He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.

1 John 2:2 (Amplified Bible)

And He [that same Jesus Himself] is the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins, and not for ours alone but also for [the sins of] the whole world.

1 Corinthians 15:3 (Amplified Bible)

For I passed on to you first of all what I also had received, that Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for our sins in accordance with [what] the Scriptures [foretold],

Galatians 1:4 (Amplified Bible)

Who gave (yielded) Himself up [to atone] for our sins [and to save and sanctify us], in order to rescue and deliver us from this present wicked age and world order, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of our God and Father—

C. The LORD JESUS CHRIST rescued us from the present evil age

"in order to rescue and deliver us from this present wicked age and world order"

The LORD JESUS CHRIST rescued us from the following:

1. Indignation and wrath of GOD.

Romans 5:9 (Amplified Bible)

Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ’s blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 (Amplified Bible)

For God has not appointed us to [incur His] wrath [He did not select us to condemn us], but [that we might] obtain [His] salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)

1 Thessalonians 1:10 (Amplified Bible)

And [how you] look forward to and await the coming of His Son from heaven, Whom He raised from the dead—Jesus, Who personally rescues and delivers us out of and from the wrath [bringing punishment] which is coming [upon the impenitent] and draws us to Himself [investing us with all the privileges and rewards of the new life in Christ, the Messiah].

2. Temptations and trials

2 Peter 2:8-9 (Amplified Bible)

For that just man, living [there] among them, tortured his righteous soul every day with what he saw and heard of [their] unlawful and wicked deeds—

Now if [all these things are true, then be sure] the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptations and trials, and how to keep the ungodly under chastisement until the day of judgment and doom,

if temptations and trials came from GOD, then why would He deliver us from something that came from Him, something to think about, for temptations and trials came not from GOD but from sinful desires yielding itself up to sin.

James 1:13-14 (Amplified Bible)

Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one.

But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).

On the other hand, everything that came from GOD, the FATHER are all good and perfect.

James 1:17 (Amplified Bible)
