# 9~SIX pt.2 BIBLE NUMBER MEANINGS 12-3-11
Today we’ll continue to talk about the number six Lord be willing.
SIX shows the WEAKNESS OF MAN and also the EVILS OF SATAN. This is true all through the Word of God.
SIX is mentioned 331times in our KJ Bible.
Man was created on the SIXTH day. – 666 is the number of the man, antichrist.
Rev.13:16-18 are telling about the false prophet causing the earth dwellers that will be left behind after the rapture - And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 * (bondage) Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

The Hebrew slave was to serve SIX years. --- For SIX years the land was to be sown and worked then to rest during the seventh year, the Sabbatical year.
There is no record of the Sabbatical year and the year of Jubilee ever being kept.
Not only did God promise blessing if His Word was obeyed, but He warned of judgment if it was not. If they walked contrary to Him, He would walk contrary to them.
Lev. 26:33- 35 tells what would happen if the Israelites did not let the land keep the Sabbaths. — That is, lay out with out tending this ground every seventh year; they were to let it rest. The people were to work six days and rest the seventh, the Sabbath day, their day of worship.—moreover the land was also to rest the seventh day.
Leviticus 26: 33-35 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. 34Then shall the land enjoy her Sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her Sabbaths. 35As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your Sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
LISTEN--For approximately 490 years the sabbatical year was not kept—that is seventy Sabbaths had been neglected. Therefore God said through Jeremiah that for seventy years they will live in a strange country (Babylon) while their land has its rest.
Then after the last sabbatical years have been made up, Israel will be permitted to return to the land.
I want us to notice, God don’t always pay off on Friday afternoon, but He always pays off.
Jer. 25:11-12 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. 12And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity,---and may I say, Israel’s worst days are yet ahead in the Tribulation, as well as the land that is called Babylon.
Also in Jer.29:10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
Dan 9:2 also tells the actual desolation is said to be seventy years, the land was to have rested one year in every seven.
When God is dealing with the nation of Israel, He deals with the calendar. He spells out time in relation to their history. When God deals with the church, He does not give any dates or times. Therefore you and I are not able to say when the Lord Jesus is coming, but we can plainly see the end time signs with us and therefore we don’t believe it is very far away.
We read in;
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Listen, the very fact that Jesus said the Father only knows the day and hour tells us without any doubt that He has a certain day and hour set, also realize that because He is God He knows exactly how many people that will be in the Lord Jesus True church and it surely must be nearing completion, I am of the opinion that when that certain number is met that will be the time that the Church will be caught away.
Listen, the church age, this grace dispensation, begin on the day of Pentecost, over 2000 years ago, it’s now 2011, the next dispensation is the dispensation of the Kingdom, man has been on this earth for over 6000 years, that means the next 1000 years will be the 1000 year reign of King Jesus on this earth, seven is the number of “perfection and completion”
After He reigns the 1000 years this earth will be destroyed with fervent fire, heat and then He will make all things new. The number of new beginning is EIGHT.
God is a God of order; He is not the Author of confusion.
Since I’ve said all that let me say that there are seven dispensations of time that are found in the Bible,
INNOCENCE,-- Gen.1: man was innocent before the fall,--
CONSCIENCE, Gen.6: God allowed man to have his way causing God to send the flood,
HUMAN GOVERNMENT, Gen.9: -- God gave Noah and his family the principles of governing the world; in Gen. 9:6 God instituted the death penalty. –
PROMISE, -- Gen.12: God promised that Abraham’s seed would be a blessing to all mankind, Jesus the Savior of the world was to come from his lineage.
LAW—Exo. -Deut. Israel was under the Mosaic law
GRACE --John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.—and the seventh dispensation is the
KINGDOM dispensation and it can’t start until the King is here. Rev.20:1-6.
Remember we’re now over 2000 years in the GRACE dispensation, so it could be over any time, when the rapture takes place it’s over.

