"And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat thereof, and"

Proverbs 23:26 (Amplified Bible)

My son, give me your heart and let your eyes observe and delight in my ways,

Isaiah 53:10 (Amplified Bible)

Yet it was the will of the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief and made Him sick. When You and He make His life an offering for sin [and He has risen from the dead, in time to come], He shall see His [spiritual] offspring, He shall prolong His days, and the will and pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.

In the new testament in which we lived in, sacrifices and offerings are no longer killed but remains a living sacrifice, holy and separated for the LORD. Therefore our fat in the new testament that is to be offered to the LORD is our willing and obedient heart that observes and delights in GOD's ways.

Romans 12:1 (Amplified Bible)

I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

Yes, it's indeed a sacrifice, because you can't do what your flesh want to do, but you do what the Spirit says through GOD's WORDS. You renew your mind, you burn all those sacred cows and replace them with biblical principles.

Romans 12:2 (Amplified Bible)

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
