A Fresh Start Deuteronomy 11:12 NKJV
A land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.
Canaan was different from Egypt. The land of Egypt depended upon the Nile River for its fertility. By contrast, the land of Canaan depended upon the rains that came from heaven for its fertility. (Egypt flesh/ Canaan Faith.)
Looking ahead into 2011, are you dependent on man, or God?
I heard a story of a ship that daily sailed the high seas. On several occasions someone would go over board. Quickly a person would jump over to save this drowning sailor. Each time though, both would almost drown. Then suddenly when the two had almost stopped fighting and kicking this wise sailor would jump overboard and save them both.
Mark 11:22-24Amplified Bible And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. 23Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. 24For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].
In Doctor John G Lakes meetings he had a little Englishman who would say to the people when they were praying, “Now let us stop praying for 5 minutes and believe God, and see what will happen.”
As we look ahead to another year, God’s word gives us a glimpse into some of the wonderful things He has in store for us.
Deuteronomy 11: 10-12NLT For the land you are about to enter and take over is not like the land of Egypt from which you came, where you planted your seed and made irrigation ditches with your foot as in a vegetable garden. 11 Rather, the land you will soon take over is a land of hills and valleys with plenty of rain—12 a land that the Lord your God cares for. He watches over it through each season of the year!
1. It a land of faith. 2. A land of grace. 3. A land of letting go. 4. A land of love.
God wants me to remind you that as another year comes it offer’s you a fresh start.
Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.
You are about to enter a year where God promises you everything you need to succeed!
It’s time for you to close the door of the past and move forward!
Say, “A fresh start.” Isaiah 54:1-2AMP SING, O barren one, you who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child! For the [spiritual] children of the desolate one will be more than the children of the married wife, says the Lord. 2Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes,
Notice: The land ahead is not flat and monotonous. It’s a land of hills and valleys; and you need both!
This year you will have to climb some mountains; you will need to endure to make it to the top.
The views will be breathtaking and the rewards will be great. (Mountain views)
This year you will have to go through some valleys, and deal with pain and loss, but ‘there’ you will drink from God’s sweetest streams.
There you will understand, Psalm 23:1-6 (Read) Amp. Bible
No matter what lies ahead this year, He’ll be with you every day. Remember, Deuteronomy 11:12 God’s eyes are continually on the land from the beginning till the end.
