No Place To The Devil (Hix)

Ephesians 4:25-Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.

26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

27 nor give place to the devil.

28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.

29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.

We face every day an enemy, an opposition to our Christian life

Luke 22:31-And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.

32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren."

Satan has asked to have you!! That should put us on edge! That should wake us up!

There are two institutions that God has established and ordained….Marriage and the Church!

Satan has, Satan does, and Satan will attack these two institutions!

That’s why we need to protect them, pray over them, guard them!

Satan has asked to have your spouse, your marriage!

Satan has asked to have your church!

Satan has asked to have your children, your grandchildren, because he knows if he can get them, it won’t be long before this world will be a godless society! (KKK and gangs go after kids 5 year old and up, because if they can if they can preach their doctrine to that child and get the to follow them, they most likely will have them for life!)

Since you and I have an enemy, an enemy so focused on destroying us and anyone we care about, you and I need to eliminate any opportunities for Satan to get a stronghold in our life!

No Place-We need to be careful, what we look at on social media!

We need to be careful, what we look at on TV!

We need to be careful on what we listen to on the radio!

We need to be careful on what we look at and send on text messages!

We need to be careful on what we look at and send in emails!

We need to be careful of the magazines’ we read!

We need to be careful of the books we read!

We need to be careful of the people we hang out with!

We need to be careful of our actions! Ecclesiastes 12:14-For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.

We need to be careful of the words we say! Matthew 12:36-37-But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.

37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

Neither Give Place To The Devil!!!

Some places Satan can slip in or return us too! (Hold My Place)

1-Lying-Revelation 21:8-But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Do you read anywhere in there that it excludes little white liars?

2-Anger-The longer you stay angry, the closer you become to sinning!

The man who shot the abortion doctor, became what he hated!

3-Steal-They give you the wrong change, they don’t charge you for a item!

4- No Corrupt Word-If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything.

Remember you don’t have to take back words you don’t say!!

Well, if I’m thinking it, that’s just as bad, trust me it’s not!!

Always remember that Satan is…. Revelation 12:10-Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

When you hear or say gossip about a brother or sister in Christ, remember where that comes from….the accuser of the brethren!!

When someone starts talking about a person, say something nice about that person and see where the conversation goes.
