Summary: Paul gives us some important questions for us to be reminded of. Each is answered by the phrase, "no one."

Three questions that relate to your:

1. STRUGGLE (vs 31-32)

Romans 8:31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? ?32  Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? ?

No matter what or who comes against you, God is still for you!

Psalm 118:6 (NLT2)

The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?

Which do we see more? The size of our struggle or the size of our God?

During World War II, a passenger ship set sail from Great Britain headed for port in New York City. The Captain of the ship being afraid of enemy vessels, sought the advice and guidance of the British Admiral. The Admiral calmly assured the captain that no matter what happens, he should be sure to sail his ship straight ahead. "Do not take any detours -- sail the ship straight ahead -- continue on-ward, heading straight towards the intended mark," he said.

After several days of sailing across the Atlantic Ocean which was undeniably filled with submarines and enemy vessels of all kinds, the Captain spotted an enemy destroyer off his forward bow. Nervously he grasped the handset and called for assistance. The calm voice replied, "Keep on straight, do not detour, just sail the ship straight ahead. Everything will be just fine. Just keep on going - straight ahead."

After a couple more days the ship pulled safely into the great harbor of New York City. Shortly after docking the great British battleship "Man-of-War" pulled into port behind the passenger vessel. The Captain realized that while he did not see the British Battleship, she was there, standing by ready to come to his defense should it prove necessary.

Psalm 27:1 (NIV2011)

The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

2. STANDING (vs 33)

Romans 8:33

Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. ?

Jesus has set you free from the guilt of your sin!

Romans 5:1 (NIV2011)

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Circus Elephants

1 Corinthians 13:5 (NIV2011)

(Love) keeps no record of wrongs.

3. SAVIOR (vs 34)

Romans 8:34

Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

Let me remind you that Jesus posture in regards to us is completely the opposite of a condemning God!

This is the picture of Jesus that you need to brand into your spirit:

“He died for me”

Romans 5:8 (NIV2011)

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Galatians 2:20 (NIV2011)

…the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

“He was raised to life for me”

1 Corinthians 15:17 (NLT2)

And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins.

Romans 10:9 (NLT2)

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

“He is pleading my case for me”

1 John 2:1 (NLT2)

…But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.

Hebrews 7:25 (NIV2011)

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

A lot of our spiritual issues originate from an incorrect view of Jesus!
