JUDGMENT # 4--THE JUDGMENT OF ISRAEL, THE TRIBULATION- 8-16-08 JER.30:1-7
Today we’ll continue our study of the 7 judgments we find in the Bible. Although this horrible time of the Tribulation is directed toward Israel, it will affect the entire world.
Let me give you the names again of these 7 judgments.
#1-{the judgment of sin,} this took place on the cross of Christ.
#2- {self-judgment of our daily sins}, after we’re saved. The other 5 judgments are after the rapture of the Church.
#3- {the judgment seat of Christ}, where all that are saved will be judged for our stewardship, our works after we were saved and thus rewarded accordingly, this is after the rapture of the Church}-
And #4-{-the judgment of Israel, Jacobs Trouble, Jer. 30:7, “name-Gen.32:28--35:10” and this has to do with the Tribulation period. The Tribulation is “Jacobs trouble”. But it will affect all the earth.
-#5-{the judgment of the nations}, this takes place after Christ returns and has defeated His enemies at Armageddon, at the end of the 7 year Tribulation, “Rev.19:” but just prier of Him setting up His Kingdom, the 1000 year reign of Christ.
-#6-the judgment of the fallen angels}-
And #7 is of coarse, {the White Throne judgment}, this is when all the lost souls are brought out of hell and judged according to their wickedness, and according to the degree of their wickedness be tormented in the lake of fire, there are not any saved people judged at this judgment, these are all lost.
Listen as I read today’s text found in Jeremiah 30: 1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
3For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
4And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
5For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
6Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
7Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
Lets remember, “Jacob” and “Israel are the same man.
Gen.32:28 Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel—the name “Israel” means, (A prince of God) also in Gen. 35:10.
In case there might be some one listening that doesn’t understand, the man “Israel”, had 12 sons and these 12 sons make up the 12 tribes of the nation Israel. When we speak of Israel, we’re really talking about Jacobs 12 sons, Israel’s 12 sons. The dissidence of these sons.
You and I that are saved love the nation of Israel, we’re commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and He has promised that He would bless us.
Psalm 122: 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee
The reason for Jacobs’s trouble, Israel’s trouble is because they rejected their King, King Jesus, they said in JN. 19:15- 15But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
Isaiah 17: 10-11 Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: 11In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
Micah 3: 12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps,
Ezekiel 20: 33 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:
Zech 13:8,9. AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, THAT IN ALL THE LAND, SAITH THE LORD, TWO PARTS THEREIN SHALL BE CUT OFF AND DIE;
BUT THE THIRD SHALL BE LEFT THEREIN. AND I WILL BRING THE THIRD PART THROUGH THE FIRE, AND WILL REFINE THEM AS SILVER IS REFINED, AND WILL TRY THEM AS GOLD IS TRIED: THEY SHALL CALL ON MY NAME, AND I WILL HEAR THEM: I WILL SAY, IT IS MY PEOPLE: AND THEY SHALL SAY, THE LORD IS MY GOD-
God has at this present time a place of refuge prepared and waiting, running water and all for this woman, {Israel). We know it as PETRA, A PLACE IN Jordan.
Rev. 12:12-14 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
In no other period of time in human history (past, present, and future) will there be so much suffering and destruction as during the seven years known as the Great Tribulation as outlined in Revelation chapters 6: through 19.
The Tribulation will be a time of judgment on the nations of the world beginning with Israel.
The Tribulation begins just as soon as the True Church is raptured away. The True Church is taken out in the 1st & 2 verses of Rev. 4:,
Rev. 4:-5: is a scene in heaven as we’re shouting and praising God, the Antichrist comes on the scene in Rev.6: and all the world will gladly receive him along with Israel.
He will sign an agreement with many for his military protection, he’s over the 10 confederated kingdom of the Revived Roman Empire at this time. DAN. 9: 27 & REV. 17:12
But he will go into the temple there in Jerusalem at the middle of the Tribulation and declare that he is God and demand that the entire world worship him, this is when Israel will see that he’s not the messiah they thought him to be.
2nd thess. 2: 3-12 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
The 1st half of the Tribulation will be a time of false peace.
1st Thess. 5:1-3 1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. .
EZK. 38:-39: tell of the battle of Gog and Magog, this is at the mid point of the 7 year Tribulation, this is the battle that is fully controlled and won by God Himself.
5/6 of Russia and her coalition forces are destroyed on the mountains of Israel, this is when the Antichrist who has already signed this agreement with Israel for his protection [DAN. 9:] will see his chance, or so he thinks, to take advantage of this situation as he sees his enemy armies destroyed, that will be the time that he will enter into the temple and demand worship as God.
We see Russia at this present time flexing her muscles as it invades the little democratic country of GEORGIA, A peaceful nation.
Russia has always been a bunch of liars. --No. Korea. **
But rest assured that according to the Word of God, Russia is on Gods prophetic calendar for destruction.
We read in Rev. 9:15 that God has His Prophetic calendar.
15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. ***This is telling of another time, but by this verse we can see that he does have His plan working on time.
Gods chosen people Israel still has her worse day’s ahead, The Tribulation period. God will not always stand by and allow His people Israel to be down trodden and persecuted. And the reason it is now is because of her rebellion against Him. Israel had more knowledge to do with the things of God than any people on earth and yet rebelled against Him.
Our beloved K. J. Bible is a product of the Hebrew writers for the most part. Paul tells us that in Rom. 9: 4-5 4Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
God has set His chosen people aside for the time being in order to call out the number that only He knows to make up the Lord Jesus’ Church, and when that number is met He will call out the Church at what we call the rapture and then He turns back to dealing with Israel in the Tribulation.
Rom.11: Paul tells us about Israel: listen as I read some of Rom.11:
1I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew --
7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded 8(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
9-12 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: 10Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. 11I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. 25-27 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved:** as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins
God has not forsaken His chosen people nor will He ever. All people and countries that dare mess with His chosen people are going down.
Rom. 8: 31--If God be for us, who can be against us?
Isaiah 49 13-17 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
14 But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. 15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. 17 Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.
God has a great plan and His plan is right on time, its not early and its not later, He knows exactly what going on and at His for ordained time He will turn again to Israel.
