A Mother Influence Proverbs 31:10-31aTM
A true mother is never me centered, she doesn’t have time. A mother’s time usually belongs unto her children and or her husband. To all the mother’s who read for hours to their children, change dirty-dippers, vacuum, wash, prepare meals, pick up kids from school, watch their practices Etc. Thank you!
Chuck Swindoll once said, “As significant as political, military, educational or religious figures may be, none compare to the impact made by mothers. Their words are never fully forgotten, their touch leaves indelible impression...the memory of their presence lasts a lifetime. “I ask you, who else has that kind of influence?”
A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds. Her husband trusts her without reserve, and never has reason to regret it. Never spiteful, she treats him generously all her life long. She shops around for the best yarns and cottons, and enjoys knitting and sewing. She's like a trading ship that sails to faraway places and brings back exotic surprises. She's up before dawn, preparing breakfast for her family and organizing her day. She looks over a field and buys it, then, with money she's put aside, plants a garden. First thing in the morning, she dresses for work, rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started. She senses the worth of her work, is in no hurry to call it quits for the day. She's skilled in the crafts of home and hearth, diligent in homemaking. She's quick to assist anyone in need, reaches out to help the poor. She doesn't worry about her family when it snows;their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear. She makes her own clothing, and dresses in colorful linens and silks. Her husband is greatly respected when he deliberates with the city fathers. She designs gowns and sells them, brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops. Her clothes are well-made and elegant, and she always faces tomorrow with a smile. When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say, and she always says it kindly. She keeps an eye on everyone in her household, and keeps them all busy and productive. Her children respect and bless her; her husband joins in with words of praise:"Many women have done wonderful things, but you've outclassed them all!" Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades. The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God. (Proverbs 31:10-30TM)
This poem offers a beautiful description of the excellent wife as defined by a wife and mother. In these verses you read of a woman with spiritual and practical wisdom plus moral virtues marked by the character of this woman in contrast to the immoral woman of verse 3, do not waste your strength on women,on those who ruin kings.
Although these were customs from the middle Eastern women, this type of charter comes from every woman of influence.
“Many mother’s, grandmothers, and wives who mother their husbands, don’t feel qualified to be this Proverbs 31 mother, but I say along with every man in here, yes you are!”
* Let me give you a few reason’s I have knowledge of this fact.
Just ask your husband.
Husband’s, what’s the value of your wife? Far above jewels.
Ephesians 5:25NLT For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her
She might not knit but she goes to the local store to buy nice looking clothes.
“I’ve never seen a lady come home, and say- Hey children, or hey honey look at the ugly clothes I picked out for you.”
She’s always cooking, or trying to prepare you meals- from morning to night.
When is the last time you said to her, “Honey or mom, you go sit down and I’ll do the dishes.”
Verse 26-27...she always faces tomorrow with a smile. When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say, and she always says it kindly.
Did you know you speak over nine million words a year, and more than half of them are- I...me...my...and mine?
In 1 Corinthians 15:31NCV Paul writes, “I die every die.” God’s response calls for dying to self. (Mother’s do that.)
Verse 28, She keeps an eye on everyone in her household, and keeps them all busy and productive.
“Do you have knowledge that your mother or wife has eyes all around her body, watching out for everyone!”
Verse 29, Her children respect and bless her; her husband joins in with words of praise:"Many women have done wonderful things, but you've outclassed them all!"
Every mother and wife please stand. “You might not realize it, but we adore you; you out class them all!” Say, “I’m classy.”
The avg. mom gets 3 1/2 hours of quality time alone, her payment for her work is 47,000 a year, 71 hours of housework, 73 percent of children praise their mother for her work and love. www.mothersforum.org/womens-issue/whats-the-value-of-a-mother/
Verse 30-31, Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades. The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God.
“How many wives, women and mother’s in here are born again?” Look around men. They are to be admired and praised!
Benediction.
