Rev #72~ 20:1-11 GOD DEALS WITH SIN AND SINNERS 9-25-10
Today we’ll continue in chapter 20:- last time we spoke concerning Satan being bound and cast into the pit while the 1000 year reign of Christ is underway, I’ll say a few more words on this matter before we move on.---listen as I read once again verses 1-3.
1And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
We see that it’s not a hard thing for this unnamed angel to take control of Satan, place some type of chain on him and cast Satan into the bottomless pit, the reason is this unnamed angel has God’s power to do so.
This taking of Satan and casting him into the pit is a real happening, the battle of Armageddon is real, the casting of the antichrist and the false prophet into the lake of fire is real, the destroying of the kings and their armies is real, Satan is real, all of these subjects are real and their destruction is also real.
We have saw from time to time on some of the religious TV shows, these so called evangelist “bind Satan” or so they say, But I have no confidence at all in such as this, here in our verses it takes THE POWER OF God to bind satan, there’s no man that can do this.
And while I’m here let me say that some time we see some religious leader that has been ask to do a cleansing of some ones home of demons, and so he comes and goes through his ritual and the demon active is said to be gone.
The devil has his demons to go along with it to keep these dear people involved in these false religions, remember, the devil is a deceiver, he is a liar, he knows just what these people are wanting to see.
Falsehood can have no power over us until we are led to believe and decide that it is the truth. And this deceiving of men, getting them to accept lies and false hopes under the persuasion that they are accepting and following the truth, is what Satan has done in every age, he has had over 6000 years of practice on mankind, he is the best there is in causing people to believe lies.
Ø Verses 4 & 5---------------------------------------------------
4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: ----and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, -----and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Ø the second death------what does that mean?
Every person has a physical birth, and he is spiritually dead until he is saved, and with this physical birth comes sin that we inherited from our parents and so did they and all the way back to Adam and Eve.
Ø Paul says as in talks to saved people in;
Eph.2:1-3 And you hath he quickened,**(made alive) who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2Wherein **(in sin) in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air,**(the devil) the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:**(people that are still lost sinners)
3Among whom**(among these sinners) also we all had our conversation**(every day life) in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. (People that have never been born again are natural born sinners and their sinful nature is of coarse dominant, they know no other way.)
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man** (never been saved) receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
If a person has never been born again,** (reborn of the Holy Spirit) then that person will face two deaths, physical death and the second death, meaning eternal separation from God.

So all these saints who are seated on the thrones that John sees are “part of the 1st resurrection”.
The church 1st and then after the tribulation, the O.T. saints as well as the tribulation Martyrs will be raised, they are the different parts, but their all saved, their saints, they make up the 1st part, the lost are brought out of hell 1007 years later, after the 7 year tribulation and after the 1000 year reign, these are all lost and are said to be the 2nd resurrection.
These people that John saw on the thrones are the Church, the O.T. saints, the tribulation Martyrs and there may be other saints, lets not forget that all of these saints are said to be of the 1st resurrection.
The 2nd resurrection is all lost and at least 1007 years later.

The Millennium is important because it will demonstrate Jesus’ victory and worthiness to rule the nations.
The Millennium is important because it will reveal the depths of man’s rebellious nature in a perfect environment.
Some people seem to believe that man is basically good, and deep down he really wants God’s righteous rule. Many believe that man is really innocent, and corrupted only by a bad environment. The Millennium will answer these questions before the great judgment of the rebels.

During the Millennium, Israel will be the “head and not the tail” and the center of Israel will be the mountain of the LORD’s house - the temple mount, which will be the "capital" of the Government of the Messiah.
Ø All nations shall flow to the "capital" of the government of Jesus.
Isaiah 2:1-4 1The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

During the Millennium, the citizens of earth will acknowledge and submit to the Lordship of Jesus. It will be a time of perfectly administrated enforced righteousness on this earth, some willingly and some because of necessity.
Ps 66:3-b -- through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
Ø During the Millennium, King David will have a prominent place in the millennial earth ruling over Israel; David will be vice regent under King Jesus.
Isaiah 55:3-4 3Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
4Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
Jeremiah 30:9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
Ezekiel 34:23-24 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. 24And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.

Let’s not forget Satan is in the bottomless pit during this Millennial reign.

7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Gog and Magog are the names given the ruler from the north and his land, a territory now occupied by Russia, according to Ezekiel 38:-39: these will be wiped out in the Tribulation.-5/6 th of that wicked coalition.
Why do we see Gog and Magog here, because from its use in the Ezekiel passage, these names **(Gog and Magog) stand symbolically for a rebellious and war-like people and for the nations in rebellion against God and His people.

Satan is turned loose on the people that was born during the 1000 year reign of Christ, lets remember that there will be multitudes born during the reign of Christ from parents that were in their natural bodies, these were allowed to repopulate the earth, these people were all saved that entered the Kingdom, they were the sheep from every nation so called back in Matt. 25:31-46.
But the children born from them were not saved, and remember they still have their old sinful nature as we have today, that came from Adam and Eve, and so they must be saved like everybody else. –They must receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Many of these born during that time will become followers of king Jesus while others are not, when Satan is loosed he’ll once again go all over the earth, with the help of his demons that are again loosed on the earth, and they are obeying Satans commands, they will cause the rebels to believe that they can kill Jesus and His saints as they surround Jerusalem for their last time of rebellion, all of this is Gods way of getting rid of once and for all sin and sinners, as nothing sinful will be allowed to enter the New Heaven and New Earth.

9-10 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city:*(JERUSALEM) and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
As for as I can tell the antichrist and the false prophet are the 1st to be cast into the lake of fire and they were alive, they were cast into the lake of fire back in chapter 19:20, so at this point they have already been there for at least 1000 years, and they haven’t burned up yet and they never will.
The lake of fire is not hell; hell is the holding place of lost sinners waiting for the WHITE THRONE judgment that we’re about to read about.
Matthew 25: 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
So this place of everlasting fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, not for mankind, God don’t want any man to go to this place of torment, and he don’t have to go there, but if he rejects Jesus and refuses to be saved and chooses to follow the devil then he’ll go to be with the devil and his angels, this place called “the lake of fire” he’ll go to hell 1st and then at the White Throne of judgment be cast into the lake of fire.

Let me suggest to you where the lake of fire may be, it may or may not be in the heart of the earth like hell is although from what I have read the heart of this earth is rolling and boiling with extreme heat, if we’ll think about it that is why we have these Volcanoes, how ever, it may be that we have seen this lake of fire many times.
I think there’s a great probability that’s it’s possible the SUN, there’s no doubt that there’s fire there, just some food for thought.
If your saved you don’t have to worry about it because we’re not going praise be to the Lord.

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
