THERE IS A TERRIBLE DANGER OF SEEING PEOPLE AS DISPOSABLE.

I. THERE IS A CRY IN THE CHURCH WORLD TO USE PEOPLE TO BUILD THE CHURCH.
THAT IS NOT GOD’S PLAN --- GOD’S PLAN IS CLEAR --- USE THE CHURCH TO BUILD BETTER PEOPLE.
A. Life can become so cheap that we miss the real lesson:
WHAT SHALL WE GIVE IN EXCHANGE FOR YOUR SOUL?
We have often discussed knowing the price, the cost and the value.
B. WHAT YOU LOVE --- YOU WILL FIND TIME TO DO!
Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
C. Is life precious to you? Many people agree ABORTION IS WRONG.
Can we see SPIRITUAL ABORTION is just as wrong?
DON’T RUN THEM OUT THE BACK DOOR?
DON’T THROW THE BABY OUT WITH THE DIRTY BATH WATER.
II. IF YOU REALLY KNEW --- SOME PEOPLE --- THEY ARE GARBAGE.
THEY ARE WOTHLESS SCUM.
A. DISPOSABLE:
A thing that is cheaper to throw away and replace than to fix.
Designed to be used once --- then throw away.
That you can do away with ...
Nonessential, useless, needless, expendable
B. THE GREATEST OPPORTUNITY WE HAVE TO DEMONSTRATE TRUE RELIGION
IS WHEN THE STONES ARE FLYING.
C. BEING A CHRISTIAN IS MUCH LIKE A TEA BAG,
HOT WATER WILL BRING OUT THE TASTE.
III. IF ONLY JESUS COULD REALLY SEE THE VALUE OF THE WOMAN?
NO, IF WE COULD ONLY SEE THE VALUE OF THE INDIVIDUAL!
GOD OPEN OUR EYES TO SEE! BREAK OUR HEARTS FOR WHAT GOD VALUES.
Luke 7:39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
A. This Pharisee has committed two sins:
1. Low opinion of another --- HEAD SHRINKERS?
2. ELEVATED SELF- OPINION.
B. This Pharisee has already JUDGED THIS LADY.
C. The Pharisee is GUILTY OF A LACK OF COMPASSION and UNDERSTANDING!
D. The Pharisee saw the LADY AS CONTAGEOUS and CONTAMINATED.
E. The Pharisee was A SPECIALIST AT FAULT-FINDING and FOCUSING ON THE
NEGATIVE.
IV. IS IT POSSIBLE FOR GOD’S LEADERS TO MISINTEPRET WHAT IS REALLY
HAPPENING IN THE HEART OF PEOPLE?
A. ELI THOUGHT HANNAH WAS DRUNK?
B. Eli’s two sons were backslidden, their VALUE SYSTEM DID NOT ALIGN WITH
GOD’S SYSTEM.
1 Samuel 1:12-13 And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli marked her mouth. [13] Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.
V. A VALUE SYSTEM THAT JUDGES RIGHT NOW BY THE EYE SYSTEM CAN NEVER
PLEASE A HOLY GOD.
A. WE TEND TO JUDGE BY THE PAST, BY PERFORMANCE, BY THE OUTSIDE,
BY EDUCATION, BY THE SQUARE FOOTAGE, BY THE CAR A PERSON DRIVES.
B. God gives WHITE ROBES, a judge wears BLACK ROBES.
Matthew 7:1-4 Judge not, that ye be not judged. [2] For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. [3] And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
[4] Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
C. Man’s visual field is so limited, we can not see the eternal.
2 Cor. 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the thingswhich are not seen are eternal.
VI. WE DESIRE TO BLAME SOMEBODY FOR EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG!
GOD’S VALUE SYSTEM IS LOOKING TO BRING GLORY TO HIS NAME.
A. It is easy to DEFINE THIS PROBLEM AS SOMEONE HAS SINNED.
B. This didn’t just happen, we need to blame someone... Why is he blind?
John 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
C. We can not leave everything to be explained by man’s eyes.
THIS MIGHT BE GOD’S OPPORTUNITY!
John 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
VII. WE CAN JUDGE THIS PERSON AS GARBAGE BY ALL THE NEGATIVE THINGS
THAT HAS HAPPENED AROUND THEM.
A. We in the modern church have a tendency to JUDGE ---
THIS EVENT IS PUNISHMENT.