Now let’s get our mind back on the number SIX.
Jerusalem was taken in 606 by Nebuchadnezzar and carried to Babylon after 490 years of disobeying Gods command to do with the Land. In this, as in everything else, they failed to obey.

Moses waited for SIX days on the Mount before God revealed Himself to Moses. (Exodus 24:15-18) --- SIX days the children of Israel compassed the city of Jericho before its walls fell on the seventh. (Joshua 6:1-2- )

In Daniel 3:1-30, Nebuchadnezzar, a type of those who seek to “deify” man, erected a “Golden Image” typical of himself, and commanded the rulers and people to fall down before it and worship it under penalty of death if they disobeyed.
The dimensions of the “Image” were sixty cubits high and SIX cubits broad. It was prophetic of the “Image of the Beast”, that the False Prophet will command the people to worship in the Tribulation Period after the Christians have been raptured out of this world. (Revelation 13:3-18)

This number SIX is also connected with SATAN’S INFLUENCE OVER MAN.
The SIXTH character in the Bible is the Serpent, which represents Satan.
The first SIX personal references in the Word of God are The TRINITY, (3), Adam, (4), Eve, (5), and the serpent (6). (Genesis 1:1-3- Genesis 2:21-24; - Genesis 3:1-15)
Therefore, the SIXTH character in the Bible is Satan.

The SIXTH time the name of Job occurs in the book of Job it was Satan who used his name, slandering Job by asking a question with SIX words.
Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the Lord and said, DOTH — JOB — SERVE — GOD — FOR —
NOUGHT?”

In Matthew’s account of the temptation of Jesus by the Devil, the word “Devil” occurs four times, the word “tempter” one time and the word “Satan” once, making SIX in all. (Matthew 4:1-11).
In Luke’s account of the-same temptation, the word “Devil” occurs five times, and “Satan” once, making SIX in all. (Luke 4:1-13)

When Jesus was accused of casting out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils, He asked using six words-- “HOW -- CAN—SATAN — CAST—OUT — SATAN? (Mark 3:22-23) Here are SIX words connected with Satan.

The chief priests rejected Jesus as their king by replying to Pilate with SIX words, “WE — HAVE —NO—KING—BUT — CAESAR.” (John 19:15)

The SIXTH time the expression “Thousand Years” occurs in Revelation 20:1-8 it is connected with Satan.
Verses 7-8 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, =and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth ---

The work of Satan is seen in connection with the SIXTH vial in Revelation 16:12-14.
12And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 13And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, ---Satan-
The work of Satan is also seen in connection with the sounding of the SIXTH trumpet in Revelation 9:13-20. There’s much satanic activity in that account.

In the list of the words to do with the flesh as given by Paul in Galatians 5:19-21 the SIXTH word is “Witchcraft”

Goliath, who challenged the armies of Israel, had SIX pieces of equipment in his armor. They were (1) an helmet of brass upon his head; (2) a coat of mail made of brass; (3) greaves of brass upon his legs; (4) a target of brass between his shoulders; (5 a spear; and (6) a shield. (I Samuel 17:4-8)
When David went out to meet Goliath he took FIVE smooth stones. Here is GRACE (five) overcoming Satan and man, David is also bringing Goliaths DEATH. (I Samuel 17:40-45)

The children of Israel in the wilderness lusted after SIX things.
Numbers 11:4-5 And the mixed multitude that was among them fell a lusting :**( to wish for-to desire) and the children of Israel also wept again, and said. Who shall give us flesh to eat? We remember (1) the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely, (2) the cucumbers, and (3) the melons, and (4) the leeks, and (5) the onions, and (6) the garlic.

When Christ was received up into glory far above all principality and power that revealed His triumph over the Devil.
Eph. 1:20 23 Which He**(JEHOVAH) wrought in Christ, when HE raised him from the dead, and set him at HIS own right hand in the heavenly places, 21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.

Well our time has about come and gone once again, it’s my hope and prayer that as people see these great truths to do with the meaning of these numbers that it will cause our faith to be increased as we realize that only God could have put these meanings together in such a away.
