HOW TO WIN A SOUL TO CHRIST

Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
Hey, as you can see it is not a request to win souls. IT IS A COMMANDMENT FROM THE LORD. The very reason the Lord Jesus came to this earth was to die for sinners. He was born to die! He came to seek & to save that which was lost. That my friends is us that are saved. For those who are not saved. The Bible is very clear if we Love Him we will keep His commandments. With that in mind let us get started.
1.Introduce yourself, & your partner. (Please note that we are to go two by two) The church you are from & the purpose of stopping by. Give them a track (for sure) then a flyer if you have one.
2.Have several minutes of light conversation. Compliment them about something. Look for something they like to do. (old car, flowers, yard, home, etc).
3.hen ask may I ask you a personal question. “IF YOU WERE TO DIE RIGHT NOW, WHERE WOULD YOU SPEND ENTERNITY?”
(THEY MAY SAY YES, NOT SURE, & EVEN NO)
NOTE: IF THEY SAY YES: SAY THAT’S GREAT BUT MAY I ASK YOU WANT YOU ARE TRUSTING IN TO GET YOU TO HEAVEN. If they say JESUS, tell them great. Invite them to church.
If they say maybe or even no I tell them
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
God does not want you to wonder about where you are going; He wants you to know for sure.
Would you like to know how to get to heaven for sure? If they say no: I like to point them to the track I gave them & ask them to read it. For it will tell them what I wanted to tell them. Invite them to church, thank them for their time. Then leave it in Gods hands.
If they say yes
Ask them may I take a few moments & take the word of God & show you. Not trying to change your religion. I want you to know how to get to heaven. That is more important then where we go to church. (This takes them from the defense)
Again if they say no remind them Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Even use 2 Corinthians 6:2b (behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) Again if they say no. Point them to the track, & give an invitation to church.
If they say yes
Give them the plan of salvation

The plan Romans road
1.A person needs to know he or she is a sinner (show them) Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; WOW! If all are sinners, then I am a sinner. (Yes) If all are sinners, then you are a sinner (yes)
(Before you can go on they must realize they are a sinner)
2.A person needs to know is that there is a price on SIN.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 6:23a For the wages of sin is death.
“Adam sinned & the curse of death came upon the human race.”
There are 2 deaths in the bible Is when my body gives up & dies they put me in the ground. 1.This is a physical death.
2.Then there is the spiritual death. But I have a soul being separated from God or may I say going to hell. I do not want that do you?
Point out just like working at a job. You are paid for what you do. Same here God says you die in your sins your payday is hell. So I know from the Bible that if I got what I deserved for my sin. Apart from God’s mercy, I would go to hell. Do you think you would have the same thing? (Yes) But guess what I have good news
3.You must realize that Jesus paid that price for our sins on the cross. PAID IN FULL. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus never committed a single sin. This means that He did not deserve to die, but He did die. So if He was not dying for His sin,. Then whose sin was He dying for on the cross? (Ours) So as you can see whatever sin cost the Lord Jesus Christ already paid by His death on the cross. Do you agree? (Yes)
4.You must realize that you must receive Jesus by faith. Into your heart as your Savior & Lord. Trusting Him to forgive you of your sins. You would be one your way to heaven, & know for sure you are going to heaven. Remember Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. That gift from God is free. Do you work for that gift? (No) Do you have to buy that Gift? (No) Do you have to be good for a gift? (No)
That’s right it is free.
All you have do is what? Receive the gift.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How do we do this? Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. According to the word of God if you were to ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins & to save you.
What would He do? (He would save us)
(Hey draw the net) Would like to trust Jesus right to save you & take you to heaven? Remind him or her of Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We must confess with our mouth Jesus (ask Him into our heart) But we must trust Him with our heart.
Jesus is the one who will save you. It is not the prayer or anything else. We must have faith & trust Him alone. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ask him or her “As important as this is, would you be willing to pray for me (confession with your mouth). Ask the Lord to forgive you of your sins. Then ask Jesus to come into his or her heart. By asking by faith Jesus to be your Lord & Savior. Remind them of (Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.)
Do I have your permission to pray such a prayer?
You say a small prayer, & then lead him or her to pray. Help them with praying if need be. (Tell them the prayer will not save them, it is trusting in Jesus, nothing else)
Note: 2 things need to accomplished here 1) Must ask for forgiveness of sin 2)ask Jesus into their heart to be their Savior.
Then Review: Ask him or her again if he or she were to die right now, where would they go? (Heaven) Then again, ask them what they are trusting to take them there? (The only answer is Jesus.) Make sure they understand only Jesus) Take time to make sure they understand.
If all goes well & they know. Ask them to tell your partner what they just did. (Received Jesus into their heart)
Give them an assurance verse John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life” How long is everlasting? Never ending right?
Invite them to church: Offer to pick them & they could be your special guest. (Say nothing about baptism at this time.) (Wait for them to come to church)
If they come sit with them in the service. Then somehow try to get them down to the altar for public profession. If need be give them a verse to help Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Tell them you will go with them (Some may need to be reminded you are not trying to turn them Baptist.) It is important to let others know that you trusted Jesus so they can be happy for you. If they do not come, go by & see them again. Encourage them to come, do this several weeks if need be.
