Sermons

Summary: I hope that this sermon will help us to enlarge and to strengthen our faith, thereby allowing us to not only expect but to see greater works from our prayers.

God gave us reasoning power and told us to ask!

The animal doesn’t even have to ask,

they don’t have to pray,

but the same one that hears our prayer is the same God that all flesh comes to.

He’s the confidence of the ends of the earth, and even to them that are far off into the sea.

The whales and the fish, He’s their confidence.

Every creature,

Let’s read the rest of the chapter starting with the 9th verse

9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

10 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

12 They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.

13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

Aman, the hills rejoice they don’t jump and shout like you do and holler halleluiah, but the hills have got a way of rejoicing.

We need to stop and look at this again and look at God’s whole plan,

and we need to realize that just because God gave us all a little reasoning power that some of us have allowed that power to go to our head, and we have too many people living a perverted life!

When I use the word perverted I mean that too many people out there can’t think about anything but sexual perversion.

A perverted life is a life where you are not living the way that God wants you to live!

And because your life is perverted you are not able to have the confidence in God that you ought to have and live like God wants you to live, and to do the things that God wants you to do.

After all I have said several times that it’s not what we want, it’s what God wants.

It’s not the question that we know the Lord, the question is does the Lord know us.

It’s not the fact that we go to church every Sunday and never miss a time when the door is open, that alone will not get you to heaven if you die tonight, but the fact is, is the church in you?

Do you have God in your life?

Are you working for Him?

That is the question, are you one of the five wise virgins that we talked about a few of Sundays ago, or are you one of the foolish?

Where are you today with your relationship with God ?

Now let’s go on with that scripture, an it said

and the little hills rejoice on every side.

The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

Have you ever been around a corn field and watched it shout for joy?

Have you ever stood and as the wind blew through the corn field?

Have you ever heard the sound that it make?

They shout for joy and they also sing. and I am sure that there are people out there that say O you don’t know what you are talking about, we have never heard a corn field sing.

Well anyone that makes that statement doesn’t believe what it says in the Bible, so they need to just step over to the side this morning because they aren’t even in the same class as us.
