Summary: The can be an attitude to bypass the plan of God and institute our own systems. We hear forgive yourself, that is good, but God demands us to REPENT. It is not enough to forgive yourself, we come to the foot of the cross and take ownship of our sins.

NO EXCUSE DAY ... OWN IT AND REPENT...

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com

I. EVER DREAMED OF NO EXCUSE DAY?

A NO COMPLAINING DAY?

Matthew 13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which

when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and select all that he hath,

and buyer that field.

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

A. HOW LONG COULD YOU GO WITHOUT COMPLAINING?

B. WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW?

I was listening to the radio the other day. An old man died in New York.

He was a pauper. He lived in a dirty, run down apartment.

He had little food. He could not afford to go to the doctor.

He could not afford medicine. He often begged for money to buy food. People would give

him food or money and he just barely made it.

The story was told that when he died, some people cleaned out his apartment.

One on them noticed a beautiful picture hanging on the wall.

He took it down and took it home with him.

A friend of his told him he should have it APPRAISED.

The man found an APPRAISER and took the picture to see if there was any work.

The picture was painted in the 1850's and it was a MASTERPIECE and was so very rare.

The APPRAISER took the picture to an ART AUCTION FIRM, there the picture was advertised

and it SOLD FOR OVER 3 MILLION DOLLARS.

The man lived and died a pauper. HE NEVER UNDERSTOOD THE VALUE OF WHAT HE OWN?

WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW CAN REALLY HURT?

C. COULD YOU HAVE A MASTER PIECE?

COULD YOU BE YOU MASTER PIECE?

D. DO WE UNDERSTAND VALUE AND WORTH?

How much is THE WELL worth?

Depends on whether it is wet season or drought?

Matthew 13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had,

and bought it.

II. HONEST EVALUATION AND APPRAISALS MAY MAY REVEAL A DEEP SECRET?

IF YOU CAN NOT GET ALONG WITH OTHERS --- MAYBE IT IS YOU THAT YOU CAN NOT

GET ALONG WITH.

Proverbs 26:20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer,

the strife cease.

21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.

I read where a man explained life as WHAT A PERSON CARRIES.

His lesson was every person carried TWO BUCKETS.

1. BUCKET ONE IS A BUCKET OF WATER...

2. BUCKET TWO IS A BUCKET OF WATER...

Will you pull gas? Or water?

III. IS OUR PERSCEPTIVE A VALID REALITY, OR A TERRIBLE DISTORTION...

A. IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE OFF COURSE AND THINK YOU ARE STILL RIGHT?

2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,

that they should believe a lie:

B. JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE SAID IT, OR IT IS ON THE COMPUTER DOES NOT

MAKE IT THE TRUTH.

C. I heard an Abraham Lincoln quote the other day:

Lincoln has been recorded saying: YOU CAN BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT THE CNN

AND FACE BOOK HAS PRINTED.

D. BE WARNED LIFE CAN TAKE DISTORTED, INVALID CONCLUSIONS.

Mark 8:24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

IV. DOES THIS OPINION ALIGN WITH THE BIBLE.

A. This man called me early on Sunday morning. His family had been in a terrible crisis

and they came to church every time the door was opened. A miracle came and what a change.

Everyone saw the change.

B. He asked me to go for a ride with him the Sunday morning.

He came to my house and we went for a ride.

He informed me this would be his last Sunday at church.

I inquired why?

C. HE TOLD ME HIS GRANDMOTHER RAISED HIM AND TAUGHT HIM THAT

CHURCH WAS NOT IMPORTANT UNLESS YOU HAD A PROBLEM?

D. I opened my Bible to HEBREWS and read:

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of

some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

E. He went on the explain GRANDMAW WAS RIGHT?

He never came back to church.

The spiral downward has been very dark in this family.

V. ONE OF THE DARKEST, DAMNING TEACHING OF TODAY IS THE FALSE TEACHING:

GUILT IS BAD --- FORGIVE YOUR SELF AND GO ON...

2 Peter 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned

to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

A. GUILT AND SHAME ARE HEAVY WEIGHTS --- DO NOT CARRY THIS LOAD:
