Prayer Of Faith

by

Dr. Gale A. Ragan-Reid (July 30, 2014)

“That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world” (St. John 1:9, King James Version [Jesus, the light of the world]).

Father, bless your Holy Name in you do I trust. Father I pray to you a love song, an evensong of my heart for it is my altar. I know you know what my heart wants and I know you know what my heart needs, please cleanse our hearts LORD for I pray not just for myself but for your family LORD God and the people in the world. It has been said that we do not understand the truth of our hearts and we burn candles so that the light of understanding might enter into our hearts for Jesus walks in the midst of seven golden candlesticks (Revelations 2:1, King James Version) but we still do not understand or hold the light in our hearts.

Father I look to you for spiritual understanding for your disciple John (1:1-10, KJV [The testimony of John]) told us: we must be eternally grateful for all that God provided for us and not desire to overlook the goodness of living simply because it is not pre-packaged and processed, God gave us all we need and meets all our needs everyday but we walk pass all that we purchase every day and see it not nor do we perceive the inherent benefits of what we see each day until someone else harvests it, processes it, packages it, and places it on the shelves in the grocery store (the supermarkets of the world). I am not speaking about the seeds that we plant but the growth of God, already planted by God for us so those who fail to plant still share the harvest of Jesus for God already provided for us, each and every day, each and every year, the garden of God grows, somewhere there is a bull market. The substance of our faith does not bear fruit because we either do not understand or the folks near us who we need to help us do not understand and sabotage our efforts but Jesus said, all things are possible so we must press on for if we who know do nothing for those who do not know depend on us what can we expect from those who truly do not know (“the light of men”). Father, I do not want to walk by your goodness every day and not appreciate what you do for me and cry out the same day for you to provide for me what you already provided for me.

I do work hard for it is not easy to know what all the plants do for my body and how the plants work together to heal me daily. I do work hard for it is not easy to understand the variety of fruits with meaty flesh that sustains me and my body needs for healing and energy. I do not want to be ignorant of how to live an abundant life:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was

with God, and the Word was God. The same was in

the beginning with God. All things were made by

him; and without him was not any thing made that was

made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness

comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God,

whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to

bear witness of the Light, that all men through him

might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent

to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light,

which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him,

and the world knew him not.”

Is the light of Christ in your heart, does the same light of understanding dwell in your heart? Is the light of Christ on your altar, he whom is the sacrificial lamb as the fathers of old made sacrifices for the healing of sins by using unblemished animals? Father, the fire of the light of Christ Jesus does dwell in my heart and through my eyes you can see his glory. I do divinely work to understand God's words of knowledge yet the world here on earth is not without corruptions, evil hearts---black hearts with wicked intentions. Faith sustains me and Jesus saved me (Revelations 1:13, 16, KJV [Of St. John The divine]:

“And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like

unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to

the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
