OPEN MY EYES THAT I MIGHT SEE

Eph 1: 15 – 23

Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Ac 26:18 To open their eyes, [and] to turn [them] from darkness to light, and [from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Mt 13:15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and [their] ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

SEEING IN THE NATURAL

Seeing in the natural is nothing other than face value.

Face value depends on who is doing the looking.

In Gen 21 Hagar thought her son would die because of a thirst for water. God heard the child’s cry and God opened Hagar’s eyes and she saw a well of water.

[Ge 21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.]

As parents you and I need our eyes open to things involving our children.

Don’t accept just face value. Investigate!]

Your children will be influence by friends, even so-called christians.

Pay close attention to what they watch, what they listen to, what they talk about.

James Dotson said get plugged in to your children, read the words to the music they listen to.

I could refuse to say that my son has a problem because it is my child.

If I will truly see the problem I can help by son.

OPEN MY EYES LORD, to see the natural things everyone else sees.

SEEING IN THE SPIRITUAL

Numbers 22:31 Balaam was riding a donkey, God had tried to get Balaam’s attention but he would not listen. So God allowed the donkey to see spiritual things.

Even when the donkey ran him into the wall he just got angry at the donkey. But when the donkey spoke to him God opened his eyes spiritually. God got his attention.

Discernment is a great gift if God is the one opening your eyes.

God will make you aware of things and see things no one else sees because God allows you to see

in the Spiritual.

To see in the Spiritual you must be a person of prayer.

You might work 12 hours a day, have work to do when you get home, take care of the children, teach a Sunday School class, be expected to be everything to all people and tell God that you do not have time to pray.

You must be a person of prayer to see in the spiritual. [not I lay me down to sleep…..but a personal time that God has your attention.

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY

For your eyes only, seeing it through Gods eyes.

God seeing you through His eyes.

We are transparent in Gods eyes, He sees all the way down into the heart. Motivation, attitude the why’s and the why not.

He knows the depths of your soul. Nothing is hidden the ALL SEEING EYE GOD.

If you are brave enough ask God to allow yourself to see yourself through His eyes.

He knows the dark hours you face.

He knows when you are at the waters edge, seems there is no way out, then God parts the water.

When seeing through God’s eyes the impossible becomes possible.

Mouse Experiment: 3 mice placed in a bucket of water. Two of the mice die. The third one when it looks as if he is about to die they pick it up so it can see over the edge of the bucket and they place it back in the water. He then swims twice as longer as the others.

When you and I see through Gods eyes we can see over the edge.

This morning God wants you to see, SEEING IN THE NATURAL, SEEING IN THE SPIRITUAL, SEEING YOURSELF AS GOD SEES YOU.
