Outlook Express Text: Romans 8: 31-39

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “ For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I. (Maw and Paw Kettle Film clip) Life is all about attitudes, our hearts and living with the mentality that you don’t have to be right. (I heard one husband talk about his relationship with his wife. He said, “I can be right all the time and be lonely, or I can be wrong and have a happy marriage.” Choose your battles! When you look at a glass of water do you see it half full or half empty? God wants to simplify your life. How? By you trusting in Him through out any situation! Paul could have told his listeners how bad he had it, but he chose to allow Christ full reign and authority in the bad and good of life!

A. Kingdom living or living saved means your redeemer lives big through you!

B. Vs. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If your answer to this question is anything other than how Paul answered it; the enemy will try to throw his assaults at you with this question!

C. Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?

D. Our responds to any situation has to become, “ If God is for me, who can be against me? Many times we are guilty of exalting the problem over our God! Remember, He created everything, even your problem! Guess what? He also created an answer!

E. Three truths: #1. Because of Jesus you have victory! Victory isn’t a change in your sitution; victory is having Jesus! I John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

F. #2. Because of Jesus nothing can separate you from His love! His love is endless, His love endures and His love conquers everything! On page 220 in the “ Old Red Back Hymnal” there is a song that say’s, O Love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall forever more endure, the saints and angels song.

G. At the bottom of the Hymnal on page 220 it say’s “ The last stanza of this song was penciled on the wall of a narrow room of an asylum by a man said to have been demented. The profound lines were discovered after his death.

H. Because of Jesus you can be persuaded! Of what? Nothing can separate me from God’s love!
