OH WHAT A SAVIOR

LUKE 19 VS 28-40

THIS DAY MARKS THE BEGINNING OF WHAT CHRISTIANS MARK AS “HOLY WEEK.” THE WEEK THAT WE LOOK AT THE EVENTS OF THE LAST WEEK OF JESUS’ LIFE IN HIS PRE-GLORIFIED BODY.

**IF YOU KNEW THAT YOU ONLY HAD ONE WEEK LEFT TO LIVE DOWN HERE, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH?? JESUS KNEW THAT, AND IT IS AMAZING HOW HE DID SHOW HIS PASSION FOR US DURING THIS LAST WEEK, TO COMMEMORATE THIS, WE ARE HAVING SERVICES EACH NIGHT STARTING TOMORROW- STARTING @7PM AND THIS IS THE THEME OF THIS ENTIRE WEEK**

WHY WOULD THE ROCKS CRY OUT IF HIS DISCIPLES FAILED TO DO SO?? AND WHY SHOULD WE PRAISE HIM TODAY??

1. BECAUSE JESUS IS REAL- HE IS THE MESSIAH, THE KING OF THE AGES, THE PRINCE OF PEACE, THE LAMB OF GOD, THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH, THE SAVIOR, HE IS THE MIGHTY GOD- JESUS IS REAL. WE ARE NOT HERE TO CELEBRATE A FAIRY TALE, OR FABLE, JESUS ISN’T JUST AN IDEA, OR EVEN JUST A GOOD MAN; TEACHER, OR PROPHET- THE ROCKS WOULD CRY OUT AND WE SHOULD CELEBRATE AND PRAISE HIM TODAY BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS- HE IS REAL, AND I GUARNTEE YOU THIS- HE IS ALIVE AND WELL, HE IS STILL ON THE THRONE, HE HAS CHANGED NOT- THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER!!!

Genesis 3:15 (NKJV)

15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel."

Isaiah 9:6-8 (NKJV)

6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

8 The LORD sent a word against Jacob, And it has fallen on Israel.

Matthew 1:18-23 (NKJV)

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.

20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."

22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:

23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."

Matthew 3:17 (NKJV)

17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Matthew 17:5 (NKJV)

5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!"

**JESUS IS WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE, BEAUSE- HE IS REAL!!

2. BECAUSE HIS REDEMPTION IS REAL - GOD PROVED HIS LOVE TOWARDS US IN SUCH A MANNER THAT JESUS PAID THE REDEMPTIVE PRICE FOR OUR SINS THAT WE COULD GO FREE, HAVE HIS PEACE, AND LIVE FOREVER WITH HIM. – REDEMPTION IS REAL, HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED HIS FORGIVENESS? ACCEPTED HIS LOVE, DO YOU WALK IN HIS FORGIVENESS DAILY?? REDEMPTION IS REAL.

John 3:16-18 (NKJV)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Isaiah 1:18 (NKJV)

18 "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.

Romans 5:8 (NKJV)
