VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. JESUS is Priest forever
"For it is witnessed of Him,"
JESUS's Priestly duties are ended because He offered the Perfect Sacrifice once and for all, but His Priestly duties are never-ending, still He leads people to GOD by Himself, we are only vessels being used by our LORD JESUS CHRIST, whenever there's a soul that comes to the altar.
Priestly duties in the Leviticus:
Leviticus 3:2 (Amplified Bible)
3:2 He shall lay [both] his ands upon the head of his offering and kill it at the door of the Tent of Meeting; and Aaron’s sons the priests shall throw the blood against the altar round about.
JESUS leads people in the altar as a living sacrifice to Him, and JESUS cleanses them from all their sins because of His Own Perfect Blood.
Hebrews 7:15 (Amplified Bible)
7:15 And this becomes more plainly evident when another Priest arises Who bears the likeness of Melchizedek,
Hebrews 7:21 (Amplified Bible)
7:21 For those who formerly became priests received their office without its being confirmed by the taking of an oath by God, but this One was designated and addressed and saluted with an oath, The Lord has sworn and will not regret it or change His mind, You are a Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 5:6 (Amplified Bible)
5:6 As He says also in another place, You are a Priest [appointed] forever after the order (with the rank) of Melchizedek.
B. JESUS' Priest is after the order of Melchizedek
"You are a Priest forever after the order (with the rank) of Melchizedek"
When you're a priest, it's not something you can choose, meaning you are a priest from birth and you are appointed as priest because you're perfect, and you are a priest that needs to have an order or you're rank as a priest will be questioned. JESUS CHRIST, as the Priest forever is from birth a priest; but not born from Levi but from Judah, his Priesthood came from GOD Himself with an oath by GOD, He is Perfect, with no sin, and His order of Priesthood is from Himself, Melchizedek, the Pre-Incarnate CHRIST.
1. CHRIST's Priesthood is from birth by way of His Sonship
Matthew 3:17 (Amplified Bible)
3:17 And behold, a voice from heaven said, This is My Son, My Beloved, in Whom I delight!
Psalms 2:7 (Amplified Bible)
2:7 I will declare the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, You are My Son; this day [I declare] I have begotten You.
Isaiah 42:1 (Amplified Bible)
42:1 BEHOLD MY Servant, Whom I uphold, My elect in Whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice and right and reveal truth to the nations.
2. CHRIST's Priesthood is Perfect
Hebrews 9:14 (Amplified Bible)
9:14 How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God?
Hebrews 9:11 (Amplified Bible)
9:11 But [that appointed time came] when Christ (the Messiah) appeared as a High Priest of the better things that have come and are to come. [Then] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with [human] hands, that is, not a part of this material creation,
Colossians 1:28 (Amplified Bible)
1:28 Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God), that we may present every person mature (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ (the Anointed One).
