PRAYERS FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER

1Kings 11:31 “And he said to Jeroboam, "Take for yourself ten pieces, for thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: `Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon and will give ten tribes to you.”

This is the 10th month in the year.

I want you to thank the Lord for keeping you safe up till now.

God has given you the enablement to see the tenth month of the year, I want you to thank Him for that, I want you to glorify His holy name for counting you among those that will see the tenth month. He has mercy on those that he would have mercy and compassion on those that He would have compassion on. Thank Him for His mercy and compassion on you, your family, your church, your career and so many things that you cannot be counting one by one.

I want you to ask for forgiveness of your sins, in any way that you have fallen short of the glory of God, let the mercy of God flow and let there be forgiveness of our sins.

I want us to pray for the people born in this month of October, that the Almighty God will keep them safe; God will protect them and be with them in Jesus name.

Let us pray against the Spirit of Failure

Failure is the opposite of success or victory. No matter how much one tries, no matter how much effort on put in a particular situation, examination, if there is no success, there is no glory.

I want you to say Father; I will not fail in any assignment you have given to me in Jesus name. I refuse to be a failure in the assignments given to me in Jesus name.

To fail in the assignment given to you by God means passing or being successful in the assignment given by the devil. That is, when you fail in the work of God, then you are successful in the work of the devil. There is no glory in failure, so if you are not successful in the work of God, you are not glorifying the Almighty God, but you are glorifying the devil.

For example:

- The 10 spies failed to see Gods power and provision, so they brought back an evil report: their report did not glorify God, but the devil was glorified.

Numbers 13:32 “And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.”

> Father, in your assignment given to me here on earth, I will be successful, I will not work for the devil, I will not glorify the devil.

Another example is the 10 tribes of Israel.

- The 10 tribes failed to walk with God and to do His will. Therefore, they established a separate kingdom given to idolatry:

1 Kings 11:31 And he said to Jeroboam, "Take for yourself ten pieces, for thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: `Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon and will give ten tribes to you

11Kings 17:22-23 “For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they did not depart from them, until the LORD removed Israel out of His sight, as He had said by all His servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away from their own land to Assyria, as it is to this day.”

I want you to raise up your right hand and say, Father, as from this month of October, I want to walk with you and I want to do your will in Jesus name.

Since you have been walking your way and doing your will what have you achieved? The truth is that if you are not walking with God, you will walk with the devil. If you are not working with God, you are working with the devil. If you are not doing the will of God, then you are doing the will of the devil.

>Father, enough of walking and working with the devil, enough of doing the will of the devil, as from now on, the grace to carry on with your own way, your own work, your assignment and will, give on to me in Jesus name.

>Verses 18, 20, 23 of II King 17, say that the Almighty God removed the ten tribes of Israel out of his sight. It is a terrible thing to be removed from the sight of the Almighty God, when you are removed from the sight of the Almighty God, then you are in the sight of sickness, failure, affliction, wars, problems, read the II Kings 17.
