Our Duty
Key Verse 22
The real test = DO the Word – Duty -from the word “due” ie taxes are due, bills are due -- Duty is what is due the Lord our Savior!
James makes a clear statement here -- just knowing the Word is not enough! Evidently James (the brother of Jesus) writing to the Jewish Christians scattered after Steven’s stoning, said DO YOUR DUTY, DON’T JUST KNOW IT AND UNDERSTAND IT, BUT DO YOUR DUTY!
