Good morning, family of God. I welcome you all to this blessed gathering. We're about to embark on a journey through a very significant passage in the Bible, Luke 19:13. It reads, 'So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come.' Today, we'll be looking at 'The Call to Occupy,' 'The Meaning of Occupying,' and 'The Promise of His Return.'
A.W. Tozer, a respected Christian author, puts it like this: 'We are called to an everlasting preoccupation with God.' This quote captures the essence of our topic today. We've been called to occupy, not just physically, but spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. We're called to occupy until He returns. But what does it mean to occupy? And what promise does His return hold for us?
Before we delve deep into this topic, let's start with a prayer. Dear God, we thank you for your Word that is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. As we explore the truths in Luke 19:13, grant us wisdom and understanding. May we not just be hearers of your Word, but doers as well. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
