Plan for: Thanksgiving | Advent | Christmas
A sermon on the journey towards restoration and understanding what God requires of us for this renewal to occur.
The world defines restoration as bringing something old, worn out, or broken back to its former state.
Many TV programs focus on restoration, such as "Car S.O.S."
In the Bible, restoration means bringing something into a state that is even better than its original condition.
Job's story exemplifies this, as God blessed him more in his latter years than in his beginning.
We believe that 2015 is a year of restoration for us in various aspects of our lives.
We must acknowledge that we have drifted away from God.
Our church attendance, worship, and prayer have become neglected.
We have become spiritually complacent and influenced by the world.
We need to return to a deep relationship with God and break down barriers that hinder it.
Satan uses division to conquer us as the Church.
We must unite and avoid divisions caused by personal preferences or allegiances.
We need to love and forgive those with whom we have broken relationships.
Jesus forgave those who crucified Him, so we can forgive others.
We have focused too much on ourselves and neglected reaching out to the world.
The Church's purpose is to make disciples of all nations and declare God's glory.
We need to restore true worship, which comes from the heart.
Everyone has a ministry and calling from God; we should not bury them but step up and serve.
The home should be a sanctuary where God's presence dwells.
It should be a place of regular spiritual activity, worship, and peace.
Fathers should act as high priests of the home.
We need to restore the spiritual activity in our homes and bless them intentionally.
God intends to bless His children financially.
Satan has created a world system that robs us of blessings through a poverty mentality, debt, covetousness, and love for money.
We need to honor God with our tithes, prioritize Him over money, and use money wisely.
Restoration is needed in various areas of our lives.
We will now pray for restoration in each area mentioned.
