Rev.# 45~13:5-10 THE ANTICHRIST 3-6-10
In chapter 13: as we have already stated the two worst people in all of human history appear on the scene. They are called “beasts.” They are not animals; they are called beasts because of the cruelty of their reign.
God don’t see him as a man, made in the divine image of God, but as a wild animal, under the control of Satan.
He is a man but he is energized from hell, for he comes out of the pit, we’re told this two times.
11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. {Moses and Elijah}.
17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit,---
We believe that Judas Iscariot will be brought out of his own place {acts1:} when the Lord is ready to use him again and will be embodied in this European leader who will form a ten-nation federation, but be slain in the process, and even this is for a purpose.
Jesus said in
John 6:70-71 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
This will cause the earth dwellers to worship the devil, some thing he’s always wanted, the devil impresses the world, he has raised this man from the dead {with Gods permission} and the earth dwellers will believe that this man is really a super man, people will be completely sold on him as such a great power.
John said in;
Rev.13:3-4 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
The devil knows that he only has only a short time at this point before Jesus Christ will return to earth to set up His Kingdom so he is going to do as much damage as he can in what time he has remaining.
Ø This will be the time of Demonism at its peak throughout the earth.
I want to say something right here, have you noticed how many of these so-called “paranormal” shows they have on TV today? They have these so called investigators setting up their equipment trying to catch some thing unusual, and some time they do.
And then they’ll do a back ground history check of such and such a place and find out that there was some kind of tragic death there, and then they’ll say that it’s the spirit of that deceased person that was not able to cross over, or some thing like that.
The only thing wrong with that is, when a person dies, he or she goes right then to their final destination, there’s no such thing as not being able to cross over, a saved person goes immediately to Paradise to be with the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.---notice; absent from the body and present with the Lord.--
And when a lost person dies he or she goes immediately to hell, he probably wishes he could stay here but the Bible is clear.
Luke 16:-22-23- the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments,--no staying around a while, but as soon as he dies, he’s there.
But Demons will imitate deceased people at times to keep people involved in such as this, its all-demonic activity, please remember that.
They’ll often times get a so called priest to come in and do some kind of ritual and the demon will leave, this keeps these people involved with Catholicism. It’s the work and plan of the devil.

If we’re saved we have nothing to fear.
1 John 4: 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.
I’ve said all that to say this, all such as this is getting people minds programmed for the take over of the antichrist once the True church has been taken away.

Ø This is the period prophesied by Paul in
2 Thessalonians 2:8-12
8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love **{1st jn.4:8} of the truth**{jn.14:6} that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:**{Rev.13:14 deceiving miracles} 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Let me remind us that the Roman Catholic Church will play an important role in both the political and religious activity in the end times.
Right now, at this present time we are moving toward a one world unified political system, and a unified religious system.—how many times have we heard the words, “ new world order?” and there’s been talk for some time now about “a one world currency”
It seems that this present administration that we have is set on turning this country up side down, the united states is going to be so for in debt that it will be forced to be part of this new world order, its headed that way, say what you will.

The first beast, the antichrist will be the head of a great confederation of nations. A worldwide dictatorship is the goal of the antichrist.
It will be the final form of the last great Gentile world power prior to Christ’s second coming to the earth.
Daniel saw that the power of this beast in Daniel 7:23 “shall devour the whole earth”
Rome in her previous history controlled parts of Africa, Europe, and the Mediterranean, but never the “whole earth.”—But there’ll be a revived Roman Empire. --
Ø Daniel focuses all his attention in the last six chapters of his prophecy on this world dictator.
In Daniel 7:8 He is the “little horn” in Daniel 8:23 he is “the “king of fierce countenance” in Daniel 9:26 he is “the Roman “prince” and in Daniel 11:16 he is “ the “willful king”

Up to this point, Antichrist has headed a ten-nation European Union; but now he is set out on a new career as Satan’s world dictator.
Back in chapter 6:2 he began as a peacemaker, and even “settled” the Arab-Israeli problem that we all know about if we watch any news at all, by making a covenant with the Jews to protect them for seven years (Dan. 9:27).—remember this is after the church has been raptured away.—Rev.4:
This protection would allow the Israelis to rebuild the temple and reinstitution their religious rituals.
Rev. 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.-the same place.--
But in the middle of the seven-year period (the time we are studying now in Revelation 13—14) he will break that covenant, stop the ceremonies, and set up himself as god in the temple.
2 Thes. 2: 4 -- so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
This will be the beginning of the {GREAT TRIBULATION}-LAST 3 ½ YEARS.
Jesus said in
Matthew 24:15-16 When ye {Jews} therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,* {imagine of the antichrist} spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:---it will be time to go to Petra--

This man that Daniel was telling about is the one and the same as the one we’re reading about Revelation 13.
Ø Lets take up where we left off last time with verse 5 here in Revelation 13:
5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
The second “beast,” described in the last half of this chapter, will organize and promote the worship of Antichrist, making it the official religion of the world!
Almost all dictators have risen to power by controlling people with their words. Adolph Hitler used words to draw the people to him.
Satan will make “the beast, the antichrist” a great orator, whose addresses will blaspheme God, and His name, and His tabernacle (heaven), and the saints in heaven.
But lets not forget, Satan can do nothing without God’s permission (Job 1—2;) so “the beast’s” authority is given to him, it will last for three and a half years, the last half of the Tribulation.

7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
This is telling about “the two witnesses” of chapter 11:, MOSES AND ELIJAH. AND IT’S ALSO A REFERENCE TO THE martyred saints of chapter 6:
This is what Daniel 7:25 is telling about, {he will wear out the saints}

8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
These devil and antichrist worshippers have sealed their doom, they have received the mark of the beast, and once any one does this he or she can never be saved.
Revelation 14:--9-11 If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Ø Let me say this to do with “the book of life of the Lamb”
Every body that is ever born has his or her name entered into the “book of life” listen,
Exodus 32:31-33 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. 32Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.
33And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
Notice, all sin is against God, if a person dies in his sin God then blots his name out of His book.

Paul said in
Philippians 4:3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
Noticed, saved peoples names remain in the book of life.

Jesus said in
Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Notice, the book of life is in heaven.
-------but when a lost sinner dies in his, that is when his name is blotted out of the book of life, all who die in Christ, their name remains in the book of life.
When all is said and done, the book of life is now become the “Lambs book of life”, only the redeemed are in the Lambs book of life once time has run its coarse.

When lost sinners are standing at the Great White Throne of Judgment for the lost, the Lambs book of life will be opened to show that their name is not there, it was blotted out at death.
Revelation 20:12-And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works---
14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

As we look at verses 9 and 10, keep in mind that this has nothing to do with the Church as it was raptured away back in chapter 4:
These verses are addressed to the tribulation saints.
9If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
The phrasing of verse 9 indicates a call to serious attention. An important principle is about to be announced in verse 10.
It is the principle of retribution.
Verse 10 is a word of great comfort. The captor will be taken captive; the killer will be killed. When God’s purposes are finished through the beast, God will take him captive and confine him to the lake of fire.
And for the believers to know this is the patience and faith that sustains the saints who endure these persecutions at that time.
