NO HOPE! KNOW HOPE, THE ANCHOR!

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com (YouTube: Wade Hughes)

I have a broken Crayola Crayon, is this useless because it is broken? No! It can still be used.

*HOPE: A desire accompanied by expectation. Steadfastness, to expect with confidence, to desire and wait. Hope is the PROJECTION OF FAITH. Hope dreams ahead. Great mercy, hope is much more than wishing. Anticipation, expectation, to believe, accepting the offer, a feeling of expectation and trust.

NO HOPE NO GOOD DAYS… KNOW HOPE VICTORY IS COMING… HOW COMMITTED AM I TOWARD MY GOAL? AM I ANCHORED TO THE HOPE OF IMPROVEMENT? HOPE CAN BE SPIRITUAL PROTECTION AGAINST THE EVERY DAY ANXIETIES OF LIFE.

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Hebrews 6:17 (MSG) When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee—

18 God can't break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable. We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. 19 It's an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God

Even dead fish float downstream. Are we pessimistic or optimistic about the future? Hope has always been a CHOICE to have or not to have. Hope gets us through struggles, storms and stress.

THERE ARE 3 ESSENTIALS TO THRIVE…

We can have 3 Divine Gifts to help us survive all the troubles and storms. We must establish a priority of faith, hope and love. Real hope will always ENDURE. Hope can never endure without TRUST.

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

** DEATH COMES TO LOVE WHEN HOPE IS LIMITED. LOVE WITHOUT FAITH IS DOOMED TO FOREVER STAY THE SAME. WHEN HOPE AND FAITH STAND UNITED LOVE NEVER FAILS!

HOPE KNOWS YOU CAN ONLY SEE THE MILKY WAY WHEN IT IS DARK… WE NEED HOPE! TODAY IT SEEMS WE NEED ENCOURAGEMENT AND REFRESHMENT.

Our hope is as strong as our trust and faith in God and His word.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

THERE ARE TWO HARMONY NOTES… (HARMONY: TWO DIFFERENT NOTES THAT LOVE EACH OTHER.) PATIENCE AND HOPE… PATIENT IN TRIBULATION.

Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Romans 12:12 (NLT2) Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.

PAUL WRITES US A CLEAR MESSAGE: THE GOD OF HOPE. (Note what it says: ABOUND IN HOPE.)

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 15:13 (NLT2) I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

WHY? WHY? WHERE DO WE INVEST OUR HOPE? FEW LEARN THE LESSON OF MATURITY OF HOPE!

Psalm 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Psalm 42:11 (NLT2) Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!

HOPE IS FOUND IN KNOWING AND TRUSTING GOD AND GOD’S HOLY WORD…

Psalm 119:114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Psalm 119:114 (NLT2) You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope.

MAYBE SOMEONE NEEDS HOPE… WHY NOT LOAN SOME OF YOUR HOPE TO HURTING PEOPLE? WE MUST TEACH THE NEVER QUIT ATTITUDE…

Psalm 39:7 And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

Psalm 39:7 (MSG) "What am I doing in the meantime, Lord? Hoping, that's what I'm doing—hoping

HOPE, REAL HOPE PRACTICES PERSEVERANCE --- MOTIVATIONAL HOPE. THIS TRIAL IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY BY HOPE! THIS PROBLEM IS A BLESSING IN DISGUISE. THIS TEST GOES BEFORE PROMOTION.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

CONCLUSION: DO YOU HAVE HOPE? Hope could be the bearer of new possibilities. Hope refuses to accept the walls and barriers as the final answer. Hope dreams of BETTER! Hope knows this maybe the season when all the leaves are falling off and things may appear that death wins. Hope says: SPRING IS COMING. THE DARKNESS MAY REVEAL THE STARS BUT HOPE KNOWS THE SUN WILL SHINE AGAIN. Never give up! Stay focused in HOPE. Are we living and walking in HOPE?
