The beginning of all we see and know

Learning about our creator

I. God EXISTED before Creation(v. 1)

a) Common sense demands something or someone eternal

(i) Must we ever ask “What was before that?”

ii) No, God has always been there

(1) Some look back to eternal slime

(2) We Look back to our Lord divine

b) God is eternal (Deut. 33:27) (Isa. 43:10)

i) Look back forever and God is there (Psalms 90:2)

ii) Look ahead forever and God is there (Rev. 22:5)

c) This is why God can offer eternal life (John 3:16; 5:24

II. God is SEPARATE from His Creation (v. 1)

a) The majectic beginning of the Bible

i) Repudiates Atheism: God Exists

ii) Repudiates Pantheism: God was before His Creation

b) All Things are of His design and for His glory

i) The heavens declare His glory (Psalms 19:1)

ii) Flowers demonstrate His care (Matthew 6:28-30)

iii) The seas own Him as Master (Mark 4:39)

c) Creation cause all people to be without excuse

i) It preaches everywhere (Psalms 19:3)

ii) It speaks of His Eternal Power & Godhead (Romans 1:20)

iii) We are all accountable to our great Creator

III. God’s PLAN for His Creation (vv 2-3)

a) He did not leave cration in chaous (without form & void)

b) The Holy Spirit at work to bring order and usefulness

i) He does this in our lives

ii) Faith in Christ brings the new birth (John 3:3, 5)

iii) New life replaces the old (2 Cor 5:17)

c) Light instead of darkness

i) “Let there be light”

ii) Our Lord the light of the world (John 8:12)

iii) God’s Word a light for our path (Psalms 119:105)

iv) God brings light to our lives (Psalms 27:1)

Eternal Life from our Eternal God

Escaping the restrictions of time

Here our days are numbered (Psalms 90:10)

Wise ones prepare for etenity (Psalms 90:12)

Receive Christ by Faith to Prepare for Eternity

Nothing can separate us from His Love (Romans 8:38-39)

Trusting Jesus guarantees eternal life (I John 5:13)