Acts 28:4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
B. YOU CAN’T EXPLAIN EVERY BAD SITUATION AS A METHOD TO JUDGE OTHERS.
Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
VIII. WHAT IS THE REAL LESSON? IS THE LESSON TO SETTLE FOR CRUMBS?
THE LADY WAS THINKING GREAT THOUGHTS IN THE MIDST OF A TERRIBLE
PROBLEM. WHAT DID YOU COME EXPECTING? THE LESSON IS ABOUT ATTITUDES!
Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. [25] Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. [26] But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. [27] And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. [28] Then Jesus answered and said unto her,
O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
A. This lady was MISERABLE, the one she loved was suffering.
B. In the midst of GLOOM, DOOM, DISAPAIR AND AGONY --- this woman
appeared to KNOW WHO JESUS WAS.
C. The woman FOCUSED ON THE ABUNDANCE AT THE TABLE, not her LACK!
D. The woman knew her NEED was nothing in COMPARISON TO THE POWER
THAT JESUS HAD. OUR GREAT REQUESTS ARE NOTHING TO HIS VAST SUPPLY.
E. The Lady did not focus on what was told her, her thought was that
JESUS CAN BRING GREAT PEACE. JESUS KNOWS HOW TO PILOT SHIPS IN
THE STORM.
F. The lady trusted: WHEN IT IS OVER MY HEAD, IT IS UNDER JESUS’ FEET.
G. The lady was at JESUS’ FEET EXPECTING COMPASSION, MERCY AND
GRACE.
H. The lady made an honest appeal --- BY FAITH --- BY BELIEVING ---
THE LADY STEPPED INTO THE DOMAIN OF V-I-C-T-O-R-Y.
She became MORE THAN A CONQUEROR!
IX. GOD MOVES NOT BY SUPPLY AND DEMAND. GOD’S SUPPLY IS GREATER THAN
ANY MAN’S NEED OR GREATER THAN ALL MEN’S NEEDS.
A. A check is only good for up to the amount of the deposit.
B. The question is about our ATTITUDE and FAITH to believe.
Philip. 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
X. THOSE THAT TEND TO SEE PEOPLE AS DISPOSABLE TEND TO CALL GIVING
A WASTE!
A. THE RELIGIOUS CROWD CAN LOOSE THE PLAN AND PURPOSE OF GOD
IN RITUALS AND RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES.
Matthew 26:7 There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very
precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
[8] But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying,
To what purpose is this waste?
B. Sometimes ministries can get so caught up in money needs ---
they miss the beauty of the moment.
C. YOU DIDN’T --- BUT YOU WANT TO FIND FAULT WITH THOSE THAT DID?
Luke 7:44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
[45] Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. [46] My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
D. Symbolism:
1. Water --- essentials
2. Kiss --- love, compassion, affection
3. ANOINT --- spiritual power
XI. GOD LOVES THOSE THAT HAVE A TRY AGAIN MENTALLY!
COME LET US INVEST MORE EFFORT AND TIME AND LOVE IN THIS PERSON.
A. PERHAPS MINISTRY NEEDS TO TRY AGAIN? THEN TRY AGAIN?
B. JESUS RECYCLED PEOPLE --- he loved people...
Luke 13:8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
C. JESUS GAVE PEOPLE ANOTHER CHANCE...
1. LEPERS WERE UNCLEAN AND UNTOUCHABLE ---
Jesus gave them a NEW OPPORTUNITY.
2. Jesus gave WOMEN OF THE NIGHT, harlots, those caught in the very act
another chance --- I DON’T CONDEMN --- GO AND SIN NO MORE.
3. Larazus was dead...
4. Jairus’ daughter ...
5. Peter the DENIER!
6. Saul/Paul held Stephens coat.
7. THOMAS THE DOUBTER.
XII. THE RELIGIOUS CROWD WERE NOT SUPPOSE TO HAVE PIGS, BUT THEY LOVED
PIGS MORE THAN A TORMENTED MAN? HE WAS DANGEROUS TO HIMSELF AND
TO OTHERS!
A. METAL BARS? METAL CHAINS? MENTAL CHAINS?
Mark 5:3-5 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: [4] Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. [5] And always, night and day, he was in the
mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
B. FEAR THE WRONG THING? A MAD MAN? OR LOSE OF PROFITS...
Mark 5:15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
C. THE RELIGIOUS CROWD ASKED JESUS TO LEAVE?
Conclusion:
Claim your potential in Jesus.
Claim other people! Don’t give up!
Maybe this time will CHANGE A LIFE! There are no disposable people.
