Rev.#42~12:10-17 ~13:~SATAN & HIS DEMONS ARE CAST DOWN TO THE GROUND~ 2-13-10
Today Lord willing we will most likely conclude chapter 12: and get into chapter 13:, we have been in this chapter longer than any other so far, there is much that can be said about these verses.
We have saw that this chapter is telling about an atmospheric war of Gods angels and Satan’s angels, we’re told in Eph.2: that Satan is the “prince” ruler, and power of the air, but he will lose this position as he and his demons lose this war and find themselves now altogether on the ground, and when he realizes this he turns all his wrath toward the earth dwellers and primarily against the Jews.
Keep in mind that this chapter takes place at the mid way point of the 7 year Tribulation.
Ø 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: -“Christ” means Gods Anointed.
for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
At this point a voice is heard in heaven, we’re not told who the voice is but it’s a voice of praise announcing the millennial kingdom with its salvation accompanied by the power of God and authority of Christ.
Salvation here in this context refers to deliverance from the reign of Satan and the Tribulation and to the completion of that which God will do to establish the reign and rule of Christ on earth.
We know that Satan is always accusing the brethren because we read it in Job 1: & 2:
Although he was cast out of Gods heavenly Kingdom he is still allowed entry to accuse the brethren.
Each and every time we Christians sin he is there informing God all about it as though God don’t already know.
The accusations are many and varied and they go on night and day, but the Lord Jesus is seated at the right hand of God and He intercedes on our behalf.

11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. –Martyrs death-***
This verse teaches us how Tribulation saints will overcome Satan and his attacks in the Tribulation.
Jesus Christ, our Advocate, answers his accusation in heaven, but we today can also answer them by proclaiming and living the Word.
Ø Satan and his world system claims that God is not what man needs; the world claims man’s need is human knowledge, science, and the material things of life.
But we want all men to know that without Jesus as our Lord and Saviour all is hopeless.
Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? The Blood of Jesus removes all sin and condemnation.
1 John 1:7 -- and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. –P-P-F
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation {none what so ever} to them which are in Christ Jesus--

12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
He has about 3 ½ years left at this point.
There will be great rejoicing by the inhabitants of heaven. Satan no longer can enter into the heavens, and God’s kingdom is soon to be established on earth with Satan put away.
But then we find a woe or warning upon those living on the earth because Satan who will then be restricted to the earth knows his time is short.
Knowing this fact, he becomes exceedingly anger, all of which he will turn against mankind and especially the Jews.

13And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
The “woman” Israel, brought forth “the man child Jesus” the Savoiur of the world.
We believe that this is about the midway point of the tribulation, this is when the battle of Gog and Magog comes about that we read about in Ezk.38:-39:
This occurs when Israel is in a false peace and feels safe, living in unwalled villages and trusting in the treaty with the Roman prince, who we know as the Antichrist.—DANIEL 9:27
We read in that account that God destroys the King of the North, who we believe to be Russia along with Iran and the rest of that evil coalition, we’re told that 5/6th will be destroyed.
Remember Satan has directed this {flood of people} to attack Israel, to come and take a spoil and prey. But God destroys this coalition while they are still on the mountains of Israel, before Russia and her allies ever get to Jerusalem.
With the destruction of such a military force, this will create a vacuum in the power struggle of the world and the Roman prince now sees his chance for world dominion.
This is when he makes his move as the beast under Satan’s direction. He will then move into Palestine, break his treaty with Israel, commit the abomination of desolation and begin to persecute the woman, Israel. All of this is the beginning of the Great Tribulation, the last half.

14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 1 year—2 years—1/2 year----3 ½ years, the last half of the 7 year Tribulation.
God in His past deliverance of Israel from Egypt said in
Exod. 19:4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.
Israel had not come out of Egypt by their own effort or their own ability. They came out because God brought them out, and eagles’ wings became a symbol to the Israelis.
--Notice, into her place-into this safe fortress.
Israel’s place we believe will be Petra in Jordan.

