose 13, therefore 13 is linked to the number 1776, the year of our independence. -- So each of the 4’s in 4 x 444 = 1776 may be regarded as a cryptic reminder of the 13 colony-states (1&3) that ratified the Declaration.
* Listen, the reverse of 13 is 31.
The Declaration was signed in July, which has 31 days.
When the number 444 is subtracted** from 1776, the remainder is 1332 ** from which 333 can be formed just as 777 is formed from 1776. **
These (three) 3’s in the number "333" and also the other 3 identical numbers that we have mentioned, 999, 777, 444, as we consider all of these THREES they all serve to remind us that because of the monarch yonder in England, whose misrule was actually the reason for the Declaration of our independence, he was King George the (Third).
As we think on all these different numbers and how they are connected to the year of our independence, 1776, we must say that 1776 is truly a remarkable number,
