Our God Is (For) Us! Series

Chris Tomlin (my favorite singer) sings these words about our God. " And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us? And if our God is with us, then what could stand against? And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us? And if our God is with us, then what could stand against? Then what could stand against?

Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God, You are higher than any other, Our God is Healer, awesome in power

Our God! Our God!"

Romans 8:31 says, "What should we say then? If God be for us, who can be against us? The answer is - no one! He gives to us ALL things because He spared not His son in loving us. Someone can this God who is so high and mighty, be so concerned about us? Charles Stanley told about one of his seminary professors who wanted to teach the lesson of grace. He gave out an exam that was very confusing to the students. But as they read part way through it, he said , 'okay just sign it in the front and hand it in and you will get an "A". And half the class did, others read through it and then signed it. It was a matter of trusting the words of the professor. God gives us His grace freely without doing a 1,000 things to deserve it, that is done out of his love and mercy.

The verse says, "If God is for us. . ." "If doesn't mean God is a possibility but He is a Certainty. God is for YOU! Not was! Not will be when you get to heaven! BUT NOW! There is no waiting. There is no small print to read between the lines. He is not depending on if you have been bad or good like a Santa Claus checking his list twice!

God is for you, racing down the sidelines cheering you on! He's the One telling you," Go ahead!" and do it whatever you are desiring to honor Him. He know you best, what your favorite food is and puff its there. God is for you!

He knows what is good for you because He loves and cares for you! God is for you, he knows your family and that special friend in your life and will for you. God sees you going through this depressing time and God is greater than the one who wants to destroy you.

From Isaiah 49:16 says "I have your name on my hand." In 2005, Moses Bittok, came to America from Kenya, Living in Des Moines, Iowa, he had played the Lotto and surprisingly he won $1.89 million dollars. Wow! Coming to a new country and becomes a millionaire instantly. When we accepted our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we are adopted into His Kingdom as citizens and our reward in heaven eternally which no money can purchase.

"During the 19th century, Ireland was stricken with a potato famine. So it brought many of them to America and one boy especially was hiding in the cab below. But the ship hit an iceberg and frantically they scrambled into lifeboats. The captain was the last to leave, however he noticed a boy coming out of hiding. So the captain went back to rescue him and put him in his lifeboat. But there was not enough room for the Captain.
