PREPARE FOR THE SEASONS

I YOU GET TIRED, REST IF YOU MUST, BUT NEVER QUIT. THE NUMBER 1 SKILL ESSENTIAL TO SUCCESS IS NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER QUIT!

We must KNOW GOD’S SEASONS. Persistence is a trait that we need to develop.

2 Timothy 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

There was a runner named Usain Bolt. He once said: I have trained for 4 years to run a race that last 9 seconds. People give up when they don’t see instant gratification.

I THINK I CAN, I THINK I CAN --- BUT I PROBABLY WON’T EVEN TRY! IT IS NOT THE RIGHT SEASON.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Blessed are those they say it can’t be done. They prophesy their own doom. When you think you can’t you probably won’t. These that say it can’t be done are being passed by those that are doing it.

GOD DESIGNED NATURE WITH SEASONS IN MIND. WE STAND ON THE PROMISES OF GOD…

Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

WISDOM RECOGNIZES SEASONS AND PREPARES FOR SEASONAL SHIFTS.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Every season of life differs from the previous season. As the seasons change we need to adapt with differing thinking patterns and change our thinking processes to identify season attitudes to bring BALANCE. Sure I am pondering SPRING, SUMMER, FALL AND WINTER. There is much more to the SEASONS OF LIFE.

DO WE REALIZE SEASONS INVOLVE MENTAL AN EMOTIONAL MOODS. The physical seasons and spiritual seasons have an effect on our emotional health and can affect our mental and spiritual health. Our faith levels? Our action/reaction response, our zeal and enthusiasm levels, as well as our energy levels. Our feelings, actions, how we react, and our moods can be reflected in our seasons we are facing. We must learn to discipline ourselves according to what season we are in…

GOD’S PLAN IS TO BE READY FOR WHEN THE OPPORTUNITY ARISES. GOD’S WORK IS ACCOMPLISHED BY THE PLAN BE INSTANT

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

DUE SEASON! NOW HEAR MY HEART, MATURITY GROWS WHEN WE UNDERSTAND THE ROLE OF SEASONS.

In mid-January I saw a dandelion’s yellow head poking through the ground. I knew, baby you are ahead of your season. The is a season to prepare the field, plow and disc. There is a season to plant and fertilize. There is a season to weed out the plants that would choke out the fruit. There is a season to prune the plants --- the wrong season might kill the tree. There is a season to reap the harvest. If you wait to long the crop will mold and rot.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

WE KNOW THERE ARE 4 SEASONS IN NATURE.

SPRING --- SUMMER --- FALL --- WINTER

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF.

DO WE UNDERSTAND THERE ARE SPIRITUAL SEASONS. FOLLOW THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL TO SEE SPIRITUAL SEASONS.

1. BONDAGE/SLAVERY

2. FAITHFULNESS, FAITH: TRUST , LOYALITY, CONFIDENCE --- ALLEGIANCE TO GOD’S PLAN.

3. COURAGE: GOD’S PEOPLE ARISE IN THE STRENGHT AND POWER OF GOD’S PROMISES.

4. BLESSINGS, FREEDOM AND PROSPERITY.

5. BACKSLIDDING, SELFISHNESS, GREED, ME FIRST.

6. APATHY, LAZINESS COMPLACENCY

7. BONDAGE AGAIN

Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Conclusion: We were in Israel on a tour bus. There were two shepherds and their flock standing in the middle of then road. I thought we will be here forever while they separate the two flocks. Not so. One shepherd went to the right. The other to the left. Both shepherds just calmly spoke. Each shepherds flock went with their shepherd. It is the season we must know the shepherd’s voice.