15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Ø --water as a flood— is a figure of speech.
We read about Isaiah using this figure of speech in
Isaiah 8:7-8
Now therefore behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks: 8And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.
The land belongs to Immanuel, “Immanuel” is God Himself, the invading nations are told that their alliances will not stand against Judah because God is with us.
Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
I had rather have God on my side than all the armed forces of the world combined. I only hope that the leaders of our country realize that we had best stand with His chosen people Israel, every enemy of Israel that has went against her has gone down in defeat and God is still the same today, He has not changed His mind about His people.
The tyrant of Iran makes his boast about destroying Israel is on the verge of being destroyed, you would think that after awhile these people would see that.
Romans 8:31- If God be for us, who can be against us?
Psalm 18:4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid-
All anti-Semitism is Satan inspired and will finally culminate in Satan’s making a supreme effort to destroy the nation of Israel.
From the brickyards of Pharaoh’s Egypt in Exodus, to Haman’s gallows in Esther, to Herod’s cruel edict to kill all the children two years old and under in Matthew, through Hitler’s purge, and to the world of the Great Tribulation, Satan has led the attack against the Israeli people because of the man child—Jesus Christ.

16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
The flood- is a reference to many people.
God will destroy Gog and Magog with natural forces of the earth, when they attempt to invade Palestine:
Ezek. 38:22 And “I will” plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and ”I will” rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.—notice-its God that destroys this evil coalition, not a human army.
Vs. 16 -- the earth opened her mouth—
It may be that the earth actually opens up at some point and swallows up many of this invading force such as happened to Korah and the people with him.
Numbers 16:32-33 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. 33They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
This is certainly talking about the 144000 True Jehovah witnesses, that we read about in chapter 7 & also chapter 14: they will have Gods seal in their foreheads and the devil cannot destroy them, and there will be 1/3rd of the rest of the Jews kept safe in Petra, their own place.
2/3 rds of the Jews will be killed in the horrible last half of the 7 year Tribulation.
Zechariah 13:8-9 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. 9And I will bring the third part through the fire,** and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
God would save all the Jews today if they would call on Him to save them, if they would receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, but He’ll save no one not even Jews that will not receive Jesus, God is no respecter of persons when it comes to receiving Jesus.
Ø The Jews talking to Pilot, as they wanted him to crucify Jesus said in
Matthew 27: 25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
And so it has all down through the years, the hypocritical Pharisees didn’t want this man Jesus to up set their religious program.
I’m afraid that the hypocritical Pharisees of our day don’t want their religious programs to be up set either, these are the Laodiceans that we read about back in chapter three to do with the last day church, Jesus is standing on the out side of their hearts knocking but they want let Him in, they say no thank you “we have need of nothing”.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
But when the True church is removed from the world just prior the Tribulation, the crowd that rejected Jesus will not reject the Antichrist.
Ø Jesus said in
John 5:43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Ø We will now go to chapter 13: and read and study about this man they will receive.
In this chapter, we will see the Unholy Trinity: the great Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet. This trio of wickedness will be set on deceiving and destroying the earth dwellers.
Let me say the THE GODHEAD IS AN HOLY TRINITY, there’s THE FATHER, THE SON, and THE HOLY GHOST.
The devil also has a trinity, the Unholy Trinity: the great Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet.
The devil tries to imitate God the FATHER; he has always wanted to be worshipped.
The Antichrist tries to imitate THE CHRIST, all that THE CHRIST does and stands for the antichrist is against, he is ANTI, he is opposed to the things of THE CHRIST.
The false prophet tries to imitate Gods true Prophets, Elijah, Gods prophet called down fire to consume the water and sacrifices of the prophets of Baal in 1st KGS. 18:
The false prophet will call down fire here in Rev.13: he also causes the image of the antichrist to speak.
The devil is powerful, but God is ALL POWERFUL. HE IS, EL SHADDAI = God Almighty
